[Foolish IRK?] What if, as a goof, your IRK wasn’t regrettable at all?
3What would be in such a package? What kind of stuff do you hope for against your better judgement? (To be clear, the next wave of IRKs are definitively regrettable. Just a fun thought experiment here…)

(Don’t say pasta.)
@jouest can I say candy corn
@jouest
/giphy LINGUINI

@jouest @tinamarie1974 apparently giphy doesn’t know pasta
@jouest @ybmuG
@jouest @tinamarie1974 @ybmuG Look what I just found recently that I forgot I had:
@jouest @Kyeh @ybmuG dinner at Kyeh’s!!! I’ll bring the garlic bread and some anti-pasta
@jouest @tinamarie1974 @ybmuG
But will you cook it? I think everyone will enjoy it more if you do!
I can provide a salad and dessert.
@jouest @Kyeh @ybmuG oh sure, you just have to tell me what kind of sauce you want!
Btw, I still have a few bags too
@jouest @Kyeh @tinamarie1974 puttanesca
@jouest @tinamarie1974 @ybmuG That sounds pretty good!
@Kyeh @tinamarie1974 @ybmuG piece of history!
Fresh roasted coffee from Parks, or The Beanyard, or Lemma, or Human Bean, or whatever roaster that is near HQ, light roasted Ethiopian preferred

@medz it’s called a loss leader, like a Costco hotdog
Large quantity of industrial zip ties and a battery powered snow blower.
@medz um.
@jouest @medz At least he didn’t say wood chipper.
@jouest @sammydog01 these are normal things. This is fine.

@jouest @medz @sammydog01
It’s a good thing that nothing is ever tracked …

Catshirts.
(Although it’s actually possible to be disappointed by them. I got some from Amazon Haul when they were 70% off and for the $2-something, still kind of felt I overspent.)
A fully furnished private Caribbean island with a house and a dock and a boat.
Hope you have some big boxes.
Balloon Dogs
I’ve had some pretty good IRKs (once they ran out of laptop cases
). The last one was a bit mystifying…a curling iron, a “fat iron” (which includes instructions that give suggested uses immediately contradicted by warnings), and a WHOOOOOLE lot of dog wipes, never a bad thing.
Oh, and the dream IRK… A new car!
(Feeling very Price is Right.)
((Not a Tesla, thanks.))
@brainmist What’s a “fat iron?”
@Kyeh it claims it is an iron for out fat.
Don’t know that I trust that claim…
fat iron
@brainmist Oh, very dubious … thanks for the link!
Cuisinart, Oster, anything for the kitchen
@pattyrusk1 Three fire extinguisher blankets, two cards of wine stoppers, one of the pull-cord chopper-upper things, and a really thin recycled on-air-nail-cutting-demo Ginsu knife?
Aside from balloon dogs, I would love a convection oven, since I haven’t had a working stove for over 20 years. I would like other options aside from microwave, salads and eating out.
@heartny I think of you every time I see a balloon dog.
@heartny @sammydog01 Same!
@heartny @sammydog01 now thats a legacy
If I had to pick from the items Meh sells
Pizza oven, air compressed leg massage things, led face mask, snap and strain and a snow cone maker. Charlie told me he needs a treat dispenser
If I choose something not for sale on the meh sites a decent telescope, ninja cooler accessories, Dyson hair tools, Charlie said to add Purina PB treats or red barn filled bones.
The funny part is that I can’t recall a Meh item from the past year that I could actually enjoy but don’t already have either the same or a competing version. Pretty much any item I got would be something I’d end up regifting to one of the folks-in-need on my pass-along list.
I guess the cats would be OK with the most recent flavor of canned seafood. They like two of the three flavors I bought. (The keto cake mix that the SO picked up turned out to be regrettable.)
A Roomba! A set of those adorable Cuisinart tie dye knives. One of those power station thingies that I can’t remember the name of, to keep my oxygen machine running when the power goes out. A set of hard anodized pots and pans.
@Pony The best of the monster power banks was the Energizer version. (I will never call one of them a “generator”, because that’s not what they are.)
@Pony @werehatrack They are actually called ‘power stations’.
@narfcake @werehatrack Well, go me! I actually got something right for a change.
I’d like one of those solar generator things that sell on here for $500 in an IRK.
To be fair, I have received some nice IRKs in the past. My most recent one was a full set of cookware! I put those things up for when my adult child moves out (she’s just starting college, so it will be a few years)
/giphy letterkenny to be fair

Honestly, Ive never seen Bag of Crap quality in any of the regret kits nor have I seen people post quality regret kits. One of the reasons why I stayed on woot for so long were those BoCs, something I think Mr. Rutledge should take into consideration. I still think pre amzn woot was the classic, best deals site ever, then came a bunch of other copy cat types, which out were my favorite were Steep and Cheap (Prior to their sellout to backcountry)
@ddkk You haven’t followed the reveals very closely, then. I’ve gotten many regrettable/forgettable things, but I’ve also gotten some phenomenal items, like an air-fryer toaster oven and an 11-piece set of stainless steel pots and pans. Recently.
