The video indicates that to skip to the next track, you triple-tap the left-hand earbud, and for the previous track, you triple-tap the right-hand earbud. Whose idea was that??
On the other hand (lol), volume controls are associated with the directions you might expect.
Slightly better here even with shipping, but I might rather have clear if I’m advertising VHS tapes on my ears.
Like, seriously, don’t most people do this every week? Everyone has a brain-blip from time to time, but how are there people who hang out in the middle of an aisle with their cart askew, blocking all progress, while they chat with their partner, trying to remember what else they need for dinner?
It looks like these are touch-sensitive and not buttons? I’d like to wear these to sleep, but my other cheap open earbuds use touch and my ear keeps activating them when I lay down. The Nothing Opens are the only ones I’ve seen with pressure-sensitive controls.
@phelmurh Sanyo is still around, but owned by Panasonic now. The Sanyo brand isn’t marketed in the US, and is mostly a business-oriented AV equipment supplier in the Pacific market. Radio Shack (yes, they exist, barely) still owns the Realistic trademark as of last I heard, but hasn’t used it since 2017, when they once again retired it after a short period of applying it to some Bluetooth stuff. But there’s room for plenty of truly-dead brand resurrection and misapplication, as demonstrated too much by the folks pasting the Hell+Bowell name on crap. How about Montgomery-Ward digital video projectors or TWA travel accessories and luggage, just as a couple of suggestions.
/showme a person wearing glasses as well as the Maxell OWS Pro Open-Ear True Wireless Earhooks and how uncomfortable that is to have two things wrapped around your ear.
I always have an issue keeping earbuds in place so I’ve always preferred classic over the ear headphones. Today’s product sounds like a hybrid of sorts so I’m going to hold off until I see more feedback from members in case Meh decides to sell them again (unless they sell out of course).

Wireless fish hooks you say?
Oh. No you don’t say.
These certainly look like ass, and I bet they sound like ass too.
I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing these.
@robson you definitely won’t be able to hear from them if you’re dead.
/8ball Do I need yet another pair of earbuds to add to my collection, even though these are earhooks?
Yes definitely
No control functions seem to be addressed; are they capable of, pausing a stream so a conversation can be conducted?
@rjquillin It’s covered in the video. You can play, pause, next/previous track, adjust volume, accept/decline calls
A very stylish case! Unique. I like it.

I’ve always wanted headphones from the same people who made my VHS tapes 40 years ago. Thanks!
@dvermilion The brand appears on button batteries now, too. (But not for the US market, although they turn up on eBay and such.)
Come on, Amazon has clear for $20.50.
Slightly better here even with shipping, but I might rather have clear if I’m advertising VHS tapes on my ears.
/giphy thank you

@stinks You’re advertising batteries and audio cassette tapes now. VHS is dead, HD killed the video tape.
@werehatrack Obviously not a connoisseur de film.

/s… sorta.
@stinks “clear” only applies to the case, no tint. Earhooks are just white.
Now, if the earhooks themselves were clear I’d be tempted. I’m a sucker for seeing the guts of the electronics.
/8ball Do I need yet another pair of earbuds to add to my collection, even though these are earhooks?
Signs point to yes
Say it
@JohnQ118 OK, are they stored in WATER in that stylish creepy case? it sure looks like it. I’ma in just to find out. (and what the Magic 8-ball said)

/8ball are you rigged to say yes when we ask you if we should buy this?
It is certain
@Wireball_
/eightball Would it be best if I don’t buy these?
Yes
@Wireball_ Haha, I tricked it.
I dislike earbuds that have to be shoved into the ear so I’m down for these.

@mediocrebot Ooooooooh, floaty. Maglev?
… wish I had that lawn … not really.
So is Maxell still actually a company, or is a matter of someone owns the IP rights and just sells the name to whomever?
/showme a super radical Maxell cassette named whomever

@haydesigner @mediocrebot I LOVE THAT BAND! THEY ARE SO meh.

@mediocrebot You got it! … I think.
@haydesigner Not only are they still their own company they also bought Hitachi in 2013.

@haydesigner @yakkoTDI They just bought a small part of Hitachi. I don’t think they wanted to make mining excavators and such.
We saw Verbatim trackers two weeks ago and now have Maxwell buds. Will we see Sanyo or Realistic Bluetooth speakers next? Please!!

Is this product legitimate?? and how about the quality of sound?
