@ironcheftoni@Lynnerizer
And yes PfN IS a lot of fun.
It’s interesting to watch people play this game. It’s a lot more difficult than they first imagine.
Pro tip: if you’re playing make sure spouses/siblings/life partners are sitting next to each other. There is a satisfying glee that comes with getting to use the club that is a blast to watch transpire!
@lmmvirago I like it! I owe my existence to a library, because my parents met working in one. The same one I ended up working in for years. I was tempted by that game they’re offering but I don’t want the whole bundle.
@Kyeh That’s a great story. Thanks for sharing that. I’m retired now, but I worked in libraries for over 30 years. I was tempted by that game as well, but not the others. Too late now. lol
Just want to chime in with an endorsement for Happy Salmon. This is a great game for playing - especially with kids. It involves a lot of motion (and commotion) and each round is very short. We took it with us when we went to Europe a couple of years ago and even young non English-speaking cousins were able to play the game once they learn the symbols. Everyone loved it and we distributed games as we went (we brought extras for that reason).
My only (small) complaint is that they’ve changed the format and it’s now in a box. It used to come in a really cool salmon shaped zippered pouch.
These are still available, but at about four times this price (ie around 20 bucks).
@Lynnerizer
Sorry I didn’t get around to answering this. Ended up working 12 hours in the ER yesterday. As of the posting of this comment they are still available.
Yes, and having more than that is even better. The game mechanics involve each player shouting out whatever card they have on the top of their stack and then performing the action with whoever has the card that matches them. At that point you both throw those cards on the table and start shouting out the next card. The switcheroo card involves changing places with the other person which means running around the table to wherever they are etc. First person to run out of cards is the winner. You can opt to skip a card and put it back in the bottom of your stack if no one has one that matches you, the only problem with that is sometimes you do that and the other players match cards and something pops up on their stack that would have matched yours so it’s a balance between speed and perseverance? Very high energy with lots of motion which makes it especially suitable for young children and zany adults
Thanks for the info, it sounds super fun!
As soon as I read running around the table I knew this game wasn’t going to be for me though! I’m not running anywhere… EVER! I’ve got one speed and that’s TURTLE SPEED! Lol
I would have LOVED it pre-accident! I’ve got a few people that I think would like it, if I only keep one of the games I’m good with it.
We’ve got to find a new game, we’ve been playing backgammon forever, it’s our go-to, same board from when I was a kid.
@Lynnerizer
Wife and I have been playing TACTA lately. Pretty fun, easy game, no problem carrying on a conversation while you’re playing.
![enter image description here][1]
Sorry you’re not fit enough to play happy salmon. It is really a riot but does involve a good bit of motion.

@mediocrebot Since I had no idea how I would envision a withdrawn enigmatic bubble, this is OK. It is at least enigmatic and a bubble. And the curved reflections on the bubble are also enigmatic. So, at least 2 out of 3. And the AI didn’t wimp out and throw an error, so there’s that!

TIL…Yeah, at first I thought it was a made-up image, but no… and, it’s available as an audiobook too!
Price is attractive here, but my kids have Exploding Kittens and it seems like a trash game.
Even with the frickin lasers and sometimes goats?
@dpease @therealjrn
I can definitely vouch for poetry for neanderthals and happy salmon as fun games with the right group s of people.
The cards in these games should not be used as coasters under your margaritas unless you don’t intend to actually play the games.
The movie referenced in the last pic is Ocean’s Eleven.

@chienfou @mediocrebot @smelltastic @therealjrn No, thank goodness.
@smelltastic As a librarian, I can verify that those librarians exist. No, I don’t mean me. lol
@smelltastic @lmmvirago But … your username!
@Kyeh Whoa, you know what virago means! No one has ever known that before. I’m a nice virago which yes, is a contradiction in terms. lol

I kinda regret buying 2 of the last pack of games, but did I buy 2 again? Yes. I’m a librarian, so I had to…
