My mother passed away in 1981
And personally, it’s a hallmark holiday
Celebrate your mother every day
(unless of course you were not appropriately taken care of, then celebrate mothers day as liberation day)
@Cerridwyn Mine passed in '94. I have a daughter, but for reasons we both understand, it would be really weird for her to express the stereotypical Hallmark holiday sentiments to me on that date. (And she appears to have decided that children are not on the option list for now, so the other potential flag has yet to be raised.)
None of the cats that I have raised from kittens appears disposed to recognizing the date either. (And I don’t do dogs.)
I’m really late to start cooking. I’m hosting Mother’s Day. Polish dinner.
@Star2236 polish dinner can require a lot of runway
