Fanttik is Tacklife?
5I really like the electric screwdriver I bought here a few months ago, and the other day I happened to be bopping around on eBay and found some good deals on open box Fanttik tools from a seller with fanttik in their name. When I found the one tool I looked at what else the seller had, and there was a large selection of the Fanttik line, as well as a few items from Hoto, Aukey, and our old friends Tacklife. I wound up ordering, and when I got my delivery, the return address was for Tacklife.
I wondered, did Tacklife survive the Amazon ban by becoming Fanttik? It turns out, that’s not exactly the truth, but it’s not far from it. Fanttik was a much younger sister brand to Tacklife when Amazon decimated Tacklife. This opened up the tool space for Fanttik to get some of that share. This article explains in more detail than most want to know: https://www.honghebusiness.com/en/h-nd-1779.html?m324pageno=156
Anyway, I thought it was interesting. And I got some new Fanttik tools to go with my screwdriver. They sent me a white version of the precision driver, while it doesn’t match my one from Meh it is pretty sharp looking. And the tools from the eBay seller sold as open box are indistinguishable from new and were a good deal if anyone’s looking for more Fanttik stuff.

@djslack @Kyeh Spot on!
FTFY
@yakkoTDI fair point. I will say I didn’t know anything of Tacklife until their stuff started showing up here. Same with Fanttik, though apparently they have built themselves up largely through TikTok marketing. Funnily enough Meh gives them more credibility in my book. I’m always telling my wife if it’s being sold on tiktok it’s likely crap.
@djslack @yakkoTDI They really made some stupid marketing decisions with their “pay for 5-star” attempts, but that was so common a few years back that it took about a year before Amazon realized that they had to do something about it. For a long time, there wasn’t a way to report it. Tacklife popped up just shortly before the 'zon got strict about it, and much of their early load of merch had the deadly cards included that brought them down. And they could have prospered without it, because most of their stuff was actually decent. Oh, well. I’m not going to complain about the jumper packs that are still serving me well.
@djslack @werehatrack @yakkoTDI That’s the way I felt about their tools too. Were they major brand quality or performance? No, but they weren’t major brand priced either.
Can you post the seller’s store link?
@Pony sure. https://ebay.us/m/qAwdwi
@djslack Thanks!
Don’t know what they are, don’t really care
¯_(ツ)_/¯
