@Kyeh I’ve never seen a house with a flooded basement in Texas.
In fact, I’ve never seen a house with a basement in Texas.
When you dry your basement with the fan, where does the humidity go?
(Maybe why we have so much here?)
@Kyeh@phendrick Houses don’t have flooded basements in TX because instead the floods prefer water your living areas.
In OH where I grew up up our basement flooded on a regular basis. I remember our parents getting us up in the middle of the night to move things off the bottom shelves down there and take the stuff upstairs. They’d stand at the top of the stairs while us kids stood in thigh deep water doing the work. Finally the city fixed the sewer system.
@phendrick Thanks, I do have the OKeefe’s, and a big jar of Eucerine. I also bought that Gloves in a Bottle stuff they sold here a while back. But sometimes I still end up with bandaids over my fingertips.
Worshipping me!!
@yakkoTDI Yes they do that well for me!
@yakkoTDI Speaking of fans, I wish I were as excited about ANYTHING as the Swifties are about Taylor & Travis’s engagement.

Meh. I prefer to have minions.
@shahnm And here I thought you preferred to have refrigerators filled with batteries.
@Kidsandliz The minions tend to the batteries. It’s all part of the great circle of Meh…

Sophicated ladies with intricately decorated ones, waving it daintily to show her femininity.
How about all the above.
Sometimes for drying out the water that seeps into my basement if we get heavy rain or snow. (High water table in my neighborhood.)

@phendrick Humidity didn’t last very long here. Mostly good, but my fingertips get cracked in the winter, not good.

Hopefully it was the storm sewers!
@chienfou I am presuming so as they didn’t smell.
@Kyeh
This stuff worked really well for my wife when she worked day care; she was always having to wash her hands and they tended to dry out otherwise

I’ve got an old tin she left behind and it still is very helpful when I need such.
The tubes also look very convenient
