I was hoping the use of the empty coconut halves would be as a top for an island girl’s use…but the equine use is pretty brilliant as well. /showme attractive island girl wearing a coconut bra and playing a ukulele.
@ItalianScallion I’m not sure if I’m the best or worst parent but the Holy Grail is all three of my children’s favorite film. I’ve only let the eldest watch Life of Brian so far but we’re a Monty python house if ever these was one! We quote them multiple times a day. In fact our kids know some of the quotes but don’t know the scenes or the sketches that they’re from. “it’s Wah fer thin!” And “get me a bucket” are two that come up frequently. I’m guessing you know the Cheese shop as well.
@sillyheathen The cheese shop? Of course! “Venezuelan beaver cheese?” I think The Holy Grail is the most quotable of all their films and it’s my favorite. “Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!”
@ItalianScallion oh though life of Brian is a close second in this house. “He’s not the messiah! He’s a very naughty boy!” And “Nice one centurion!” are staples in Daltonwood.
@ItalianScallion@sillyheathen
“Peoples Romanes they go the house.” My wife used that bit in her Latin classes all the time.
“What have the Romans done for us?” OK, Besides the roads, the sewers …
When we went to Scotland we went to the castle where the French soldiers taunt Arthur. They keep two coconut halves at the ticket booth they will gladly loan you to re-enact the approach scene with. We, of course, did just that!
@chienfou@ItalianScallion I’m actually building a giant wooden badger for my yard once the shop is finished. Also I’m a hufflepuff so it’s a win all round.

@tohar1 Don’t forget the /showme has to be at the beginning of a line…

@ItalianScallion @tohar1 I’ll see if I can find one in the wild. I’m heading to Kauai tomorrow.
