(Somewhat related, my friends went to the in-laws for Christmas and were gifted rocks; the full story: these were flower pots full of heavy rocks and a tulip bulb that only thrives in sparse soil. They were still miffed they had to carry a nice flower-pot filled with rocks home.)
Mailing plants can be a bit problematic, esp if they are fragile enough to not do well as bare root. Seeds or bulbs would be fine, but many plants don’t ship very well.
Sadly, we back to 80’ oaks so we get very little sunlight during the day. Not much grows despite how hard we try. We’ve had a few accidental pumpkins grow on the side of the house, but the deer and groundhogs seem to fuck everything up if we get growth. We do grow a lot of herbs on the deck that I like to cook with, but the squirrels like to fuck around and find out. Thank you Remington.
