“No, the Cuisinart Indoor Pizza Oven is designed specifically for indoor countertop use only. It’s engineered with active cooling technology for safe indoor operation and is not weather-resistant or rated for outdoor conditions.
Important considerations:
• Indoor only – Uses 1800 watts and requires standard electrical outlet
• Not weatherproof – Stainless steel exterior will rust outdoors
• Safety design – Active cooling system is meant for indoor kitchen environments.
If you’re looking for outdoor pizza cooking, you’d want a weather-resistant outdoor pizza oven instead.”
@PhysAssist I use mine outside in the nice weather. There’s no reason not to, they just don’t want people thinking that you can use it in the rain or snow.
@Kyeh@SSteve Usual meh price confusion-had it on morningsave warehouse clearance last weekend for $ 99 (probably less with VMP) but sold out quickly but could still get it morningsave.com for 129 and more on side deal. Guess it wasn’t sold out if you wanted to pay more. Typical meh trick get more money from you.
@Kyeh@SSteve I know but I already have one of the rocker pizza cutters (they work great) and just slide the pizza out of the oven with a pair of tongs and a plastic cutting board so if the VMP discount applied to the $ 99 price not worth $ 30 more for me-might be for someone else.
To make pizzas with store-bought dough, jarred sauce, and cheese from a bag."
omg, this is too true, lol…
got it when it was on in March and we use it at least once a week - my biggest complaint is that there’s not a readout to tell you what temperature it’s at. So if you want to do a thin crust at 700 then thick at 500 you’re just guessing.
Takes about 15 minutes to get to 500 but we can fit four 7" deep dish pizza tins in it at once – barely.
At 700 degrees max it’s not a spiffy as the outdoor Oona’s that get to 900… but I know me and there was no way we were going to cook outdoors often, esp with the mosquitoes the way they are!
While this may actually not be an “outdoor oven” there’s nothing that says you couldn’t use it outdoors then bring it back inside if you wanted to (provided it’s not getting rained on while you’re using it or before you put it away). This is actually particularly handy in the summer when you don’t want a 700 degree oven sitting on a counter in a kitchen that you’re air conditioning. We do that with our waffle makers sometimes, especially for eating outside in the morning in the spring or fall.
I have a pizza oven I got from Aldi (gotta love the “aisle of shame”) that fits inside my barbecue grill. With three burners turned on it gets up to about 700+ degrees in 25 to 30 minutes. It’s also a bit larger than this so comfortably fits a 13ish inch pizza. I have tweaked my sourdough bread recipe to make crust, and I can still hand-toss a pizza … a skill acquired over 50 years ago! We made 5 sequential pizzas in about 35 minutes when my granddaughter and her friend were down with my daughter last week. Love that thing…
Edit: if you do use the one on sale outsidemake sure you use an adequately sized extension cord if you need one. No point having an unexpected fire.
@chienfou
Just to be contrary- what appliance or device meant to be [primarily] used indoors can you not use outdoors as long as the weather isn’t inclement?
[Presuming you can move it out there…]
@PhysAssist
Actually you weren’t being contrary. I was just focusing on the pizza oven specifically since that was the one they were saying couldn’t be used outside. And really, the limiting factor is still the extension cord as a rule.
Oh, and using your regular, standard dishwasher outside is a bit of a PITA. Tho you did change it to specify ‘portable’ appliance so… never mind

I was responding to the Meh verbiage above:
"Specs

@mattig88 @PhysAssist
Thanks for clarifying that. I hadn’t noticed the way it was listed in the specs. Makes much more sense now.
@chienfou @mattig88
De nada
Should I buy this?
@SSteve If you want this particular one, it’s a good price - it was $180 on Sidedeal & Morningsave last time I saw it.
@SSteve I have one, was a Christmas gift and I’m sure cost a lot more than this. Works great.

@Felton10 @SSteve $99! Sheesh. That IS annoying, the way they switch it up & down.
@Felton10 @SSteve I just saw this on Morningsave, but it’s the oven only with no accessories.

@Kyeh Thanks for posting that. I really want to make pizza.

@chienfou @ZPB
Actually you can use all the readily portable ones just fine.
