@Bigbearballs The MSRP appears to be $49 each. That said, Taylor Vintage has them marked down to $14.70 each, so there is a discount here, but it’s not massive.
More importantly, I can’t seem to find any reviews on the product itself. Taylor Vintage markets its sustainability, which is nice, but that doesn’t get me to buy unless the product itself is worth owning/wearing/paying for. This is for sale on Walmart and various Mehverse stores as well as the Taylor Vintage website, but I didn’t see any reviews.
@Bigbearballs@Odysseus1001 not sure why the MSRP matters at all these days. As for reviews, they have some products for sale on BezosWorld (AKA the ‘zon), like pants which seems to get good reviews overall, but have a 3.6 average rating.
@Bigbearballs@mehvid1 Agreed that the MSRP is not particularly useful these days. Bigbearballs asked, and I saw it, so I answered it.
Much more interested any feedback on these particular shirts. Looked at the products on “BezosWorld” and didn’t find that feedback helpful. So I’m still potentially open to a purchase but nothing is moving me in that direction now.
@Odysseus1001 Agreed, you were being helpful! I didn’t spend much time, but didn’t see any shirt reviews, hence my only mentioning the pants. Personally, I think they seem like a pretty good gamble. Good luck with your decision.
“Slub” in the name refers to fabric made from yarn or thread that is of uneven diameter. It may be subtle and barely evident, or it can range all the way up to the point where it has big blobby bits that stick out. I’m assuming these are more towards the “just adds a little texture” end, given the description.
Either way, pockets? Meh, as far as I’m concerned. You like 'em, you buy 'em.
@cinoclav@PhysAssist Now I don’t have to worry about my driveway being frozen over. I just gotta figure out a way to get to the pool store. I hope they’re open on a Sunday with double digit temps and ice and snow. I guess I’ll walk and find out, it’s only 10 miles or so. You hear that Dad? Walking in the snow. One way or the other is probably uphill.
The movie reference is from scenes that were cut from The Natural. When Redford’s character Roy Hobbs vanished, he spent years in Africa with baseball guru Lefty 0’Karen, played by Meryl Streep. She teaches him the deeper meaning of failure in relation to baseball. It’s a very Ulysses thing, “To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield” … until you touch home base.
In fact, what no one knows is that “Out of Africa” is just the LEFTOVER SCENES from The Natural.
@Lidio@rpstrong omg! Won’t be reading that one. Biggest fear? Being buried alive, like under a collapsed structure…. Languishing for days perhaps your urine is your only source for sustenance so you manage that but then die anyway. But I’m sure the book is an entertaining read!
The web tells me that scarab is a deep, muted greenish-brown color, reminiscent of the protective shell of the ancient Egyptian beetle. This color exudes an aura of mystery and timelessness, often associated with nature and antiquity.
Well, I was wondering if the shirt part of the t-shirt was longer size for a tall man who doesn’t want his belly cold. Beer cold, yes, belly cold not so much
Hmm, knit shirts with breast pockets made of stretchy material - I think we can guess how that will turn out a few wearing/washing cycles down the road…
@mediocrebot@SSteve Looks like he just got a call from his boss saying that the marketing people want this new thing made cheaper, so the most important feature is going to have to be deleted.

I’d use that as a fire starter, but the fumes are prolly toxic.
Filed for other uses…

“Back in the day” they BOTH were…
And now I want to try this …
@cinoclav @PhysAssist @user56039068 99 degrees would be a pretty damn warm “double digit” temp (F or C). Just saying.
I’d guess your AI photo is referencing “Out Of Africa”
@ciabelle And not “Out Of Beige”
Can’t believe how fast the Scarab XXL sold out… Not into Light colors, THX, I get to keep $20.

You heard it here first.
@cfg83
The pictures of the item are very bad, you can’t get any detail, is that done on purpose to hide the appearance?
At this price, I’d but ‘em – but Meh is trying to charge me sales tax, which my state doesn’t collect on clothing.
@Lidio You can probably deduct it on your state tax return.

@Lidio @rpstrong ha ha. I’m dumb. Clearly I posted my comment in the wrong place. Too lazy to change it!!
@Lidio @talv0002 But what is the book? Don’t leave us hanging . . .
At first read I thought it was “SHLUB” shirts.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
"You cannot touch me, yet I can hurt you somehow. "
I don’t like my AI to be an abusive spouse…apparently, somehow…you made me do it.
The blurb was oh so expertly written by a real, live author, @suprchunk. His name is Sean Adams. Here’s a recent book he wrote! https://a.co/d/bxMwjKo

If they suck I can give them to the hospice thrift store.
