@IndifferentDude cuz ain’t nobody buyin’ it. be kind, buy a bottle or two and give out at the office xmas party. (that’s Christmas for the Jesus snowflakes).
If I had to choose between men desperately looking for ways to have a full head of hair or men coloring their hair weird colors to cover up for going grey.
I would choose the former. I blue haired Middle aged man is such a millennial exclusive nightmare.
@AaronLeeJohnson see, this is what makes me sad… i’ve colored my hair, when i’ve had it, since I was 13… i’m about to be 55. I’m not covering for going Gray… I simply like “weird colors” of hair.
@AaronLeeJohnson@Noddy93 I’m 70, my hair has essentially no natural color now, and I have very fine hair. If I don’t color mine, I look like I don’t have much, and that’s a problem.
@AaronLeeJohnson, if you have dark hair, a good For Men shampoo allows you to keep a lovely mixture of grey and dark hair. This salt-and-pepper hair color looks more natural than a solid color and does make one look a bit younger.
Idea . After a certain number of “meh” votes, a new deal is shown. It could be a past deal, or a sidedeal remix. Like you can get these bidets that aren’t selling on side deal, 2 for 15 today.
@agnesnutter@stolicat It doesn’t know, but the FDA approval process was gender-specific, and the manufacturers wanted to keep the differentiation to maximize sales of the men’s labelled package by implying that it was free of girl coories.
@stolicat The formula is exactly the same for men and women. The only difference is that the instructions for men say to use it twice a day, and for women only once. Source: I don’t remember, I looked it up the first time meh had this and then bought it for my wife. She’s been using it successfully for months.
@DLPanther@merichmond@stolicat They could easily have put both sets of instructions on the cans or in the paperwork, but the experience within the retail product industry has been that stuff For Men sells best when it is clearly differentiated as being For Men Only, and 100% free of anything that even potentially reeks of femininity. I have seen this at work in the unlikeliest of places, and it is truly baffling to someone who is able to step back and look at it objectively until they understand the cultural imperatives driving the psychology behind it.
@stolicat it absolutely does work for women. It’s just a different dosage. Women apply just once a day. Sadly, menopause has stolen my formerly glorious, thick, and lustrous locks. Minoxidil has returned them to me.
As a side note, Costco offers the same product for women at a much lower price than the product for men. It’s the same damn stuff. Same volume, same percentage. If you have a Costco membership, even Meh can’t match it (sorry @Irk).
@merichmond@stolicat@werehatrack This is one of the few places I think it might not be a pink tax. Without actually looking it up, the FDA may not allow the same drug with different instructions for different people on the same package. Although I suppose they have children’s instructions on some OTC medicines, but that seems different.
The brand I use is exactly the same price for both, and actually lasts longer because it’s only once a day.
@IAMIS you do have to keep using it… It probably doesn’t fall out at an “accelerated rate” but you’ll be back to where you started from before long if you stop.
That’s why I’ve never bothered with my bald patch. I don’t want to commit to anything except my wife for a lifetime.
@IAMIS • Overall success rate: 60%-70% of users see some regrowth.
• Full results: May take 6-12 months to achieve.
• Consistency is key; stopping treatment will reverse any gains.
@dpease I missed that. But I was wondering how important the expiration date is for something like this? If it goes over by a few months, does it matter?

@IndifferentDude cuz ain’t nobody buyin’ it. be kind, buy a bottle or two and give out at the office xmas party. (that’s Christmas for the Jesus snowflakes).
@IndifferentDude @Noddy93 If you’re evil, give it to a guy in his 40s who isn’t actually losing hair

@AaronLeeJohnson my millennial gray can’t come in fast enough. Imma be distinguished af (and then stop saying things like “Imma be distinguished af”)

@jouest
Well, yeah. By then, it’ll be Old fart Dialect (or whatever term is in use by then), and you’ll have updated.
I find the whole AF thing very amusing.
Minoxidil was that really hairy Hobbit who was not invited to Bilbo’s party.

I click on the “meh” every day whether I like the product or not. Should I only be clicking it for the ones I find most ridiculous?
So which is it?
@stolicat wow, how does it know?

@merichmond @stolicat source is a can of “for women” version with identical ingredients and different instructions

First ET and now this. I can’t wait to see what is next.
@Zott hairy ET?
@jouest @Zott E…T… Phone… Hair stylist…
YES! It’s been so long since I was able to braid my nipple hair.
@Bumplepimp Let us know if it works. Pics or it didn’t happen.
So if you use up the 6 cans then stop does it begin falling out at an accelerated rate until you buy more?
@IAMIS you do have to keep using it… It probably doesn’t fall out at an “accelerated rate” but you’ll be back to where you started from before long if you stop.
That’s why I’ve never bothered with my bald patch. I don’t want to commit to anything except my wife for a lifetime.
@IAMIS Just like every other hair medication, yes.
@IAMIS depending on your hair loss, once you get your hair back, you might be able to use it less frequently. No guarantees, though.

What’s the expiration date on these? And how much does that even matter?
@Lister its in the specs
@dpease I missed that. But I was wondering how important the expiration date is for something like this? If it goes over by a few months, does it matter?
“Does it come in effortless sunshine blonde? Only if you do.”
…couple ways to read this joke.
