We have these (in orange). They make great little hanging lanterns if you’re a tent camper, but the mosquito zapper function is ineffective. Mosquitoes are attracted to carbon dioxide, body heat, and sweat, not the UV light used by bug zappers.

@shanesny Is it powerful enough to zap other bugs? I got a swatter once and found out it would get mosquitos, but flies were too big for it.
@gwrankin It has successfully zapped some gnats and whiteflies.
Got these last time they were on sale, I use three on my very small apartment balcony and it works well for both light and bugs!
@BurnoutTrash What kind of bugs does it get? Moths and flies? I know mosquitos don’t care about UV light.
