@drmarble It’s explained at the end of the write-up. (i don’t always read the full write-up either…). These say they are 60, previous offer and Walmart comparison are 80.
I got these last time and it’s a good deal for nice hoodies but I’ll warn you that the drawstrings are obnoxiously long, the photos aren’t deceiving about that. They I get in my way ALL THE TIME!
@ashemo Say what now? Cut the drawstrings and have raw, unfinished, fraying ends? This may be Goodwill pricing but I don’t want my clothes to look like I bought them from Goodwill. I prefer no lower than Marshalls.
Got similar ones a few years ago. Going to give these a try as well. I Normally wear L/XL but ordered 2XL based on sizing of these. I like that they are full-zip — I hate ones I have to pull on/off over my head.
Unfortunately my order name had “ugliest” in it, hope that’s not a bad sign.
I’m really glad the copy mentioned the left-side zippers. I had another hoodie that came that way. As a guy with every other zippered thing ever in my life right-sided, it drove me nuts, and I ended up giving it away. (Now, get off my lawn!)
So the men’s and women’s smalls are identical, but the men’s is just a better (IMO) cut? The women’s small specs are oversized (like the description says) for a women’s small, reading more like a medium. Does the fact that these “run small” means the specs are inaccurate and that, the women’s small chest size is actually, for example, 33"-35"? And is that the same for the men’s? As in, I could order a men’s small, and it would fit a small female in a “fitted” fashion?
Signed,
Confused on a tropical vacation, so it’s hard to think about sweatshirts
@fondaporn I think it would depend on the hip measurement and the size of yours. I find some men’s sizing I can wear just fine and others I can’t due to how the hip is cut. Certainly as the measurements are identical I am wondering if these are identical “unisex” sizing so to speak… with zippers on the women’s size on both as maybe they were originally made for women and the company decided to “expand their market”.
@fondaporn If these are like the last batch in cut, the larger sizes run proportionally smaller (vs. expectation) than the Small. I wear 12-14 in tops, and the Medium fits pretty well. I suspect that the Small would get “spacious” on a woman who fits a 6 or below. There’s no flare in the hips on the ones I got, as far as I can tell, but that’s okay for me since I’m undersupplied.
I bought these last time. They’re aggressively plain but for what I wanted - cheap and borderline disposable to keep in the basement & workshop - they’re perfect.
@uscpsycho They are SO flat in color that they look like you’re in a photo where someone did a color select with photoshop and then pasted a single color into it rather than a slight gradient.
@ybmuG I bought them before and they fit better than men’s on the hips (in my experience). I also bought the Large and it’s oversized, which is good for me.
@ybmuG Yeah, all they did was add the dress size to the ranges in the lower chart. On the plus side, these may be the only hoodies made for women whose sleeves are long enough for a gal who’s more than 5’6" tall. (Average-height women get bonus wrist and hand coverage that is almost always omitted from theirs.) On the minus side, lots of the men could not cope with the “wrong side” zipper. I really had to try very hard not to publicly say “You want finger confusion? Try buttoning up a shirt whose buttons are on the left for the first time.”
@ybmuG Yeah, last time I ordered the men’s and got the women’s, at least the zipper was reversed making me think so. So I’m hesitant to buy again. But they are very comfortable and very warm, so I might complete my color set. The price CANNOT be beat.
I bought them last time, in colors they no longer have, so i guess I got the popular ones. Anyway, I wanted to say they are super warm! And I need that since I moved a whole 200 miles North .
@Fuzzalini I have a friend up in the area just north of Dallas who I’ve often asked “So, how’s the weather up in the tundra today?” He regularly gets snow during the winter, while we see it maybe once every four or five years. The driving distance from my driveway to his is right at 300 miles, mostly due North. (Air distance is probably closer to 265, but as I have neither the budget nor the location to use personal aircraft, that shorter span is irrelevant.)
@werehatrack I need to sit down with Google Earth and figure out how far North I actually am. It’s a 277 Mile drive, but it’s mostly northwest and a lot of it is just West. A lot of the change in temperature is because I no longer live in inland Orange County but on the central Coast. The trees are different here! I’m very happy I bought these hoodies before I moved. I wear them all the time. I don’t yet have the constitution for this.
These are definitely comfy and great at this price. Only issue I’ve experienced is that the fabric has bunched around the zipper, so it looks… schlubby.
Mind you, that’s not inconsistent with my aesthetic. And it doesn’t affect their utility! Just curious if anyone has seen the same.
I bought these a while back, fearing that the low price meant that they would not be of the quality I am used to. I usually spend close to $100 for this sort of thing, but the low price made it worth the risk.
I am happy to say that these hoodies do not disappoint. They are true to size, color fast with excellent zippers that will not fail you. This is one of the best deals I’ve gotten on this website.
Nice and warm. Really good quality at a nice price. Glad I bought them. The three of them will probably last a long time too. I may never have to buy another hoodie. Sweet.
Bought these last time. They do run small. I got the men’s large and they are too small for me. Fortunately my son normally wears a medium and they fit him. Also, the zippers are the left “women’s side”.
Meh, if you’re taking customer requests I still want a garden badger statue, specifically the species Meles meles.
You’ve been around 10 years and not once sold a badger statue, I feel like this is a big mistake and you would sell tens of thousands of them if you put them up for offer. You used to have two for Tuesday… I think a Friday Badger day is in order for a regular feature, so we all know we can get our Meles meles fix once a week.
I was not expecting these to be as thick and comfy as they are. They’ve been washed about every week since I bought them and they’re not showing signs of pilling yet. I was quite disappointed when I ended up sharing them instead of having all 3 to myself
I bought these last time. They were my teenage daughter’s favorite Christmas gift and haven’t shrunk despite being washed weekly. They also ran true to size though- even a bit loose. I bought her women’s medium and she’s 5’9.5" with long arms, they fit her great.
We bought both Men’s and Women’s. Zippers are on the left for both. Wow! What a pain to get used too. Sizers are not correct as well. 2XL men I should have lots of room. Nope, much tighter than standard. Cold wash only if you want them to fit. Wife says hers are smaller than standard as well. They are nice, comfortable, and warm. Too bad we couldn’t get a partial refund because of the zippers and sizes.
@dscoti not sure if you have shopped here much… the size info is usually explained as being non-standard and those of us who have bought similar products here before expect that. Also the title of the site might indicate there’s a chance of something not-quite-right in everything you buy here. One legendary product even has “regret” right in the name.
Not sure why you would be sore about not getting a refund.
One thing I will warn about these is that they are not color fast, at least not before the first wash (not sure about after). I wore the burgandy one over a white shirt in the rain and the white shirt ended up being pink in many places, which did not come out in the wash
@uscpsycho Oh, and I’ve noticed after washing they have quite a bit of pilling. Not sure if that will be the same with this sale because the material is different.
And I got used to the left hand zipper pretty quick. I think a lot of guys are being dramatic about this.
@uscpsycho I was shocked that so many guys think the left-hand zipper is a deal breaker! As a female I’ve worn guy’s stuff and it’s just not that much of a pain.
Love them. Soft and comfy. Mine is super large. I bought a size up based on the comments but a large hoody is better than a tight one. I am thinking the women’s sizes may not be as small as others have commented.
These are not “fleece-lined”. They are sweatshirt material. And mine (women’s) did not run small at all. I ordered one size up and they’re huge. They’re a nice material, but not what I was actually looking for and don’t fit.
Soooo the ones with 80% polyester are way better. They have a comfy fleece lining with a cotton outer shell. These were just the flimsy lightweight cotton shell with no liner.
I am checking in 1.5 years later to report (in case these ever come up for sale again) that these are great! For myself, I got the men’s 2XL as I am a big guy (6’3" and just large), and while they are a tiny bit snug around the waist/hips, it’s a comfortable fit and there’s plenty of room in the chest and shoulders with a generous sleeve-length. I will say that peculiarly the charcoal hoodie appears to be a different make than the black and navy ones; the charcoal fits smaller all around and has the fleece-like interior mentioned in the description, compared with the black and navy that are more of the traditional hoodie material. I actually prefer the feel of the black and navy, but they are all great - especially for the price ($8.33 each). As for the Amazon I call my fiancee (she’s around 6’ tall), I got her the women’s large and she loves them too. They give her the comfy, very loose fit she loves for lounging around, and the sleeves are long enough for her. Her black and navy appear to be the same make; we don’t know about the heather grey because she lost it without ever opening it (she claims we never got it/I never gave it to her, but I’m reasonably sure she just lost it and we will find it somewhere in the house in 30 years). I bought these sweatshirts for us when they came up for sale, as we recently had a baby and I thought they’d be great “disposable” clothes for feedings and diaper changes. But they somehow survived infancy looking and feeling great, and I now don’t have the same concerns of bodily substance stains with this enormous tornado of a toddler (just other stain concerns). As for the flipped zipper, I quickly got used to it being on the “wrong” side, and it certainly has helped me with dressing my son in navigating his zippered sweats and jackets. In some other comments, people took issue with the length of the drawstrings, and the ones we received do not have long drawstrings; they are of a good length, and the metal aglets have stayed on. These are great for hanging around the house, running errands, gardening, etc. They are just a great all-around sweatshirt to have handy and throw on when you need to run out or get a little cold. I have one of these on, for even a little bit of time, almost daily. I wear each of mine more than I wear my fancy American Giant hoodie, and I spent over hundred dollars more on that than I did on these three collectively (disclaimer - I am in no way comparing the quality of the AG hoodie with these - the AG is amazing and feels like it will last forever; I am just noting that am getting more usage out of these. Interestingly, these do fit similarly to my AG hoodie).
@trapuh
Maybe I misunderstood but if the zipper is backwards on both you and your wife’s sweatshirts I’m thinking you have them switched. Meaning she has the men’s version and you have the woman’s version. You know buttons and zippers are on opposite sides on men’s and women’s clothing, right… If not, consider yourself learned!
@Lynnerizer Now it all makes sense why people were staring at my exposed ample - and so very hairy - midriff while I was rocking my “belly-hoodies”. And now I have to tell my fiancee that she shouldn’t have been belting her hoodies and wearing them as mini-dresses all this time. Now that I got that out of the way, the description of the product, and the comments, make it clear that all the hoodies are equipped with the zippers on the “woman’s side”, hence why I discussed how quickly I became accustomed to using the “flipped” zipper - and why that aided me in dressing my son (because when you’re facing someone dressing them, the zipper is flipped for you, the dresser).
@trapuh
IDK… I’m thinking people might have been staring at you funny just because of the hairy mid drift!
Which brings something to mind… Have you or anyone else seen Kim Kardashian’s newest product in her clothing line?
It’s called the Faux Hair Micro String Thong, also known as “The Ultimate Bush.” And It’s oh SO GROSS!!
@Kyeh@trapuh
Do you know I had never heard of a merkin before… I’m glad I feel like this is a safe place because I’m feeling pretty uneducated and embarrassed right about now!
And besides that I don’t think too many people are reading this thread from a year and a half ago.
@Kyeh@trapuh
Yes we sure did change the direction of THIS review/convo! Sorry about that trapuh! I’m happy to now be educated about the merkin though and I’ll always remember where it started! Lol…
@Kyeh@trapuh
I was thinking that also, people are just collecting them. I can only imagine what I’d be thinking while cleaning out say a deceased relative’s home and finding a merkin or Kim K’s version. I know for sure I won’t be buying one just for THAT reason alone! Lol
3am thoughts (at 4:11am) I’m wondering if anyone else thinks of that kind of thing, who’s going to throw away YOUR life, YOUR belongings, once you are gone…
using the “flipped” zipper - and why that aided me in dressing my son (because when you’re facing someone dressing them, the zipper is flipped for you, the dresser).
This is reportedly why buttons (and then zippers) were reversed to start with (wealthy people getting dressed by their help).
Quick anectote: some of my wife’s family members eschewed zippers “back in the day” because no Lady needs to get out of her clothes that fast!
@chienfou@trapuh
I thought it was (wealthy) women were dressed by their help and men dressed themselves. Maybe that’s what you said though.
Is your wife’s family Amish or very religious, those are very conservative beliefs. How far back in the day are you talking about?
I grew up with a friend who came from a family with extremely old school beliefs in everything, social norms, education, health and politics, everything in their lives was ancient, and very interesting to me.
a box labeled, “just throw away, you do not want to open this after I die
You just KNOW they’re going to open it, right?
For me, it’s not that I’d be particularly embarrassed, just that I have so much stuff and it would probably be overwhelming to whoever has to deal with it. I am on a constant campaign to reduce it but of course hanging out on Meh is NOT helpful!
@Kyeh@mbersiam@trapuh
Well, I was going to say ONLY if you’re buying lots of stuff but I pretty much only buy IRKs and I have TONS of Meh’s stuff hanging around. 🫤 Along with my own special and most favorite stuff/trash! Lol
I thought it was (wealthy) women were dressed by their help and men dressed themselves. Maybe that’s what you said though.
Yes. And men’s button were made to open one handed (left handed) since for the military to it facilitated unbuttoning a jacket while drawing a sword with the right hand.
Not Amish etc. I’m talking back when they (zippers) were being introduced (early 1900s). Just higher moral standards for women at that time.

They are both 60%/40% and 80%/20% polyesther/cotton? At the same time?
@drmarble It’s explained at the end of the write-up. (i don’t always read the full write-up either…). These say they are 60, previous offer and Walmart comparison are 80.
Yay @camilleberg!
@Euniceandrich it’s like meh sent a personal Valentine’s to her today. They should feel special and honoured.
I’m not sure I want fleas lining my hoodies.
What is this? Meh is trying to fleece us?
@Kidsandliz - you expected less fleecing? You do realize this is meh?
I got these last time and it’s a good deal for nice hoodies but I’ll warn you that the drawstrings are obnoxiously long, the photos aren’t deceiving about that. They I get in my way ALL THE TIME!
@uscpsycho - I guess nobody will let you have scissors? 🫤
@uscpsycho I always get rid of drawstrings. Does anyone actually use them?
@Maccaroney @uscpsycho rarely use the drawstrings, but their do come in handy when it’s very windy.
@Maccaroney No, but these have shiny silver grommets so if you pull the string out they will look awfully weird.

@ashemo Thanks for pointing that out! I was all in until I saw that.
HARD PASS.

@fondaporn I think it would depend on the hip measurement and the size of yours. I find some men’s sizing I can wear just fine and others I can’t due to how the hip is cut. @werehatrack @Kidsandliz Thank you, ladies. (Also, lol @ “undersupplied”
)
60% polyester, 40% cotton… that leaves, let’s see… 0% left for fleece. You won’t pull the wool over our eyes with that one!
I bought these last time. They’re aggressively plain but for what I wanted - cheap and borderline disposable to keep in the basement & workshop - they’re perfect.
@DonWhiteside What would you classify as the difference between plain hoodies and aggressively plain hoodies?
@uscpsycho They are SO flat in color that they look like you’re in a photo where someone did a color select with photoshop and then pasted a single color into it rather than a slight gradient.
@DonWhiteside @uscpsycho I am used to passive-aggressive hoodies so maybe these will still work?
C’mon, admit it - these are all the same. Someone just randomly put them in “men’s” and “women’s” bins

@ybmuG I bought them before and they fit better than men’s on the hips (in my experience). I also bought the Large and it’s oversized, which is good for me.
@ybmuG Yeah, all they did was add the dress size to the ranges in the lower chart.
@trapuh

IDK… I’m thinking people might have been staring at you funny just because of the hairy mid drift!
Which brings something to mind… Have you or anyone else seen Kim Kardashian’s newest product in her clothing line?
It’s called the Faux Hair Micro String Thong, also known as “The Ultimate Bush.” And It’s oh SO GROSS!!
https://www.ladbible.com/entertainment/celebrity/kim-kardashian-skims-pubic-hair-thong-980580-20251015)
@Lynnerizer @trapuh Yeah, Kim reintroduced the merkin!
Truly bizarre!
@Kyeh @trapuh

Do you know I had never heard of a merkin before… I’m glad I feel like this is a safe place because I’m feeling pretty uneducated and embarrassed right about now!
And besides that I don’t think too many people are reading this thread from a year and a half ago.

@Lynnerizer @trapuh I don’t think you should feel embarrassed! This forum gets pretty racy sometimes.
@Kyeh @Lynnerizer @trapuh
And the history of the merkin is equally fascinating…
@chienfou @Lynnerizer @trapuh Yes - now talk about unsavory …
@Kyeh @trapuh
Oh, I meant embarrassed about not knowing what a merkin was, never hearing of it, not about talking about it! Lol
@Lynnerizer @trapuh Well, it’s not something people normally talk about that often … but I heard on the news that Kim’s … creation? has sold out.
@Kyeh @trapuh

Wow, I can’t believe people actually have a need/want for them…
Different strokes I guess.
@Lynnerizer @trapuh I wonder if some of them are just buying them as novelty collectibles.
@Kyeh @Lynnerizer Talk of merkins?! What have I wrought? I’m never writing another review…
@Lynnerizer @trapuh
Yes, we kind of buried your very thoughtful review, didn’t we. Apologies!
@Kyeh @trapuh
Lol…
Yes we sure did change the direction of THIS review/convo! Sorry about that trapuh! I’m happy to now be educated about the merkin though and I’ll always remember where it started!
@Kyeh @trapuh
I know for sure I won’t be buying one just for THAT reason alone! Lol
I was thinking that also, people are just collecting them. I can only imagine what I’d be thinking while cleaning out say a deceased relative’s home and finding a merkin or Kim K’s version.
3am thoughts (at 4:11am) I’m wondering if anyone else thinks of that kind of thing, who’s going to throw away YOUR life, YOUR belongings, once you are gone…
@Lynnerizer Yes, I’ve thought about that …
@Kyeh @Lynnerizer

And down another rabbit trail we go…
/giphy SQUIRREL!
@Lynnerizer @trapuh
This is reportedly why buttons (and then zippers) were reversed to start with (wealthy people getting dressed by their help).
Quick anectote: some of my wife’s family members eschewed zippers “back in the day” because no Lady needs to get out of her clothes that fast!
@Kyeh @Lynnerizer @trapuh Make sure you have a box labeled, “just throw away, you do not want to open this after I die”
@Kyeh @mbersiam @trapuh
Good call!

Or just cross your fingers that you don’t croak beforehand and plan on throwing it away on your next trash pickup day!
@chienfou @Kyeh
Down another rabbit hole…

@chienfou @trapuh

@Lynnerizer @mbersiam @trapuh
@Kyeh @mbersiam @trapuh
Lol
Well, I was going to say ONLY if you’re buying lots of stuff but I pretty much only buy IRKs and I have TONS of Meh’s stuff hanging around. 🫤 Along with my own special and most favorite stuff/trash!
@Lynnerizer @mbersiam @trapuh I get suckered into buying silly things like puffer jackets for pop cans.
@Kyeh @Lynnerizer
Yes. And men’s button were made to open one handed (left handed) since for the military to it facilitated unbuttoning a jacket while drawing a sword with the right hand.
Not Amish etc. I’m talking back when they (zippers) were being introduced (early 1900s). Just higher moral standards for women at that time.
@chienfou @Kyeh
I’m always amazed by how things got started. One of my favorite shows is How’d They Do That, it shows the way things are made.
