I’m afraid that something so inexact and ambiguous would be worse than no comparison at all. Except for laughs, of course. But bananas are vaguely accurate, while still being as funny. (That is, on the assumption that everyone else is using the length of the banana as the primary unit.)

(But bananas are no longer unique, so picking a different humorous unit is acceptable I guess. As long as it’s not intended to give actual dimensions any more accurate than just an order of magnitude.)
