@spirit299 I still have Mango, Melon, and Lime powders from a previous sale, and they all have cane sugar and no stevia. The Amazon link above also shows cane sugar. Some versions of canned LD are sweetened with agave nectar and stevia, but AFAIK, the packets are all sugar.
@TehErk It seems from Reddit chatter that LD is now adding stevia to all of its canned and powdered drinks. I still have a few cans of Severed Lime that are stevia-free, but it looks like they are the last. Some drinks used to contain stevia, but listed it under “natural flavors.” I don’t like the taste, so it looks like I’ll be avoiding LD sparkling waters and powders in the future.
I got these in a previous sale. I’m trying to drink less soda and I don’t like straight water. However I didn’t like these. They taste Crystal Light-y and hurt my teeth.
The copy is wrong. Both the lime and mango have Stevia, and they taste gross if you don’t tolerate artificial sweeteners like me. I’m glad the melon doesn’t. I was ready to just throw them all out, but maybe I can at least use those
@pakopako My thinking exactly. I looked for aspartame and acesulfame potassium when I got them, but I didn’t think to look for stevia (and I’m actually not sure I’ve tried it before, now that I think of it). I saw sugar and figured they were safe. They must use it to shave off a few calories, but they’re making their product taste like ass for up to a quarter of the population, so I’m not sure that’s really doing them any favors
Holy Carp! I’m “MEH-FAMOUS”! Yes, good point, stevia is indeed not “artificial” but taste-wise, it lands solidly in the same bracket as anything that we try to replace sugar with other than that sweet, sweet corn syrup.
As a Type II Diabetic, I’d rather have the artificial flavor of the stevia than going sleepy-bye every time I try to rehydrate. I usually end up diluting them so much it doesn’t even matter all that much, just trying to make one bottle of water do the work of 1.25 bottles.
I like these. They’re my favorite powder water mixer yet. I’ve tried Roar, Mio, and Nuun. Roar was definitely the worst being super artificially sweet. I liked Mio as long as I could get the smallest squirt, but they’re pricey. Nuun is also good as I like that carbonation. I haven’t tried Liquid IV. However, with all of them, they’re too sweet so I use one packet with a 40oz Hydroflask. Roar was still too sweet. I find Death Dust to be just right.
Just received mine. Haven’t tried them yet, but have tried Stevia in coffee and tea and found it not to my liking but palatable. Up to now, have been using the NUUN tabs. Try these on a bike ride this weekend. Been taking electrolyte replacement alternatives since my Doc suggested it as a way of avoiding leg and foot cramps in the night.
Reporting back. Tried the Severed Lime for the first time and while not great, it was not as bad as I was led to believe by reading the comments here. Next time, however, I will choose one of the flavors that has no artificial sweetener. I avoid the artificial ingredients where possible.

“AI” Garbage.
@DrunkCat Brilliant! Just amazing! Such creative writing. How do you do it?
@DrunkCat @yakkoTDI With AI, of course.
@yakkoTDI lol okay mr. “incorrect fact”. bot some more
@communist What are electrolytes?
@communist @yakkoTDI The opposing force to electroheavyes.
@communist @mcanavino @yakkoTDI I thought it was electrodarks. My bad.
@communist @yakkoTDI A modern work saving improvement on the 19th century manuallytes.
@werehatrack No, those are electrobrytes. Common mistake.
Bought these a few months ago, awful stuff. Little if any flavor when mixed as directed
These suck donkey balls. Weird taste and disgusting.
Amazon reviewers don’t like the stevia. I wouldn’t either. Pass on these if for no other reason.
/showme just give me sugar, baby
@mediocrebot right on, leave no doubt
@phendrick when was that changed made? I have some still from a previous sake. No stevia
@phendrick From reading about these, supposedly the yellow/gold packers (mango?) have sugar… just the other two have stevia.

(I didn’t get any stevia headaches)
/giphy All sugar baby
@rockblossom @spirit299 check that, there’s stevia AND sugar
@rockblossom @spirit299 From the last sale, my Lime had stevia, but not the other two.

@dpease Maybe it’s the pennies?
@dpease @phendrick It’s definitely the pennies.
@phendrick @TehErk I don’t know anything about pennies, it just doesn’t taste very good.
What a Stupid Product Name… LOL
I love fake sugar and these were gross. I generally like liquid IV better.
@sp00kybats yeah these use real sugar, and not enough to offset the electrolyte (salts)
The copy is wrong. Both the lime and mango have Stevia, and they taste gross if you don’t tolerate artificial sweeteners like me. I’m glad the melon doesn’t. I was ready to just throw them all out, but maybe I can at least use those
@wbarton www.amazon.com/dp/B0CQMS4GZ1

All sugar here. Maybe it’s by batch. Mine are best by 2026:
@wbarton ah I missed the stevia at the end. Weird they have both stevia and sugar.
@pakopako My thinking exactly. @pakopako @wbarton I think they’ll probably get the memo now that their product has been reduced in value to the point where it’s on meh several times.
I though the flavor was pretty mild but not bad. Melon was hands down my favorite. Glad to see them back
why are these getting more expensive every time they’re listed???
@alanfrishman To inspire FOMO purchases.

Does anyone else find it odd that a powdered drink mix is called Liquid Death?
@macromeh Let’s take a moment with liquid iv while we are at it – because a solid iv would be…
@macromeh where else will you get dehydrated water from? (Gene Yuss in Carmen Sandiego, that’s where )
I would get more of these but I’m still stocked up from the last 2 times I bought electrolyte powders from Meh.
They’re definitely not my favorite (liquid IV is hard to beat) but they’re serviceable and massively cheaper, I agree with the copy wholeheartedly.

Its kinda meh compare to the can ones. For this price, still pretty good buy !
