Fun fact. Mosquitos aren’t attracted by light. They are attracted by CO2. If this zaps a Mosquito its based on luck. You just have to hope a Mosquito lands on it to take a breather from flying. This will however zap a lot of other insects that are drawn in by light.

We had 2 huge bug zappers in my backyard all my life. Until the past few years, when they did break(what does that tell you about shit built in the old day?). Let me tell you, they zapped the shit out of some bugs. You would hear those fuckers going off while you were trying to sleep bc they were so powerful. I could tell the difference between a mosquito(small) and say, something big like a moth(furry and big) bc of how loud/long the zap was.
I swear they work. We had way less bugs in our yard bc of these things. We will relied on them living on the lake where we had tons (and I mean tons) of mosquitoes.
One night a chipmunk decided to “go into the light,” he never came back. We had to unplug the bug zapper after like 10 mins bc it was a constant zapping that would not rest. The next morning we scrapped off a really fried chipmunk. Only one was dumb enough to jump the hot coals. I wonder if they talk??

@MeatyYoker Light confuses the heck out of infrared eyes of insects though, so some luck, but not blind luck.
