@therealjrn
Had a chance to see Adam do this recently live in Beacon New York at the Towne Crier. Can’t think of Boston without thinking of this tune…
Warning NSFW (or around your mother probably, either!)
@therealjrn
Yeah. Every time I listen to that song I have a fun time parsing out all the cultural references. Glad you approved.
If you ever have a chance to see Adam it’s worth the effort.
@chienfou@therealjrn I worked with some guys from up there and was on work trips a few times but not for long enough to absorb the “culture.” I would love to hang out there but could never pick up the proper accent. So F#{$ it all!
EDIT It is a great place to visit any time of year. Off-season probably better. Of course bring some Winter gear. So much history of early U.S. back when “we” as a country were young and had our whole future ahead of us. Not sure if the Navy sailing ship is still there, but worth a visit. Just walk the streets.
Hey @Cerridwyn … Didn’t really mean to waylay this post. Those look extremely appealing. I may have to check those out. (And you’re right … $$)
As I mentioned in another thread that’s kind of what I do on a routine basis with an assortment of bags of things from Aldi, the Dollar tree, Big lots, wherever. It’s an ever shifting recipe, and never the same twice, but ends up being way cheaper in the long run.
Kind of like the expense of Dot’s pretzels. They’re super tasty but I can’t get myself to pay that for them.
@chienfou no worries. I do it at HomeGoods of all places. I discovered this really awesome popcorn, at least to me, from Maine. Called little lads. If you buy it from them it’s outrageous, if you buy it from Amazon it’s almost that rage and you have to buy three bags, that’s not really that much but it is what it is. On the other hand I can get a bag about every 2 or 3 months at HomeGoods and be happy.
First I was thinking Boston…
Come to find out they’re neighbors of mine over in Arkansas!
That being said, the do look good!

@chienfou @therealjrn I just saw him in your video. (You’re right - it was worth the effort I put into it…

My son was an Eastie for a bit (lived in East Boston). Had a chance to spend a bit of time up there which was wicked fun.
