@PocketBrain I like to dehydrate my own pineapple. It’s awesome but lots of work. When I do it, I usually buy around 20 pineapples at one time. Once dehydrated, they last a long time without spoiling but I eat them quickly anyway.
Good smoked brisket bought by the pound and kept in my freezer; packaged in bite-sized chunks.
Much cheaper and tastier than these pre-fab cholesterol sticks.
I wanted to tell a joke about meat . . . but I was afraid that I’d butcher it. I guess the steaks were just too high and I was too much of a chicken. So I tried to move Beyond Meat jokes but found that to be Impossible.
I no longer eat these, although I did at some point in the past. I’m not a vegetarian, I just don’t like the taste or the feel in my mouth. And, unless they have changed, I suspect they are not healthy, although that alone does not usually stop me.
I prefer sliced meat snacks, rather than the compressed meat ones.
That said, I think store bought stuff, I like the Bucc-ees Bohemian Garlic beef jerky best
My actual favorite is fresh real authentic Mexican-style chicharrones, which are NOT dessicated exploded pork skins. Real chicharrones are cubes of beef or pork fat (preferably beef) fried down until they have a slightly crisp outer shell around a soft and succulent center. Seasoned with just a bit of salt or just plain, they’re amazing. (My partner uses the trimmed slabs of fat from a brisket to make them, and they seldom last long enough for me to get a second plate.)
Vegetarian here.

I don’t snack on meat.
If I had to pick a meat as a snack, I’d definitely just eat a bunch of bacon.
