How old are "oldies"?: Shoddy Goods 106
0Something’s definitely wrong with time - 2010 has got to be just a few years ago, not 16. And there’s no way Nirvana’s Nevermind is closer to Ella Fitzgerald’s songbook era than today. What shocks you when you think back to things that sure seem recent, but are apparently just a billboard telling us how very old we’re getting? Let’s talk in this week’s Shoddy Goods chat.

Are you young whippersnappers.
Almost 40 years ago I bought tickets to an Aerosmith concert for me and a buddy from Ticketmaster at Hecht’s in the mall. Lawn seats. We met twins and they snuck us in and we ended up with 8th row seats. There was some band opening for them that no one had heard of. I think their name was Guns 'n Roses. Wasn’t a bad show.
And the tickets were $16. Heh.
edit - Also I do have Ella on vinyl
