Meh Exchange 2026, THE REVEAL!!
25Am I first? Omg! This is so exciting! There’s so many people I want to thank!
Sorry, since it’s awards season, that seemed like an appropriate lead in.
Actually, the person I do need to thank is @kittykat9180 who was so kind to send me chocolate! And not just any other chocolate but Ethel M Chocolate! Eight bars in total… Brownie batter x 2, pecan caramel x 2, lemon satin, kona espresso, gingerbread and peppermint.
Bonus: packing paper for ladybird to tear up. ![]()
Ethel M Chocolates holds special memories for me. Back when I used to compete in a billiards league, the national tournaments were held in the late great Riviera Hotel and casino in Las Vegas. Also home of Ethel M. There was an Ethel M shop near the tournament area and I would frequently celebrate my wins or commiserate my losses in the tournament with a bit of chocolate.
Thank you for letting me reminisce ![]()

@ironcheftoni
I have placed several orders from them since then.
I am so glad you’re excited for your gift. How cool that you have a fond history with Ethel M.
I discovered Ethel M last February when I was in Vegas for the RnR Half. It was love at first bite.
Enjoy!!
@ironcheftoni well that’s a whole bunch of fabulous! Well done @kittykat9180!
@ironcheftoni @kittykat9180 sadly I don’t have a reliable source for Ethel M chocolates, I would guess that is due to the fact I am on the East Coast. So I fall back on Lindt. I also Remember, when that did not have a reliable US source.
@ironcheftoni @mycya4me
You can order online (warning: Ethel M is not inexpensive). I didn’t place any ordered in the summer though. Even though they included ice packs when it’s warm, having chocolate shipped through the desert just seems wrong
@ironcheftoni
You learn so much about a person during these. Not only is @ironcheftoni really crafty but a tournament pool player, really cool. Kittykat must have done some real digging to find out she likes that kind of chocolate (unless it was in her wishlist) bc I read meh a lot and before today I don’t remember her mention that.
@ironcheftoni @kittykat9180 I had heard that you can mail order them, I agree trying to order Chocolates during the warmer months. That is totally Wack-A-Doddle.
I also as I said fell in love with Lindt Truffles, Yes I have a bag on my counter. Sadly they are NOT as good as the True Swiss version. They had to tweak the recipe for the US market, Best of all Not much!
If you are NOT carful they will melt in your hand!
@ironcheftoni @Star2236
With a name like iron chef, I figured I couldn’t go wrong with something related to food.
And since I love Ethel M so much I wanted to share the love.
The Ethel M history with the tournaments in Vegas was a happy coincidence.
@ironcheftoni DOH!! I have looked at this thread every time I see there is an update and I just noticed the legs and reflection of the Cat Overlord.
@yakkoTDI yes. Ladybird had to be in the middle of everything. She even made a contribution to the package being sent to my secret mehitzen this week.
Outstanding and way to be quick on the draw!
@kykazaa I’ve never been much for procrastination. Except when it was my turn to wash dishes as a kid.
@kittykat9180 @kykazaa
Hahaha - my kid procrastinated for close to a week and so we were out of clean dishes (I put aside a set for me). I made spaghetti for dinner that night with plenty of sauce mixed in. She came to the table and asked how she was supposed to eat dinner. I told her she could put her food on the table or floor and eat it like a dog or with her fingers. She stomped off to the kitchen and washed herself a set of dishes. Never put off the dishes quite that long again.

@Kidsandliz @kittykat9180 @kykazaa That’s one super power that Moms have that kids don’t realize they have. How to get kids to do something without repeatedly TELLING them to do something.
@kittykat9180 I often put off procrastinating.
@ItalianScallion @kittykat9180 I am sure then that procrastination then is one of your best skills since you practice it a lot. Right?
@Kidsandliz @kittykat9180 You would think so, but I tend to procrastinate on practicing.
@ItalianScallion @kittykat9180
Wow that is as fast. I uhhh, gotta to run some errands.
My husband and I have been to Vegas many a time for the billiards tourny, a few times his team won their way there and others we went for him to play in the mini tournaments. We always had/have fun going, even if I haven’t gone much since our kids were born. Fun memories here too.
@cbilyak happy to know another veteran of APA
@cbilyak Mrs. H. & I went to Vegas for our honeymoon. It was within spitting distance of 115 every day we were there (I mean, it was August in the desert afterall). We visited Ethel M’s & everything we sampled was great. We purchased a few items & by the time we got back to the car…literally a couple minutes…we had a solid bunch of goo. ***Brought it back to the hotel room & put it in our refrigerator, and though we didn’t have separate pieces any longer, it still tasted great!
Thank you @kykazaa. This arrived today, or actually yesterday morning. Started writing when the package arrived and still writing next day in the wee hours of the morning.
“Faster than speeding bullet. More powerful than a locomotive…”. It’s not Superman. It’s @kykazaa getting their package out before the ink dries on @Star2236 ‘s name draw list.
Then there’s the teaser. First, @kykazaa shows the inside of a huge 34” gaming monitor box that will carry all these goodies. Next, the final package with labels and stickers for this huge 37 pound beauty. Lastly, one clue. “it’s going to Texas.” @cerridwyn ‘s disappointment. “gracious. I only know it’s not me cuz I don’t live in Texas”. But @cerridwyn was my gifter last year and they did not disappoint.
@Star2236, doing another fantastic job this year, said draw restrictions meant not drawing the same person from previous meh exchanges. @kykazaa was my giftee last year. What were the chances of @kykazaa being my GIFTER this year? So I look out my porch today and package matches the picture @kykazaa posted!
. I guess draw restrictions don’t forbid the giftee from becoming the GIFTER. So here we come full circle. My only regret as a gifter to @kykazaa as giftee last year, was not including something from Buc-ee’s.
So let’s get started. I’m not posting everything because there is so much that I only opened one of eleven boxes. I’ll post the remainder later. This must have been packed by an IT person. Every space is filled with no packing material. I almost need a crowbar to get each box out. Every box has its own specially printed label. And there is a two page summary of each box’s contents. It must have taken days, no weeks to put this puppy together.
McDonald’s Part 1
15 Teenie Beanie Babies from McDonald’s Happy Meals.

circa 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998
@rcwbbb love this so stinking hard!!!
@rcwbbb
OMG I’m dying to see what else is in that fantastic box!
I can tell already, this is going to be a real page turner!
@rcwbbb looks like you win the exchange jackpot. And you have opened only one box so far. Great job @kykaza!
@rcwbbb hope you enjoy it! I read some of the things you missed out on and I got your wish list before you updated it, so some things might be related to last years list. It also really helps I am from Ohio. And sorry, I sent some things back…lol, couldn’t resist as that is part of my style of regifting (don’t worry, it’s only 1 of the boxes)
@rcwbbb
I can’t wait to see the rest. Totally awesome box on @kykazaa part!
I think you just made everyone jealous
HIKING! VIKINGS! STRIKE KING [BRAND FISHING LURES]! AWESOME!
@kykazaa Thanks much for the fantastic meh exchange package. I know everyone is envious of me as the recipient but the spotlight should be on you for the meticulous packaging and the teaser. When you gave the shipment to Texas as a clue, I thought, no way am I going to be the recipient. I just send you yours last year.
Yes, I did it incorrectly. I thought my last year’s draw was the one sending me. So I researched Ohio to create my wish list. It was my first year. Then I realized that’s stupid, it’s my giftee. Why would @Star2236, meh exchange Extraordinaire, reveal anything about the gifter? It’s supposed to be anonymous. And when I got my actual package, it was from another state.
I updated this year’s wishlist when names were drawn to not include any state specific stuff since I didn’t know where the package was coming from. So ironically, you got last year’s right list.
I got your package early enough yesterday and because you shipped it so fast, I was hoping to be the first to post. In fact, I checked the board and no one had posted. But I had to take pictures, sort through the goodies, and write all the twists about this package. I’d open the first box just to post something. The remainder would follow.
But @ironcheftoni beat me. It was hard to focus thinking of all those yummy
chocolates.
I have yet to open everything but I’m wondering what I’m going to get regifted back. Irk plushie maybe? @kykazaa did say they already had one and may regift it back in this year’s meh exchange.
@rcwbbb I’m glad we get to see the library again
@kykazaa Yes. And it’s the exact same table.
@kykazaa @rcwbbb Do the librarians show any curiosity about the packages you open & photograph there?
@Kyeh @kykazaa @rcwbbb and we want to see more
@Kyeh @kykazaa You have a sharp eye for noticing it’s the same place I used last year. The table is on the second floor and the elevator is right across from the library director’s office. She’s not always in so sneaking by her is hit or miss.
This time she saw me and raised an eyebrow. I usually go an hour before closing and check out the area before I make a return trip with the box. I told her I was borrowing a table and that no one was upstairs.
I think I scored brownie points with the library because I donated a puzzle table. The community puzzle is in a prominent place and originally was just laid out on a table. Problem was 1. pieces would always be falling on the floor and 2. completed puzzle would be immediately broken down because there was no room for a completed puzzle and a newly started one on the same table. The puzzle table kept the pieces in one place because it had sides. And it could be confined to one area and leave room for the finished puzzle.
When I do weird stuff like bring in a 34” monitor box and use a table to take pictures, they cut me a little slack.
@kykazaa @rcwbbb Cool! And I used to work in a library, and usually they’re happy to have people using the space in a positive way, whatever that is.
Wow! This is awes0me!
Nice job @kittykat9180 and @kykazaa. Well played. Well played indeed
@capnjb Yes. Now the bar has just been reset very high. And as a side note to those who feel like they can’t top or even equal that - don’t worry. @kykazaa went well above and beyond. The rules are for far less than that.
@capnjb @Kidsandliz @kykazaa Totally agree. Mine last year for @kykazaa was similar in variety but this year’s blew my mind.
. Now that I’ve posted, I can start on my package, bearing in mind the rules.
I totally missed this… I am sad
@mikibell Aw, bummer.
Maybe someone would be willing to do a private gift exchange with you? I’ve done that before on here.
@mikibell I can send you some coffee
Let me know if you have a grinder. Whisper me your address and you’ll get it when you get it
edit - It’s back below freezing here so tough to roast. But I can send you some coffee… maybe a juice box
@mikibell @Pony Raises my hand! I’ll do it! But it will be a one way transaction. She has already sent me a one of one amazing sweatshirt. I probably have enough nonsense laying to around to do one more small box
@mikibell @Pony
But then you’re denying the giftee of giving.
@mikibell @Pony @therealjrn I’m ok with that
edit - I like to give. Receiving is weird for me.
@capnjb @mikibell @therealjrn I find giving more fun than receiving too, seems to be a theme around here.
@mikibell I owe you something anyway since you went above and beyond a few years ago during an exchange. Actually, I’m still using the lipbalm holder attached to my purse
@ironcheftoni @mikibell somebody could whisper everybody in the thread his address and we could all ship him a postcard or something. And then he has to post copies of them all. But no more than one a day so we can entertain us for however many days that is
@Cerridwyn @ironcheftoni @mikibell ^^^^ this one!!!
@Cerridwyn @ironcheftoni @mikibell
Would that be called a gift-drop or card-drop, something like a inedible pasta drop?

@Cerridwyn @ironcheftoni @mikibell Yes!
@Cerridwyn @ironcheftoni @mossygreen @therealjrn @pony @capnjb
You all are so sweet, but it wasn’t a plea to be gifted. I just enjoy making things for other people and have soooo much crap to get rid of.
Had a crazy busy year, and I saw the impact of not downsizing before you leave the planet. I am trying to throw things out so my kids don’t have to weed through everything some day in the far far future (fingers crossed)
Capnjb, I believe you are the one who gave me the mug and it makes me smile every time …
@capnjb @mikibell
the meh mug?
@capnjb @chienfou the meh mug was from barney and thumperchick, et. al … which I have on my desk. The one I meant was the one with the poem on it.
which, I did get the wrong person, it was you not capnjb!!
@chienfou @mikibell Heh… I give out coffee… not coffee mugs
@capnjb @mikibell
To the tune of My favorite things?
@capnjb @mikibell
Memories of exchanges past …
@capnjb @chienfou yes!! Makes me smile…
@Cerridwyn @ironcheftoni @Lynnerizer 300 lbs of cards??? That is a lot of postage!!
@ironcheftoni @Lynnerizer @mikibell would it all fit in one of those USPS boxes
@capnjb @mikibell
I’m so glad you still have that mug. That was actually a fun project to come up with the words to. I’m surprised at how well the ones that I’ve made myself held up even after years in the dishwasher. A few have faded some but most still look really good. Glad you’re enjoying it.
@capnjb @chienfou
@mikibell
I could have swore I tagged you in a message to remind you of the exchange.
@Star2236 you may have… i had the flu and then bronchitis, so I have been looking at the insides of my eyelids a lot!!!
@mikibell @Star2236
I suspect that the general population will have you covered mikibell…
@mikibell @Star2236 Hope you are feeling better. My sister freaking loved that hoodie
I probably told you already but with my crazy ADHD I’ll likely end up telling you 32 more times
Get well soon
@capnjb doesn’t matter if you did already, I am happy she loved it
Only a lingering cough now… counting it as close enough to feeling better!
@mikibell I hope you are back to 100% soon
@mikibell
I had both December into last month and it’s still going around really bad here. Warm weather can’t come fast enough.
@mikibell @Star2236
Well, I’ve died twice with pneumonia in both lungs. Yeah, that’s a flex to show you just how stubborn I am

@capnjb @Star2236 I don’t want to try that… ever… after 25 years of second hand smoking, my lungs are just a tad weak.
I cant get the flu vaccine because I am one of those 1%ers who are allergic to it. Went to a marketing kick off meeting and brought the flu home with me… sigh… last time I traveled I got the chickenpox… not shingles FREAKIN CHICKENPOX!! (Had the vaccine 3 times)
@capnjb @mikibell
That’s crazy
Just finished painting some bits. Will be packing it up this weekend and getting it to the post office!
@sillyheathen @rcwbbb this is a good hint on some of the regifted items in RCWBBBs gift…
Reveal for @kykazaa ‘s Season of Meh (couldn’t figure out how to add the TM) continued. I’m glad you were cleaning house and very little came out of pocket, except for shipping. If you were tracking this all down, I probably wouldn’t get this until next year’sSuper Bowl. Shoutout out to the Hawks.

This has not been done before, but I’m doing a reverse meh exchange. The GIFTEE is sending the GIFTER something. This is a wish from your last year’s reveal that wasn’t on your official wishlist. Also throwing in one item to regift back to you. So much to choose from.
@rcwbbb Also to add the TM… just hold alt and press 0153
™
@rcwbbb You could fill the water balloons with snow, sleet or icicles with the sharp tip broken off. now and set them aside. Then wallah - premade water balloons you can use the rest of the year.
@rcwbbb love it! hope this made your day! I cant wait to see what the regift is!
@kykazaa It won’t be the IRK plushie. It has done too much traveling for the year.
@capnjb Thank you for the tip. I’ll do this properly.
Thank you @kykazaa for:
The Season of Meh™
@kykazaa Reverse meh exchange went out today.
@kykazaa This didn’t just make my day, it made several days. I had to open a box, pause, savor the fun, and eventually move on to another box.
@rcwbbb
@kykazaa
Where did you get all the McDonald’s toys? I got some for my recipient but there’s a thrift store that sells them down the street. They only have a couple more bins left, but it’s not a common thing to find anymore so I was just wondering? they had some of the exact ones you found. It just made me laugh.
@rcwbbb got my reverse Meh today…will post shortly
@kykazaa Well that’s just duckie. My reverse meh exchange doesn’t hold a candle to what others sent for their normal meh exchange. And then there were bonus boxes too.
That’s like winning the lottery
What a wonderful box. That must have been fun to unpack. My match gets hers today. It’s not as grand as yours, but there is a whole lot of random
So @kykazaa that ball was out of the park! Well done!
Bravo @kykazaa I did my best but don’t think anyone can top that box.

Mine is being dropped off to UPS today. Thank the delivery gods that they are working today unlike those slackers at the post office. So I won’t give away who my giftee is, I’ll just say that it’s being delivered to one of the original 13 colonies.
/giphy bravo
@ironcheftoni So you’re telling me there’s a chance???
@ironcheftoni OOOH!!! I live in one of the 13 original colonies
not far from from where it all started (depending on what you consider the starting point)
Mine is out for delivery
Yay!
Got my box today. Posting this from the lappy and will go back to phone and add pics shortly, but…
Yes, it’s raining, and we have parcel lockers, so I drove over because, well, box and rain. The Amazon driver was there (they put in the lockers, UPS and FedEx can use them) and had a total of 88 packages. When he got to where he could stop he did and I got mine out of there. It was a bit damp, and a bit more taking it to my car.
Got home and opened it and had to giggle a bit. More later as a reply here and comments from phone are usually voice to text, not keyboard, so forgive me @capnjb if I get something wrong.
And I didn’t take pics of the was it Maryland air?
@Cerridwyn
Just the box, nothing fancy
@Cerridwyn
First thing you see when you open the box was a note.
So I divided taking pictures into edible and not edible except for thetan irk bag. And well that was some of my favorite Penzeys seasoning. I only took separate pictures of the two most awesome parts of the food. The coffee and the Guinness macaroni and cheese. Lots of miscellaneous little stuff, the ubiquitous Ramen. Oh and kind bars have to have kind bars right
1:
2:
/

LEGOS! EGGOS! STRATEGO! AWESOME!
Edited because for whatever reason it only posted one of the three pictures the first time? The third time it posted a double of the Guinness macaroni and cheese. It can say
@Cerridwyn okay and the next one is the non-edible stuff including candles and guitar picks at my most favorite part of this one is the 3D printed desk top name plate. It’s in my favorite color and right now it’s sitting on top of my backup coffee grinder which is just a mediocre boudin one but it’s the same color of red
@Cerridwyn thank you thank you again and the coffee smells badass
@Cerridwyn So the water bottle looks like it has fallen down a mountain. I got it in an IRK and it’s never been used but seems to be a fancy one
My daughter plays softball so I have like 30 already
It may not be pretty, but she’ll fly true
And now I realize I forgot to add something… I’ll add it to the box the next time your number gets called in the Secret-Not-So-Secret coffee club
Hope you had fun
edit - I also forgot what year it was. Just pretend that 2025 is really 2026
@Cerridwyn I love the addition of the charm sucker. Is that a small bottle of mustard?
@kittykat9180 yes it is
@Cerridwyn @kittykat9180 I have too many things in my kitchen
That chardonnay vinegar is pretty tasty too
I’m working though a bottle of hot vinegar right now. It’s amazing on sushi rice
Hope you had fun unpacking all the things
And I was unhappy with the 3D print but I didn’t have time to print another. You get what you get
@capnjb and I have saved your address this time, be afraid, be very afraid
@capnjb Such a perfectionist. Nameplate looks great. Taking orders?
@rcwbbb The real question is, do you drink coffee
@capnjb Sorry not a coffee drinker.
@rcwbbb
Same. It always seems that I’m alone in the non-coffee drinking category.
@kittykat9180 @rcwbbb @capnjb
@capnjb @Cerridwyn @rcwbbb
@capnjb @Cerridwyn @kittykat9180
As the other non-coffee drinker in this thread, orange juice for you, green tea for me.
@capnjb @Cerridwyn @rcwbbb
I’m actually a tea drinker (black or herbal) but I thought tea would be too easily confused with coffee.
@capnjb @Cerridwyn @kittykat9180 @rcwbbb

Don’t feel alone!
I know we have visited this discussion (either as a full-on topic or tangentially) in other threads. Seems that there are a LOT of non-coffee-drinkers in this group. You are in good company
@Cerridwyn @chienfou @kittykat9180 @rcwbbb
But I have raw beans to roast! I wish I didn’t just shave because I’d be stroking my beard with a mischievous look in my eyes
I want to want to really think Cerridwyn for ALL my Goddies. I can tell ya most will NOT be Re-Gifted!

@mycya4me @cerridwyn does not disappoint. She was my mystery elfster last year and it started out with a carton used for toilet paper and meh written in blue tape on the side.
@mycya4me is that filter was really just packing material. It fit perfectly in that packed spot to pack. I hope you have a sweet tooth.
@Cerridwyn Yep, My dentist will also thank you also! I also found out (the hard way) that you just can’t just drink water (I have well water w/ a filter. You need the Electrolyte mix/ Gatorade/ Pedolite for adults to keep you hydrated, plus maintain you sugar level too! NOT Kool! I really like it all! Only a few things will be Regifted. BTW my draw got my last Trackr. hehehe
BTW the black eagle in the overall pic was one that my Dad got from the Union IUOE #147 for being a faithful member for 65 years. The thing in front of it is a Filter you sent.
@mycya4me oh that roar stuff was in of one of my IRKs
It’s naaaaaasty.
@mycya4me another union kid here. I have my dad’s 50 year bricklayers union plaque. He was especially proud of that as my grandfather missed getting his 50 year card by just a few years
@Aetherwizard I have already tried that ROAR, I guess you have not had Adult Pedialyte? the Original that is what is truly nasty, BUT it is an oral electrolyte solution manufactured by Abbott Labs… It does a better job than GatorAide, that is until they did started flavoring it!
@ironcheftoni They told my Dad that NOT many get the 65 year eagle. (Yes Dad was quite proud of it) BTW my did lived in a Farm, left school after the 9th grade, the Marines taught him his life’s career Heavy Equipment Operator/ Crane Operator.
He got to work on some kool projects. The Space Center in Fla (original construction), Washington Dulles International Airport & a lot of smaller ones, We finally settle in the Mid Atlantic area.
@mycya4me
I can restock you. No problem. Just send me your address. You won’t even have to pay for shipping.
@Kidsandliz @mycya4me
What’s a Trackr?
@mycya4me Yeah, it’s kinda neat to point at things and say, “My daddy built that!”.

In the '80s, Dad worked for a construction company in Dallas. He worked on the Dallas County Jail, Dallas Museum of Art, and several other buildings I can’t remember. In the 90s, I was in Dallas for a Comic book convention. Dad always asked me to call him when I got there safely from road trips. “Dad, the hotel is beautiful. There is a huge mosaic in the lobby”
“yeah, that was a bear to put together”
Another fun Dad story… While walking back from dinner after my mom had surgery at Baylor Hospital downtown. “I worked on that wall. Only on the job 2 days. Got pissed off at a laborer and almost pulled a gun on him. Don’t know where you get that hot temper of yours.”
Well, Dad… I certainly know where I get my dry sense of humor!
@ironcheftoni Yep I only mentioned Big Projects that we moved to. after my sister came along, the family remained stationary, Dad traveled around the state doing jobs, finally just doing ones that he could be home at nite, Yes he worked on many large projects a a campus downtown. Power plants, Banks, Theme parks ect. He then was able to retire from that & he helped Mom in her career she was a Pilot car for the Huge/ Wide/ Tall loads that go through the Hiways. You have see them. Lites on the roof. a lot of times blocking a lane due to the fact the load was wider than one lane.
@Kidsandliz @kittykat9180 well it was something like a the Apple tracker that failed. it was put into ALL IRKs, most of the time several. It is a typical IRK!
@kittykat9180 @mycya4me What’s a trackr? What’s your address and you can find out first hand.
@Kidsandliz It seems that @kittykat9180 wants some! I am quite happy to say goodbye! My exchange person said they would like to have some regifted IRK items! So I honored their wish! they would get my package today via UPS!
@Kidsandliz @kittykat9180 I think that everyone that still has some Trackr’s should send @kittykat9180 some! hehehe
@kittykat9180 @mycya4me Several would be several BOXES in multiple IRKs in my case.
@kittykat9180 @mycya4me
BEST IDEA EVER!!! What is your address kittykat9180?
@Kidsandliz @kittykat9180 @mycya4me I think you even have a choice of colors. Why settle for white, when you can have blue.
@Kidsandliz @mycya4me @rcwbbb
I think I’m doing okay without any.
@kittykat9180
smart choice!
@kittykat9180 @mycya4me @rcwbbb you don’t know what you’re missing with no trackrs in your life
@Kidsandliz @kittykat9180 @mycya4me @rcwbbb or pink!
@Kidsandliz @mycya4me @rcwbbb
, You know, they say ignorance is bliss.
Let me be blissfully ignorant.
@Kidsandliz @kittykat9180 @rcwbbb Why @kittykat9180 you stated that you did NOT know what they were, Plus you have Many trying to do a Good deed I send you a few so you cal also experience the glory of what they are!
@chienfou @kittykat9180 NOPE everyone should have at least 1 Trackr!
@mycya4me
I don’t think that’s correct.
@kittykat9180 But expressed such interest in them, You need several of them! hehehe, I was glad I got rid of my last one!
@kittykat9180 @mycya4me
I kinda want a few to make into some kind of Xmas ornament. Not something Id do right away because I just had my arm broken and put back together on Monday, but it’s something I’ve been thinking about doing for a year or two so I can laugh at every time I look at the tree.
@mycya4me
What a great box some of those cluster packs look very good
@Star2236 Oh my gosh. Sorry you broke your arm!!! I hope it heals so it is good as new.
@kittykat9180 @Star2236 Well I do have a 3d printer, BUT not one that does 2-6 colors! (those are kinda $$$ & waste a lot of filament) I can do Rainbow (but unless the item is large/ tall it will not get the rainbow effect) There is Dual/ By color that is great. But remember that filament (2.2 lbs/ 1k cost between $18-30 US per spool) then You have to have the design!
@Kidsandliz @kittykat9180 @mycya4me I’ve got a box of 50 or so. I harvest the batteries from them for little toys I give to my friend’s kids. They are good enough to power an LED in a 3D printed wand, or make beeps/boops in a fidget toy.
Mine is shipping out today or tomorrow depending on the weather. We’re actually slated to get snow! But I have to finish putting up the last bit of the wall in the studio and insulate the stairwell before I can leave the house. So keep your fingers crossed!
@sillyheathen Make it tomorrow, or even the day after so I wont be the last! (Don’t worry mystery person, it is coming together!)
The IRK spa stuff will be used in my wife’s exchanges. I will never have dark puffy eyes, ever!
The scaler toy thing is new to me, and will be a fun game to hide around the house because adults have to have adventure.
Very much appreciated!
@KNmeh7
You shall be looking radiant after your next self-care spa day.
@KNmeh7 Glad you enjoyed it and sorry there wasn’t more in the box. Those Pecans are farm fresh and local so once opened eat them or keep them in a sealed container!!
@readnj No need to apologize! I finally opened up those delicious nuts. They are fantastic. Besides the mass produced pecans, I have only ever had small-batch from Louisiana and these have them beat. Thank you!
So, my dog started barking this afternoon and I looked out the window and saw the mailman dropping of an Amazon box. I often have wild bouts of primenesia, but I was pretty sure I hadn’t ordered anything in the past few days, so I was puzzled. I went out to the front stoop and picked up the package (I’m my own porch pirate!)
I immediately smiled when I saw the name on the box. It was from my favorite ER nurse, @chienfou
I think this is the third box he has sent in the last year.
He loves to grow amazing things and turning those amazing things into even more incredible things
I must say this was well timed because I just finished the amazing pepper jelly he sent me earlier.
The box smelled wonderful because it had a satchel of ‘Phil’s Special Chipotle Powder’ (I think he is trying to get me high)
It also had a bottle of Magical smoked oil, which I can’t wait to try. Also, a jar of bourbon and peach jam which sounds amazing. My wife asked me if it was the type of jam you spread on toast. I said I have no idea! I got it from a crazy nurse I met on the internet
We’ll be opening it when the red snapper is done cooking.
There was also Meh mug. I’ve never had Meh merch before. But on the back of the mug there was an upside-down goat with my Meh name and the month I got to be a goat.
The confusing thing is there was a note in the box that said:
So I’m not sure if I was his draw or if is just being awes0me. Or maybe subtly asking for more coffee
Well… anyway you slice it… Thanks Phil.
@capnjb wow! Special indeed!
@capnjb That’s awe some!
@capnjb That mug is amehzing. I have envy.
@capnjb @therealjrn didn’t you mean awesome?!? Cue the bot…
PANS! GLANDS! CRAYONS! AWESOME!
@capnjb
Hey Cap’n, glad you enjoyed the ‘bonus’ package. And NO, I am NOT your secret santa.
Enjoy the goodies. My giftee has dietary constraints so I felt I needed to find SOMEONE to send food to!
@capnjb @chienfou
What’s the magical smoked oil?
@chienfou @Star2236
I haven’t opened that yet, but I can only guess that it’s Magical Smoked Oil
@capnjb @Star2236
Pacan smoked olive oil…
@chienfou @Star2236 Pecan or Pacman?
@capnjb @Star2236
That’s what I get forposting while hurrying to get the bed last night. Pecan… or locally pe-kahn
@capnjb @Star2236
And then again this AM rushing to the airport!
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Mine is finally sealed up, labeled and waiting for UPS to pick it up tomorrow. Um, I guess I mean later today since it’s 3:15 AM… yikes.
@Pony
(Whoops… sent this as a whisper accidently)
I feel your pain.
I need to finish packing mine up in the next day or two since we’ll be going out of town next week. Still finalizing the more regrettable parts
UPS has picked up the 12 lbs of whatever. Sorry not sorry in advance to my recipient!
Many thanks to @mycya4me for my package!!

Obligatory bag
Phone charger/flashlight/lighter
RatFink
Movies - of which I have seen neither yet
TrackR pixel
Numerous 3D printer items, of which, the dragon is amazing and my absolute favorite!!!
THANK YOU!!
@cbilyak Oh! Those are pretty good movies! I just
the lizard dragon!
@therealjrn my aunt loves dragons too, I may let her foster mine when I am travelling, so really about 1 week a month
@cbilyak A good dragon foster mom is very specialized and hard to find!
@cbilyak The Dragon is amazing! I bought a rainbow one at a craft fair last year. I had it on my fireplace mantel but when I went out of town the demon cat knocked it off and broke it.
I’m trying to figure out how to glue it back together.
@cbilyak @ironcheftoni FYI I do print them to sell! $10 each/ Yes I have done Rainbow dragons, But the only two I had on hand was the Red one & a Crystal one. that has Been a Fav.
@cbilyak I am glad you liked all the Goodies, You asked for some IRK stuff (yep the TracR). So you got some. Hope the Rat Fink behaves itself! (look it up if anyone to know more) I am glad to get rid of my last TracR. I hear Kitty Kat would like some! hehehe
@cbilyak I haven’t seen ratfink stuff in a long time.
Great box.
@cbilyak @kittykat9180
I had to look up what ratfink was
@kittykat9180 @Star2236 full disclosure, I did too.
@cbilyak @Star2236
Old school stuff. I was introduced to his stuff as a teenager, about 100 years ago. Hahah
Mine is en route to a poor unfortunate soul!

@sillyheathen

@sillyheathen Wow!
Nice artwork. And a big box. Can’t wait for the reveal.
@rcwbbb it’s mostly unfiltered Oregonian air.

stay tuned to see what’s in the box!
@sillyheathen I really love those stickers you make! Especially the “FRA GI LE” one.
@sillyheathen
Nice artwork on the box
The one I sent (delivered tomorrow if the tracking Gods are correct) is okay, but after seeing some of these reveals, I will definitely need to up my game next round. Maybe I will even start procuring some items now for when the time comes. Great job all!!
@cbilyak ditto. This is my first time participating so mine might be a little underwhelming. Lessons learned for next year
@cbilyak @hugacrv
While many of us are looking at the jaw-dropping over achievers, I think the spirit of the box is as important as the size/quantity.
@chienfou @hugacrv in some of the past exchanges I gifted very well. This year life got in the way for the start of 2026 and time/money/mental availability was a barrier. We are on the upswing as of this week so next time I will up my game.
@cbilyak @chienfou @hugacrv
That’s me all over, all the time.
This is such a pleasant idea and tradition though. I’ll have to endeavor to persevere and join the fun next year.
@cbilyak @chienfou @hugacrv quality over quantity always with me.
@cbilyak @chienfou @hugacrv
As one of those lucky previous recipients I can absolutely vouch for this!
@cbilyak
I feel the same.
This was my first participation in the meh exchange and my gift left me feeling inadequate and like I disappointed my giftee (even though Toni seemed happy with it). I decided to send a second package with a few goodies.
@cbilyak @kittykat9180 thank you so much! The chocolate was more than enough but i look forward to see what’s arriving tomorrow.
@ironcheftoni
I am glad you appreciated the Ethel M, I love their chocolate and was happy to spread the love.
I hope you enjoy what arrives tomorrow.
@cbilyak @kittykat9180 It doesn’t matter what is sent. Or likewise received. I am a giver. Receiving is awkward for me. I’ve died twice. So, I like putting a smile on someone’s face. This isn’t about what’s in the box. It’s about having fun with the exchange. I could get two bricks and I’d write two paragraphs about how I’d use them to help build my garden. This is about a sense of community on a really weird website.
Don’t worry about what you sent. That’s not important. You participated. You joined in the fun. That’s all that matters
I hate saying this out loud, but size doesn’t matter. Smiles do
You sent a smile Kittykat. That’s what is important
Go smile for yourself. The exchange has always been about community. Never about scoreboard.
@cbilyak @chienfou @hugacrv
It’s very important to note, it’s all about quality and the rules. Many people go above and beyond bc they like to but you can’t get mad for people sticking with the rules and sending quality.
If anybody feels they got a crap box, they can always reach out to me and I’ll look at each case individually before deciding what action to take.
OK, just a few things.
a) Part one of my gift is now safely ensconced in the local post office. ETA = Monday west of the Mississippi.
b) Part two is ordered and, once manufactured, will be drop shipped directly to said giftee. Hope they don’t fuck it up (the company sending it, NOT the giftee!)
c) I will be out of town from 2/20 to 3/1 so will NOT be able to post reveal pics until after that date. I have reached out to my gifter to let them know that if anything needs to be chilled etc my kittysitter will handle that.
Hey, someone has to be last, right??
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Whelp, mine just arrived from @ironcheftoni - she had commented that her package was going to an original colony and I replied not knowing that I would be the recipient
As you can see, it’s quite the haul! Some MEH stuff that I recognize and some purchased for the gifting. I can’t wait to try the coffee and the other edible treats. Penzey’s spices are always great so I’m eager to try these out.
Central VA doesn’t have a Buc-ee’s yet but I had my first experience last summer on a road-trip to Memphis (my hometown). The Buc-ee’s just before Knoxville was almost the exact halfway point and the perfect spot to fill up the car and mah-belly! It was so overwhelming that I didn’t buy any swag.
Cooking stuff will certainly be put to use. In fact, the thermometer (already have two) and car trash container (I rarely allow much trash to accumulate) are the only things that are likely to get regifted.
I’m not sure if I’m sad or glad that she couldn’t find the Trackr that was meant to be included.
@hugacrv Wowza!!! What a great box! What’s the cute fuzzy little kitty-ish thing?
@hugacrv
I’ve had limited experience with buc-ee’s. How are the beaver nuggets?
@hugacrv @Kyeh a kitchen scrubbie. Practically indestructible. You can clean it in the dishwasher
@hugacrv glad you like everything! I thought it was funny that you replied. Sorry to get your hopes up @capnjb
@hugacrv
@ironcheftoni Did you make it?
@hugacrv @ironcheftoni
I was actually okay until I saw all the Buc-ee’s stuff
That’s like a bucket list item for me
I guess I’ll have to play again next year
@hugacrv @Kyeh no, there is a guy at the state fair selling them. I usually pick a few up every year to pass off on unsuspecting souls.
@hugacrv @kittykat9180 they have the texture of a puffy cheeto but a sweet coating like caramel popcorn.
@hugacrv @ironcheftoni Oh, fun!
@hugacrv beaver nuggets! This is a fab box! Well done.
@hugacrv I’m so jealous! HUGE Buc’ees fan…great job @ironcheftoni !
@hugacrv @ironcheftoni @kykazaa
They put a Buck-ee’s near the Auburn exit about 45 minutes from here. It’s on my route to Atlanta and has become our go-to stop on the way home for gas when we go to the airport and to visit my SIL. Took my 12 year old French cousin there and she was floored. Living in Paris she’s used to gas stations consisting of a curbside pull out with two pumps.
@chienfou @ironcheftoni @kykazaa Ha! That had to be quite the culture shock …among many others. @sillyheathen And yes, the Beaver Nuggets will not last long
@hugacrv @ironcheftoni @kykazaa @sillyheathen
Def my go-to snack there…
@chienfou @hugacrv @ironcheftoni @kykazaa It IS interesting taking people from other countries to some of the places we have here. A regular grocery store surprised my young cousin when she visited about 40 years ago. She said it felt kind of lonesome to be in such big spaces with far fewer people than there’d be in Japan.
@hugacrv @ironcheftoni @kittykat9180
Omg they’re so good, I wish that was my box lol. Toni did such an awesome job, I forgot to add penzeys to my wishlist
LEGOS! EGGOS! STRATEGO! AWESOME!
My box from @pony arrived this evening. It was a very full box with lots of goodies. Dino was interested, he must’ve smelled all the cats in it.

We’ll start with the meh merch. I am a believer that you can never have too much skin care products. I finally have some bowls worthy of my homemade ice cream. And I’ll be bringing the game on my trip to New Hampshire next month.
Kat themed items: A journal to write about all my unrealized hope and dreams while I cry into my kat pillow. Some slippers to save my feet from the cold tile. And of course, a kat purse.

Last photo, a couple items from my wishlist. Some loose leaf London fog tea
️
and an adorable elephant steeper.
Thank you @pony for the creative and fun gift box.
@kittykat9180 You’re very welcome. I just wish I hadn’t already gotten rid of all my Trackr thingies.
@kittykat9180
Omg for a quick look, that cat purse looks like a real cat lol. Your just missing the book on what to create out of cat hair lol
@Pony I promise you I’m ok without the trackr
@Star2236 I did almost make a new dog once from all the fur after washing and brushing my old shepherd.
@kittykat9180 not even a little surprising! @pony is amazeballs!
@kittykat9180 @sillyheathen Aw, shucks…
@Pony @sillyheathen
It was a lot of fun unpacking everything. Pony did a great job putting everything together.
@kittykat9180
OMG OMG SQEEE
1st, congrats on the cute elephant tea thingie, also pawssibly consider using it to add/ make water, tuna water, chicken broth, broth, lactose free half and half, etc., cat wine, etc., into a catnip infused beverage, by putting catnip in the lelléphant & thus dunking or steeping it into the liquid - or, just a thought, then using the infused liquid into another item, like homemade cat crackers, cookies, treats, foods, patés, frozen treats, ice cubes (like to be put into a hot/ warm/ cold beverage, or atop dry food/ crunchies, or onto a cat drinking bowl or fountain, etc.), smoothies, or for adding to homemade cat essential oil or healing or medicines, or for adding catnip, or catnip & okay lavenders, and then putting it into an airtight container with toys, old toys, new toys, socks, etc., for infusing those items with concentrated catnip/ catnip blends…?
Okay, now,

I don’t remember seeing sale for a cat purse or cat pillow or cat journal or cat purse or cat slippers, or CAT PURSE

I would SO have REMEMBERED seeing that cat purse,
well, i think i would’ve remembered seeing it (

eyes REALLY seriously TWITCHING

)

…
@gnoogie the possibility are endless!
@kittykat9180 Looks like someone will be Catting around!
Hope everyone is enjoying the exchange!!! I know I’ve been a little quite this past week but i just had surgery on my right arm and it’s been a little more painful than expected (and a little more of a major surgery than I thought. The dr made it sound like no big deal but it definitly is). I somehow got in way over my head surgery wise. I spent 2 hours today trying to learn how to tie hair in a ponytail with one arm before I gave up bc nobody was dealing with either curly hair or layers like me.
Anyhow, all boxes must be shipped out by Wednesday the 25th. If this is going to be a problem for you, please reach out to me today/ASAP. Otherwise let’s continue to send boxes, post pics (it’s a requirement for participating) and have fun!
@Star2236 wishing you a faster healing.
@Star2236 Yikes. Wishing you a super speedy recovery!
@Star2236 You doing okay there Star? Hope you heal quickly
And now you have put me on a side quest. I need to find out if I can do my hair in a pony tail with one hand
It’s long… down past my collar bone
I donate it every 3-4 years. It’s getting kind of long
BUT I save so much on haircuts
@Star2236 Hope you’re all mended soon!

@Star2236 This is grumpy Capn, several months ago
It’s a few inches longer now. I forgot to try a one handed ponytail this morning as we are heading on a college visit for kiddo in just a moment. Also, I just got new elastic hair bands that are small and don’t have a lot of wiggle room
I grow it out until it’s down to the middle of my back and then donate it. Rinse, repeat. It takes a few years. This will be my fourth donation. Should by my fifth, but after my time in the hospital it just wasn’t healthy so I had to cut it off and start all over. But damn, I save I lot of money on haircuts
@Star2236 here’s hopes for speedy healing. I do feel your pain. I broke my left wrist years ago and being left handed was quite the handicap. My big issue was bras. Couldn’t hook regular ones and putting on a sports bra felt like a gymnastic routine
@capnjb
That is some hair, looks good.
@Star2236 Oh, you should it when it goes into Fabio mode!
This picture was not to long before my first donation
@Star2236 My box is sitting on a CVS shelf waiting to be on the way!
@Star2236
Oh no, how awful that you didn’t quite understand what you were in for going into surgery. Of course it’s not a big deal for the Dr, HE’S not the one who’s only going to be able to use ONE HAND!
Lol
For me, bathroom duties were horrible to get use to.
Maybe you could try something similar.
Or not… Lol

Seriously though, I’m sorry you’re going through this. I’ve had MANY reconstruction surgeries (as well as a bad break more recently) on my right hand, arm and wrist were I ended up in a cast for several long months and even though I’m left handed it’s still no joke!
Trying to figure out your one handed ponytail reminds me of a a video I saw where this guy is doing his daughter’s hair and he used the vacuum hose to suck it up on top of her head and then put it in a ponytail. She looked to be around 3 and he was obviously a newbie to doing her hair.
Hopefully you’ll be better than new and you heal quickly! Good luck with your recovery!
BTW…
I’m thoroughly enjoying the Meh gift exchange, the boxes have been amazing! Great job in all your efforts Star!
/giphy feel better soon and wishing you a quick recovery!

@capnjb @Star2236
I LOVE that you donate your beautiful hair, capnjb! So many people are in need!
In the 36 years that we’ve been together, at 65 he’s just brought up the idea of cutting it for the first time.
Selfishly, I shot down the ridiculousness in a heartbeat as I love his long hair!
But… IF he REALLY wants to go through with it I’ll definitely follow your lead and suggest donating it!

Also, you have the same hair as my guy, long and blonde!
@Lynnerizer @Star2236
I donate to Locks of Love. They make wigs for children going through cancer, alopecia, burn victims, etc… Synthetic wigs don’t look natural on children, so human hair makes the best wigs for them. I’m sometimes curious about the children that ended up with my hair. But then I don’t want to know… I just hope they smiled.
I’m lucky… I’m over 50 and haven’t gone grey yet (except a bit of salt and pepper in my beard
) and have never treated my hair so I’ll keep donating as long as I can. I just wish it was a faster process. Although my hair does grow pretty quickly.
@Lynnerizer @Star2236 Oh, Star… I attempted the one handed ponytail this morning which was ‘technically’ successful
I’m left-handed so I thought I’d try it right-handed
Didn’t use my left hand once.
I brushed my hair right handed and then pulled it over my right shoulder. I took a few moments to get three fingers in my hair tie and finally got it around my hair. I’m not proud of it but I at least wanted to try
Achievement Unlocked: Man bun on side of head!

I do not envy you. I hope you heal quickly
Or just wear your hair down
@capnjb @Star2236
He’s not as lucky as you in the growing department, his hair grows as slow as molasses flows! Lol
That’s just ONE of the reasons I’m against him cutting it…
If he doesn’t care for his short hair (which he hasn’t had since he was probably around 3 years old) it’s going to take forever for it to grow back!
Locks of love is the only hair donation program I ever have heard of. My guy is also blonde like I mentioned and at 65 he’s doesn’t have any grey hair either, except for his beard just like you. Usually blondes get that beautiful white hair so should you guys turn it’s still going to be beautiful!
Congrats on your one handed side ponytail/man bun!

GOALS… !
@Lynnerizer @Star2236
Can’t say I’m proud of what I did, but I tried
I think I’m back to two hands
I understand that all too well. But I can out stubborn time
I feel like yesterday my daughter was in first grade and now she is figuring out what college she wants to go to in the fall.
@capnjb @Star2236
At least you know you could do if needed.
Well thank goodness you have both hands to style those long locs, unfortunately Star isn’t so fortunate right now.
Funny thing… Both of us think of his son around 4 years old when we’re picturing him in our minds, in reality he’s coming up on 40 pretty quickly!

Where did the time go…
His son was 14 months old when I first met them. I tease my guy that he was his wingman and if it wasn’t for him who knows what would have come of us.
@capnjb @Lynnerizer
I think it makes a big difference if you have straight hair as opposed to curly hair that is multiple layers like mine. There’s no way I could brush my hair. It would make it 10 times worse and when trying to gather all my hair with the multiple layers. I was always missing a pieces here and there. That’s why I just gave up after two hours, it seemed impossible.
@capnjb @Star2236
My goodness TWO HOURS, I don’t think I would have lasted more than 15 minutes! Lol
Hope you’re feeling better!

@Lynnerizer @Star2236
I can imagine. I have very straight hair. It’s fine not thin. There is a difference. Heal quickly my friend
If you were in my neighborhood I’d do your ponytail for you
Two-handed
Classic Huggie + CZ Stud Set
Pppffftttt, tried attaching the pic but somehow just can’t
FOOLS! TOOLS! JEWELS! AWESOME!
@gnoogie I have the most difficult time with photos on here. You ought have seen how many attempts it took for me to post all of my photos above.
@gnoogie
Make sure you have your phone in landscape (horizontal) mode, but it’s much easier to do on a tablet or computer. Also make sure you hit the “ok” button again after it uploads
@capnjb @Star2236
So, I mentioned I was sad about missing the exchange… more because I love sending packages of craziness. My friend capnjb organized a package for me, which is incredibly sweet.
1 jar o honey
1 bag of custom roasted coffee beans
1 record in German… (i do speak the language, but it has been a long time!)
1 soundgarten cd
A cool light, we have these in a variety of places in our house… yes we need to update our lighting.
A yankee candle white spruce and grapefruit
Glow sticks
Imported chocolates/candies
Lemon fettuccine, which I wanted to try but didn’t want a case of them!
Poutine gravy… totally a fan of poutine, regret not getting it when I was in Vancouver (trip where I caught chickenpox)
Handwarmers
And last but not least, crabtree and Evelyn, the gardeners
Thank you for including me!! If you need someone to make a extra box, please reach out!
@mikibell
I’m glad you got to be included.
@mikibell
The candies look good and I will definitely keep you in mind if I need an extra box thank you
@mikibell You’re lucky I didn’t have a bigger box
Glad you got to join the party
@mikibell
WOW!!!
Wow. Wow… … … Oh, wasn’t sure if i would, but so many here, including myself, thought the lemon fettuccine was AWESOME
I wasn’t really into that kind of candy, but, now i definitely am
Those handwarmers
, now those were what I’ve often wondered about, previously working in places where 55⁰-65⁰ was the norm, for the equipment,
who cares 'bout the people running the equipment
And
GLOW

POPSOCKETS! SPA KITS! POLLY POCKETS! AWESOME!
@mikibell poutine!!! I’m jealous. Weirdest thing to have explained, but ever since I was at a movie theater in Peterborough and they talked me into it, I’ve been hooked.
@kykazaa @mikibell
I have referenced this before but one time in Boston we had “Irish poutine” at an Irish pub. Tater tots with Guinness corned beef hash gravy and Irish cheddar cheese curds. Yum…
(I have a pic on my phone someplace but I’m too lazy to go find it)
@kykazaa @mikibell

Okay, I lied.
Easy to search for it on my phone, a bit of a PITA to find from the “insert picture” part of the thread process. So I took a picture of it with my tablet and here it is:
@chienfou @kykazaa @mikibell DANG!! I think I’m walking (virtually) to Boston this year, so I may have to “stop by for a plate”.
@kykazaa @mikibell @tohar1
Paddy O’s was a fun place…
Well, yesterday I got a bonus second box from @kittykat9180 and it came at a perfect time as had bad day dealing with my mom. But this was a wonderful surprise.
Homemade chocolate chip cookies. There were actually more but I shared with my girls night bestie. They are so good! Just a little bit salty and balances with the chocolate perfectly
Cute little tea strainer
Really interesting chocolate herbal tea
Goodies from Kittykat’s home state… divine cherry soap, hot sauce and raspberry lavender jam.
Really beautiful tissue paper that ladybird will not be tearing up!
Thank you so much!
@ironcheftoni
I hope you enjoy everything. And I’m not biased when I say that I make the best chocolate chip cookies.
Be aware that the tea does have moderate caffeine. You might not want to drink it in the evening if caffeine interferes with your sleep.
@ironcheftoni love this so much and that the timing was so perfect!
@ironcheftoni
Congrats
Though, i admit to being slightly confused, greatly envious, and additionally curious 'bout those chocolate chip cookies

Mine have never turned out so good looking…
@ironcheftoni @kittykat9180 Ok… so my daughter makes cookies almost every week
Takes them to school events.
We go through a lot of flour, butter and chocolate chips
I’m going to send some to Toni and ask her which is best… which she will pause and respond, they are both great.
Which is the only correct answer
I can see the future. Heh.
Toni, I’ve sent you stuff before… I don’t want to dig forever to find it, so if you can send me a whisper with your address, I’ll tell my daughter to stop doing homework and start making cookies
You’ll get them before St. Patrick’s day. Maybe
I might even send some coffee.
Kittykat… same offer applies to you. If you would like cookies and coffee just say the word. And then just be patient, because I don’t like to go to the post office. So, you get it when you get it
@capnjb oh, wow, every week. That a lot of baking.
I bake once every month or two. Sometimes I’ll go on a baking spree and make other types of cookies as well such as Ranger cookies, biscochitos, or some unique recipe I found on the Internet.
I live at around 5300’, so I always have to make sure I adjust the recipes for baking at elevation.
@ironcheftoni
Great additional box, that jam looks awesome. I once found a strawberry rose jam, it was the best thing ever (little did I know it was a limited release and I only bought one).
MEALS! DEALS! EELS! AWESOME!
@capnjb
Don’t tell your daughter to stop doing homework! And I’m actually one of those weird ones that doesn’t like coffee
@ironcheftoni Boo!!! My wife is half English, half Irish (mother from Dublin, father from Yorkshire). We have a metric shit ton of tea in this house. Maybe I could start a Secret-Not-So-Secret tea club.

@ironcheftoni
Oh, she runs her own ship. She will change the world. Of that I’m certain. Weighted GPA of 4.88. Schools are throwing money at her. But she just wants to be her. So many scholarship offers. She has a few full ride offers. I just am the uber driver these days
@capnjb @ironcheftoni
I just am the UNPAID uber driver these days. There. Fixed it for you.
This is not my official box but a side quest box sent from the delightfully Philanthropic @chienfou! I’m so stinking giddy about putting the culinary happiness to use! I actually have a box started for him and @pony but have a few things to make before they can make their way cross country. Thanks for makin this misplaced Cajun smile!
@sillyheathen
Glad you like the package. Hopefully you’ll enjoy everything after you’ve had a chance to sample it!
@chienfou I have zero doubt my friend! Now put your bloody phone away and go dote on that foxy lady of yours!
@chienfou @sillyheathen I’m loving the unofficial boxes. I’m working on a couple myself and shipped one today.
@chienfou @ironcheftoni @sillyheathen
I’m loving that you guys are getting into this so much and sending more than one box. The jam and peanut butter look amazing. Everything looks amazing in the box. I’m a foodie
Big thanks to @hugacrv for a tremehndous mehxchange box! It arrived yesterday but I needed to be able to sit down and do it justice:

It contains:
This is all really great, and I’ve got some reading to do. Thanks @hugacrv!
P.S. You did put your Meh name on the box label after all!
@djslack

That’s a great box! That photo is gorgeous and I also love the cork robot kit. Very cool!
@djslack @Lynnerizer @hugacrv I agree, that’s a beautiful photo!
@djslack Glad you like all of it! A Valentine’s Meat Juice t-shirt is my favorite piece of “weird Richmond” swag, so sad they didn’t have it in your size. @Kyeh @Lynnerizer I’m pretty happy with how that photo came out.
@djslack Have been to most of those place mentioned in the Book. I really Like Richmond History! I am jealous!
@melanie413 love this so stinking much! Fab box!
I am not astute enough to add descriptions to pictures without deleting one or the other, but a huge shout out to cbilyak for all my cool items!!! LOVE the meh Garfield shirt! Such an awesome modge podge of fun! I cracked up at the Butt Muffler and as the mother of 4 boys, I may need to purchase some more! Lol. Cards, mug and guitar picks with a 90’s cruise theme, meh cookies, shirts, fitness bands, mask, Kevin pop figure, fun viking hat. Thank you sooooo much!!!
PANS! GLANDS! CRAYONS! AWESOME!
@melanie413 So the big furry thing in the plastic bag is a Viking hat?
@Kyeh @melanie413 I think we need to see this Viking hat in all its glory…
@melanie413 thanks for posting and glad you like it! I wavered on the butt muffler not knowing you, but it is funny to me so I added it. I want to make sure the box wasn’t received open/damaged because there should have also been 2 Casemates shirts, an electric toothbrush and a water pick - I think that was everything I sent. I can address it with UPS if it was damaged, let me know, thanks!
@Kyeh yup. A fuzzy one!
@Kyeh @Pony i will get right on that! School has been crazy with the end of the nine weeks. I will have to find a model.
@cbilyak no, they were there, one of my meh thieves was looking at them and didnt put them back in the box before I took the picture! They like to steal my stuff!!! Lol. Thanks again!!! I will try to remember to take a picture of them and the hat!
Well, hot damn… my box from @chienfou arrived today, and it was packed full of all manner of stuff! I had a lot of fun opening everything. This post is gonna be picture heavy; I’m going to place each in a comment instead of trying to put them all in one go, because it’ll be easier for me to keep from screwing up which text goes where. Shut up. I’m old.

Here’s pic #1- what opening the box looked like:
Pic #2:
Orange IRK bag, which will be used as my photo background because the black tablecloth is less than ideal for the job.

An amusing note, which, among other things, tells me there’s yet another item coming direct from the seller.
A set of 3 wee lock top containers, which will be handy when we take sandwich fixings with us when fishing.
A universal PC power cord
A really nifty LED lantern
A black can keeper, which my hubby will take- I have two rainbow colored ones that are too girly for him.
Two custom note pads that are just too wonderful: one says “A note from @pony” And has an upside down goat and “Meh” below that, and the other one says “I DO* like spiders and snakes” and at the bottom says “*fuck you, Jim Stafford” which made me laugh like a damn lunatic. My husband came to investigate the source of my mirth, and I had to explain about the song… he is 8 years younger than I am, so there are a lot of “oh, it was before your time” moments with us. hehehe.
Pic #3: detail shot of the notepads:
Pic#4:
A vacuum head for a pool cleaner; could have used this when we lived in California, we had a wonderful pool there. Sigh. I really, really miss that pool.

A roll of small garbage bags that will go in my truck for my litterbag.
2 cat toys and a big can of “Salty Cat” gooshy food that will get divvied up between our 5 furry little demons.
2 label tape cassettes; for what kind of machine I don’t know.
3 “parking ticket” type thingies that suggest practicing coloring the turtle may help with future parking skills.
A small blank notebook that will live in my purse.
2 little cartridges of what I think is correction tape?
A kit to make my very own “Nukshuk”
A hose shut off valve; very handy. We go through a lot of hose parts down in the chicken/duck/quail area.
A baggie marked “Obligatory Meh stuff” that contained a 4,000 mAh power bank, a tiny bourbon body wash that hubby will love and… a TrackR! Oh nooooo. I managed to get rid of multiple cases of those damned things, but here’s one more to taunt me. hahaha!
Pic #5
The Pièce de resistance… a beautifully creepy monsterfied doll! She appears to be a @koolhandjoe original. (I miss you, Sensei)
I absolutely adore her! She will join her sisters in my bedroom where they watch me when I’m sleeping. (cue creepy music)
Thank you SO much, @chienfou! This was so much fun- I’ve been feeling really low lately, and this really brightened up my day. I am grateful. And sorry about the food/spice restrictions, it figures an amazing foodie like you would get me as your giftee.

Oh, and I will add to this post when the other mystery item arrives. Thank you again!
Oh, and a glamour closeup of the doll’s face!

@Pony
So glad you enjoyed your mehtizen generated BOC!
The label cartridges fit in Brother style labelers which are pretty ubiquitous and extremely handy. I use mine a lot. I buy multi-roll sets when I buy tapes and have a ton of them around so thought I would share some of the wealth. If you don’t actually have a labeler I would recommend: (a) get one or (b) ask around … someone you know has one.
You are correct (so no need to use right now!) the round things are correction tape which my wife, as a teacher, used a lot. I would buy six packs for her for every possible gifting occasion and now that she’s not teaching anymore we have… ahem… a few extra around.
If I remember correctly I put rechargeable (EVEREADY?) batteries in the lantern so keep an eye out for those.
YES, the doll IS a KHJ original.
The ‘nunshuk’ kit was an obligatory re-gift from a prior exchange box… Thought they may find a use as exercise rocks for the tarantulas.
Check the fine print on the bourbon scent stuff… it may be hand sanitizer…
The parking tickets are fun to distribute to assholes who park like assholes. It helps keep my blood pressure down having a way to gently remind them to not be dicks.
Once I found out your menagerie included tarantulas and snakes that notepad was a no-brainer… Well, after a little bit of research to make sure (a) you’d get the reference and (b) that the bottom sentiment would be appropriate and not offensive. F*** that. And in reality, I think both of the pads are the same, they just have alternating pages. Don’t remember which way I set them up
No offense taken about the foodie stuff. I had other options.
Glad you’ll find a use for all the other random crap.
And BTW, I attended college nearby back in the mid-70s. I remember your town and the area fondly.
@chienfou I do have a labeler, but it’s a different type. I’ll probably send those refills to work with hubby, I’m sure someone in an office full of computer geeks will have the right machine.
You’re right about the bourbon stuff, it is hand sanitizer- I just brain farted while I was typing stuff up.
I’m actually thinking of re-gifting the nukshuk kit to our neighbor up the road- he has a bit of an obsession with building them all over his property. I’m not sure if his wife will shoot me for giving him a way to bring them inside, though… hmm.
We’ve only been in Colorado for about 5 1/2 years. I hate it here. Haaaate. It’s deathly dry, and pretty much always either frozen or on fire. I’d give a kidney to be able to move back home to the Seattle area. I need rain and green trees. And, you know, actual air. But this is where hubby’s job wound up needing him to be, so… sigh. We lived in California for the same reason, but we were only there for 2 1/2 years. It sucked too, but at least we had that really nice pool.
@Pony
Sorry you’re felling ‘trapped’ in Colorado. Glad this box gave you a few moments of joy.
@Pony Yes! I’m so stinking happy about this mashup! Great job @chienfou and it was a pretty perfect pairing. The KHJ doll is perfect. Knocked it outta the park!
@chienfou Oh, for crying out loud! I missed a photo when I was typing everything up. I blame the pain meds. Argh. Sorry about that- here’s the stuff that didn’t get posted last night:
A partial rainbow of pee-chee style folders
A retracting micro usb cable (I still have a few things that this will be useful for)
A pair of wireless earbuds
2 cups of pumpkin pie flavor cup noodles… (I kind of want to punch the person who came up with this flavor idea in the face.)
2 Food Saver attachments for sealing Ball jars- regular and wide mouth.
A wall mount surge protector outlet
An MP3 player
Novelty ‘Yes & No’ buzzer button set that has lots of different silly sounds.
So thank you AGAIN for the crazy good box of stuff- sorry I messed up the reveal.
@chienfou @Pony the yes and no buttons are proper ace!
@chienfou @sillyheathen Right? I’m going to put them in our arcade room.
@Pony @sillyheathen
No worries… Glad they amused you, Pony.
The ramen was something I ran across in the clearance aisle of a local Walmart and bought specifically in anticipation to include in this exchange box months ago!
If you have a FoodSaver the vacuum sealers are super handy for handling things that are a bit fragile like crackers or croutons etc. You put them in a mason jar and can vacuum pack them for extended periods of time without crushing them. Likewise handy for things like flour, rice, dried beans, nuts etc.
The MP3 player (remember those?) is still sealed and probably a handful of years old. It would definitely benefit from being opened and charged, I’m sure.
(Oh, and the Y/N button was a re-gift from a previous exchange as well… I had to be careful packing them so they wouldn’t go off in transit)
@Pony @sillyheathen
Oh, one more thing. I checked part deux and the current anticipated arrival date is March 5th. I suspect it may come before then though. I’ll message your tracking number when they post one to me.
@chienfou @Pony
Those ball jar food savers are really cool. I want those.
@chienfou @Pony
Personalized note pads is such a cool idea.
But I gotta know how the pumpkin ramen tastes.
BTW a hardy thank you shout out to themeh powers that be for pinning this topic.
@chienfou
Yes, thank you
Here we go! I’m glad @KNmeh7 was new to the exchange this year because I think they tried extra hard and I received the benefit of quite a haul including some homemade goodies! (Home made caramel!)
I had a sparse list (hiking socks, notebooks, local stuff, tungsten to challenge the USPS shipping weight) and they somehow captured a lot of my interests.
Too much stuff to list in a post and not hit a character limit so a picture tells a thousand words.
Meh: I recognize some of those IRK items from the reveal thread. The sunscreen will keep me youthful and the girdle will accentuate my irresistible curves.
The core of some Ohio sources items including the apple honey and spices. And the mustard will be used in a stroganoff this weekend! Score!
The snacks look enticing and I love wasabi so those chips are getting sampled tonight.
Star Trek Tarot cards. OMFG that’s wild and amazing. TnG was my favorite series and my go-to to put on in the background while I did housework. I have no idea what I’m going to do with them but honestly it’s brilliant.

Astronaut ice cream sandwich for some of that Ohio space pedigree. I have flown into Wright-Pat AFB several times just to visit the museum. (The XB-70 there is my favorite airplane of all time BTW). I’m actually working on a NASA project, so again you nailed my space interests
. BTW I already ate it. It and the Neopolitan you could get at the air and space museum was a core childhood (and now adult) happy memory.
A beautiful notebook with the Grand canyon themeing. I’m not heading out West just yet, but that one’s going to get used more appropriately than my other plans to just improve my handwriting.
A cool selection of stickers and I do happen to have a Ruger case of my own that needs some decorating now Im wondering how deep your inspection of my interests went
I don’t know who signed the radio station stickers but I’m curious so if you remember I’d love to know.
An Ohio State pin. Sorry, a THE Ohio State University pin. I take everything back. This package sucks. My day is ruined because… WE ARE - having a very the worst season. (Though honestly it was a great season because when your team was playing so poorly the games became stress free so even nailbiter losses felt like a win).
There’s so much more… Look at the pic!
@Aetherwizard Great box and doggie approved! Good job @KNmeh7
@Aetherwizard That puppy looks like it survived the trip quite well!
@Aetherwizard this is another amazing box! @KNmeh7 fab job. Love everything about this box. Especially the Asian crisps! I love the flavors that I can find at our local. So much better than most of local flavors. And the Star Trek happiness is fab!
@Aetherwizard I am so happy you enjoyed! The deadline was approaching and I didn’t get to write out explanations for some of the inclusions.
Let’s start off with the radio station sticker. Unfortunately, I do not know what band signed the sticker and that station is extinct. WWCD 101.1, 102.5, 92.9 was an independent, locally-owned, radio station that was my jam. They fought multiple fights to keep their radio signal (they only had leases on the towers, and clear channel was killing off independent ones, they priced them out) and short while online before folding.
They had a small concert stage at the station that they hosted artists for, usually acoustic, small sets. I saw no less than 30 of these over the decades. Switchfoot in Sept of 2023 was the last I saw, and one of the last ones ever. A lot of others are still on their youtube channel.
The loss was such that fans started an online station that was mostly the same artists, but continuing with their new tracks, b-sides, and the stuff that corporate radio doesn’t spin. Two of the old station DJs have weekly segments. It brings me joy. www.radiounbound.com
That is great about the ice cream bringing up memories. Obviously it was nod to Ohio astronauts and freeze dried stuff is cool; got lucky with the nostalgia.
When I got your name, the past 30 days of comments had a mention of TNG and philosophy. My better-half, the bookseller, found those.
And you asked for stickers, and I have lot of suppressor stickers! The industry went all-in marketing knowing the tax stamp was going away. I figured you would find them cool or useless.
@therealjrn kitty too

@Aetherwizard

@Aetherwizard
What a fun collection of stuff. How were the wasabi chips?
@kittykat9180 actually really good. They weren’t as “sharp” as something like wasabi peas, but it had a solid level of flavor commensurate to something like vinegar chips. I’d buy em if I saw em.
Public service announcement! I know tomorrow is the deadline and there are a few that have not sent yet. However, there are a lot more that have not been marked as received in elfster. If you have received your exchange, please help your friendly neighborhood exchange organizers so we don’t have to chase you down. It’s just one little click. Thank you!
@ironcheftoni The weather might be delaying some packages, maybe?
@ironcheftoni @Kyeh I know @Cerridwyn and @Mikibell have received their boxes so you can check them off if they haven’t clicked that button. (I know Mikibell wasn’t in the exchange… that was just a side quest for me
)
I haven’t had anything land as of yet, but I am REALLY good at getting ghosted

But I am an Olympic level procrastinator so if it went out at the last second I respect that
If nothing arrives, I’m fine with that. I got two boxes out to fellow mehtizens so I consider this a success
@capnjb @Cerridwyn @ironcheftoni @Kyeh @mikibell
As I mentioned previously I’m currently vacationing in South florida. Haven’t heard from my kitty sitters whether they picked up a package off the porch yet?
I’ll be back home Monday and will post at that time. As I said before “someone has to be last”.
Thanks for your patience.
@capnjb @Cerridwyn @chienfou @ironcheftoni @Kyeh @mikibell HOLY CARP!! I sent mine on Monday and they said it would be delivered next Monday but it got delivered yesterday! Somebody was ignoring the speed limits.
@capnjb @Cerridwyn @chienfou @ironcheftoni @Kyeh @mikibell @yakkoTDI I paid extra to ensure it was delivered Tuesday, but it isn’t finding its way until tomorrow. I need your postal hookup.
Well my package was supposed to be delivered yesterday but it’s now saying Thursday or Friday so I apologize to the poor unsuspecting soul. You’ll just have to wait a few more days for the regret.
@sillyheathen Same here. UPS pushed the delivery of mine out one day. I guess I can’t blame them after the Blizzard of '26 up here in the Northeast.
@ItalianScallion I’m probably jinxing things but we’ve been really mild apart from a week of low temps. It’s bananas to see everyone inundated by the snow and ice. May both our boxes live long and prosper on the way to their destinations!
@sillyheathen We have a super bright sunny day out here around Boston and the temp is holding right around the freezing mark. The snow on my car has melted or sublimated from over a foot down to about six inches. I guess I’ll clear it off today. My nearly empty refrigerator is calling out to Trader Joe’s and I must heed the call soon.
@ItalianScallion my always full fridge is always calling out for TJs.
@ItalianScallion @sillyheathen I’m jinxing myself too while I’m tempted to open a window since it’s sunny and 81 degrees. It’s not over with yet. False spring… Just enough to get our hopes up. I do remember one year we got 5 inches of snow on spring equinox. Don’t like the weather in Texas, wait 5 minutes
@sillyheathen @ironcheftoni You reminded me of the early May snowstorm we had in Worcester, Mass. (and other parts of New England) in 1977 just before I graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. The storm knocked power out because of the heavy, wet snow and damaged fruit trees and their crops. Over 600,000 people in Massachusetts and northern R.I. lost power. It was an unbelievable situation!
Here’s a 2017 story about the storm that was in the Worcester Telegram and Gazette newspaper:
40 years ago today: 5 facts about a late-season storm in Central Mass.
@ironcheftoni @ItalianScallion @sillyheathen
OH WOW, those are some fun facts!
Thanks!
Hmm, the package I sent is coming tomorrow, and the package I’m receiving is coming Friday, and I’m not sure which I’m more excited about!
@mossygreen the waiting is torturous!
@mossygreen @sillyheathen My gifter wanted to make sure I wouldn’t figure out who they are, I guess, so they didn’t give me a tracking number. I know it shipped, but I’m waiting with bated breath for it and for their identify! I’m 100% sure that my giftee knows that it’s me from the sending address.
@ItalianScallion @mossygreen shenanigans!
My secret elf @sillyheathen sent me a fantastic box! Thank you sooooo much!!
In it I found…
The things:
-Small avocado plushie
The food:
And I saved the best for last:
@ItalianScallion EVERY item in the last picture was made by @sillyheathen!
@Kyeh @sillyheathen Wowwww!!! That is sooo awesome!! I didn’t think so when I saw the name of a company on the back of the coasters. I guess it’s her company!
MEALS! DEALS! EELS! AWESOME!
@ItalianScallion @Kyeh yes. This is true. I hand painted the cards and bookmarks. I also made the coasters, the communicator badge, and the enterprise clips. Those were spur of the moment. I was setting up my laser for the coasters and saw a bag of the clothespins. And it hit me. They needed to become starships.
I was hoping to make you a mug because I’ve been in a ceramics class for a few weeks but it wouldn’t have been ready in time. It’s actually going in the kiln for its first fire tonight.

It will have to come on its tod.
The pecans are pretty special. They’re from the last harvest on my family farm. So hopefully you don’t have an allergy. I just hope you like it and make sure you throw that avocado at someone!
@ItalianScallion @sillyheathen
It IS her company. And she makes a zillion different things. When she’s not putting up buildings or cooking gourmet feasts or growing plants & flowers & food indoors and out. Whew!
@ItalianScallion @Kyeh ha! I guess I should be named Jill?
@ItalianScallion @sillyheathen
Huh?
@ItalianScallion @Kyeh @sillyheathen …of all trades, I presume?
@Kyeh I guess @sillyheathen is a real Renaissance woman!
@ItalianScallion @Kyeh @Pony yes I meant of trades.
and I dunno about renaissance woman. I’m probably better suited for the looney bin!
@ItalianScallion @Pony @sillyheathen Oh, right!
@Kyeh @sillyheathen …and a master of all of them, @Pony!
@ItalianScallion @Kyeh @sillyheathen Agreed.
@Kyeh @sillyheathen After reading about the pecans, I couldn’t resist opening them even though it’s after midnight here. They’re so good! Thank you!! And that mug is beautiful!
I had to look up what “on the tod” meant, by the way.
Oh, what a wonderful day this was!
@ItalianScallion @sillyheathen great box! Well done.
@ItalianScallion
What a great box, she’s so talented.
@Star2236 I was so lucky that you made her my secret elf!
A huge thank you to @tohar1 for doing such a great job researching me for my box. There are lots of goodies pulling from all parts of who I am.
&
It’s not a classic tracker, but much appreciated…
&
The most researchy of all research!
![All of the things!][1]
[1]:
@UpbeatDuck these are all so good! Lucky duck!
Awesome job @tohar1
EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!
@UpbeatDuck I hope at least a couple things made you smile (or maybe outright giggle!)…I do have fun curating these gifts & hope I hit the bullseye. Nice youtube channel BTW. I’m quite the cook myself…Maybe we’ll see a video upcoming with a tribute to “Fargo”!
@UpbeatDuck
The bumper sticker made me laugh.
WOW! @yakkoTDI sent me an amazing box!

TWO! lego sets, including one of my all time favorite sets the tiny plants! and DINOSAURS!
A set of super illegal gold edition Buckyballs that I will certainly not feed to children.
A maybe also still illegal, Nissan Skyline model car
2 pairs of comfort republic boxer briefs, sealed for freshness, in sizes small and 6xl, if I wore boxer briefs my size would be somewhere in between those 2. But a friend does an annual socks&underwear drive so they will make it to someone that will appreciate them
A pack of nice bamboo chopsticks
Cement garden stone
LED light bar
mophie power bank with usb-c
A pack of Wipe Your Paws pet cleaning wipes
An envelope of randomness
3 SWAMP mountain bike club cloth trail maps
While I don’t mountain bike, and I’m about as far away from Florida as you can be in the continental US, they are super cool. If I ever find myself in Florida I will make sure to put to use.
The envelope contents:

4 business card sized emergency sponges?
the smallest HDMI cable I have ever seen
A red pen
A 5ml baby medicine dropper
A tiny flashlight
Tiny post-it notes
4 zip tips
Brand new zippo
2 custom made magnets
Everything in the box is amazing and almost everything will also be used.
Thanks @yakkoTDI !!
@metaphore okay that’s amazeballs! The lego plant set is fantastic! What a wonderful box! Great job @yakkoTDI!
@metaphore @sillyheathen The Lego plant set is what made it hard to find a box.
If you could find one the Skyline would be legal as it is more than 25 years old. Of course if it was a real GT-R it would be really expensive.
The magnets are painted by my friend Josh. The same Josh that painted the glow in the dark coffee pictures for @capnjb.
The garden stone means you are now eligible to come to Jimmy’s Christmas party and join in on the Crappy Christmas Gift Exchange. You can bring the stone or something else. Random gifts in the past have included mix “tape” CDs, mangoes, a can of beans and a potato.
The maps are 3 of the places I ride. Balm Boyette is my favourite even though that is where I broke my leg.
I am still amazed that I dropped off the package Monday afternoon and it was delivered so fast.
@metaphore Is your friend part of this group?
@ItalianScallion @metaphore
Awesome box.
And I love the concept of mountain bike trails in a state with a maximum natural elevation of 345 feet!
POPSOCKETS! SPROCKETS! DAVY CROCKETT! AWESOME!
@chienfou @ItalianScallion @metaphore
So, my incredible, amazing, wonderful box arrived today. It is AMAZING! But I don’t know who it’s from. So, Judith from Chicago, please let me know your Meh name. You have made my day J.K.
It is a wonderful and thoughtful box. You are very caring and I will do my best to take pictures of all the wonderful items. You nailed it with the popcorn and the coffee. You read me so well
Even without the wish list. And I like surprises
It’s always been great to get creative
Thank you so much. You have made my day. And it’s a good day
@star2236 or @ironchefToni if you could let me know who this wonderful person is I’d appreciate it. You can send it in a whisper.
I’ll post pictures soon. It’s so hard not to rip into all this wonderment. It is a wonderful gift. Thank you so much
But I’m hungry and staring at so many wonderful things. I’m having trouble staring at so many wonderful treats
I’ll post soon
@capnjb that would be @jkawaguchi. Awesome! Can’t wait to see photos. And see? You didn’t get ghosted.
VAN GOGH! MANGO! TANGO! AWESOME!
@ironcheftoni @jkawaguchi Heh… that would make sense

I’m busy using all the words. Reveal post coming to your theaters sometime soon
Ok… I can’t wait any longer
Here I go… J.K. I hope you stroll through this thread and announce yourself so I can thank you properly
Okay it’s @jkawaguchi I love everything… get ready for the word avalanche
So… I didn’t put anything on my wish list as I truly love surprises
And I’m not sure how, but she nailed it!!!
I didn’t grab a photo of it but there was a funny Meh photo and a lovely note included that was very thoughtful. She even called my daughter Road Runner
Which was special to me
So first off, I found popcorn and coffee. LOVE IT! Caramel and cheddar popcorn, from her friend’s shop
Not going to lie… I opened it immediately
We have a movie theater style popper that I lug to softball games and run it on a big battery
So, yes. I am a popcorn guy. I am going to have to ration that or at least put it in my wife’s control because I could eat that entirely in one sitting
Also there was a wonderful bag of coffee which I am thankful for because we have been below freezing for so long and it’s been tough to roast. If are not a member of the Secret-No-So-Secret coffee club… yes, I am a coffee guy. And then. Something you wouldn’t expect to make someone cry, but there were two small bags of treats from nuts.com. Bourbon pecans and malted milk balls. I lost my dad two years ago and he always had a big box from nuts.com and we’d sit and watch golf or football and just snack on whatever he had last ordered. I know it sounds silly but you just made him jump back into my life for a moment and I love it. Thank you. Happy tears
But I’m using way too many words so I’m going to post this first picture and get on with the rest so I don’t break meh’s servers
So next up there was an adult coloring book. Not like adult, adult, but rather something perfect someone with a weird brain like mine. I have crazy ADHD with a good splash of OCD. This will be very fun to explore
Thank you. Also, a beautiful clover pin. Which is wonderful because I have an Irish wife and the next time I piss her off I can be like, ‘Hey, I got you this’
Also a reusable Starbucks cup (which is great) but that will likely go to my daughter because she goes all the time. Since I roast my own beans, I’ve only been to Starbucks once. I ordered a large black coffee and there were like 30 questions about what I wanted. Heh. I was like ‘Big cup. Black coffee’
My daughter will love the cup
Also, there was a pair of earplugs that I think I’ll put in my rifle bag for the range. I have ear protection, but if you have met my ADHD you might know I can sometimes forget things
Okay… too many words. One more post
Okay @jkawaguchi for the third and final photo, I will let you know you made me cry for a second time. I’ll leave that comment for the end.
So there are a few Kind bars. Which is funny, because I sent some too in the box I sent. Also, a wonderful tiny key chain… very cute. And some key covers. These are actually very helpful. My front door key and my back door key look exactly the same. It’s like plugging in a USB cord. Sometimes you get it right on the first attempt, but more often than not… Nope
So… back to the rest. And why you made cry for a second time today.
The pocket watch.
I assume it’s not a fancy one, but it stirred my heart when I saw it. My grandfather carried one when he was the manager of a grain mill in eastern Washington state. He died before I was born. I never got to meet him. But he gave it to my father, and my father gave it to me as a teenager. I carried it with me everywhere. It died in the past year and I’m not sure if it is fixable. I know these exchanges are supposed to be fun and silly, but you’ve touched my heart twice today. Even if was unintentional.
Thank you J.K. Be good.
@capnjb that box is kind of perfect for you. Great job @jkawaguchi!
@capnjb
️ Star2236 has done an awesome job and helped me navigate through the various issues that I had; a BIG thank you to
️! With no wish list, I was in quandary then I got a hint. I did scrounge meh for some clues and landed on so very ‘proud Pap’ moments about ‘sports ball’ and the ‘ROADRUNNER’! As a mom of 5 now grown up kids, I know the joy of watching them succeed! I hope I’ve made a friend. I know your home area because my daughter and her Army husband were stationed at Fort Mead for many years and grandson was born at Bethesda. He spent 6 yrs at John Hopkins for Leukemia treatment and rang the bell! So I’ve been in your neck of the woods a few times. What’s the thing with Duck pin bowling? I’m a 10 pin player. To me it’s just bocci ball in doors.
I’m so glad you like my choices. Being new to this I had my doubts about getting it right. I’ve been around for years but never really participated in the forums.
Enjoy your treats! I’m a decaf person because my Cardiologist told me to be. Disabled physically but not cognitively!
POPSOCKETS! ROAD ROCKETS! SONNY CROCKETT! AWESOME!
@jkawaguchi Thank you again
And I have literally died twice in surgery so I don’t listen to my cardiologist
I can out stubborn the grim reaper
It really was a perfect box. Thank you again. You can draw my name anytime
Thanks JK. It was amazing
@capnjb I didn’t realize that this experience would be so rewarding. I’ve always thought that the people who were on the forums were
cool, but they are AWESOME!
POPSOCKETS! SPROCKETS! DAVY CROCKETT! AWESOME!
@jkawaguchi This is an interesting place if you don’t take anything too seriously
There are a lot of good people standing in the shadows who want to make you smile
@capnjb I’m finding that to be true
@capnjb @jkawaguchi Nice goodies! I just happen to have that exact same little cat and bell keychain. It’s adorable!
@jkawaguchi
Way to “knock one out of the park”!
@capnjb
You can get the pocket watch repaired. Years ago I got my dad’s pocket watch repaired. It was a couple hundred bucks. Start calling watch places and they can point you in the right direction. It has to be a certain kind of watch place.
Still waiting on my package. USPS said it was to be delivered yesterday but NO! Tracking has it in town sitting at my postal zone. No current delivery date, yet.
As Carly Simon said…Anticipation is making me wait, it’s keeping me waiting….
Ok update! My box arrived this morning from JB in Highland Park! Thanks JB! Don’t know your meh name, so just using initials to keep your name secret.
Huge box! Have to figure out how to get everything in place to take pictures! First impressions: wish I had kids at home to enjoy most of the stuff! Thanks for no food or fragrant items! Lots of fun stuff here: a wall hanging growth measuring scale,a bag of 74 mini dinosaurs, a bag of cookie stamps, a bag of pens,4 puzzles, an art craft kit, a nice long sleeve shirt & a pair of red knee high socks, a hummingbird feeder, an eight sided die, a bag of pieces for crafting or decorating gifts, a fridge magnet, a computer part & cord/ cable, 2 wall calendars, a meh frisbee, a red irk bag, a box of 6 Wall mounted nightlights, a fold away storage bin, a couple of small dolls with a skateboard, a car thermometer/clock thing, a roll up travel blanket, a Great Lakes sticker! Last but not least an envelope of Trakrs! Most of the items will be given to my daughter who babysits a lot! Her friends have kids, she doesn’t, yet. The puzzles I’ll keep; they look fun! The blanket will go in the car. Hummingbird feeder will go in the garden. Cookie stamps in the baking supplies drawer. Magnet on the fridge. The die will join the D&D set. Pictures to follow. Need help from my ‘very busy’ retired husband.
This is when being disabled sucks the most. The spirit is willing but the body doesn’t work, meh….
Thank you JB, we’re sort of neighbors!
@jkawaguchi What a relief! I too was watching the tracking, thinking I have enough stuff for another box if the post office lost it. We ARE (sort of) neighbors. When you wrote “something local” I was like, um, anything I would normally send you already have access to or don’t need. But you DON’T have a Gold Pyramid House magnet, because who does? Anyway, hope you enjoyed unpacking everything and I must admit I was very psyched you were active in the puzzle thread because I love puzzles and have a bunch.
PS Silly me, I wrote my name on the outside of the box and forgot to put anything INSIDE.
@mossygreen I love the magnet! It’s on the fridge. Had to remind my husband where it is; then he remembered”Ah, yes!”
The book stamp is sure to get used as I live in a library! I’ve learned that I should always label my books when ‘loaning’ them out if I ever expect them back!
@jkawaguchi
This is not the JB you are looking for
Sounds like a wonderful box
Welcome to your first exchange
They are always full of nonsense, frivolity and that other word I can’t think of in the moment.
If you smiled. You win
It’s funny how proximity works. When @Caffieneguy joined the Secret-Not-So-Secret coffee club, he sent me his address and it was less than 5 minutes away from where Road Runner plays softball, so I was going to hand deliver it. And then 30 minutes later I realized I should probably pick up my kiddo
There are a lot of good folks around here
@capnjb Today I was surrounded by JBs! One to gift to, one to be gifted from. I feel a Joyful Bounty has come my way! Thank you both for a wonderful experience. You’ve made me smile.
This is a good place with folks of genuine good humor!
@jkawaguchi Smiles are healing. I’m happy you had a good time with the exchange
And you are certainly welcome here. All the time
Once again, thank you for the wonderful box. My next order of coffee will likely include a pound of decaf
Just to make your cardiologist happy
It might take a minute to get it to you, but you’ll get it. Just ask Star. Her coffee took almost two years to arrive (but it was fresh!)

I received my box from @djslack yesterday. It was truly whelming! There were things I will enjoy using, things I will use in a pinch and some things that will either be gifted to friends or family or donated or may join the circle of Meh exchange. We shall see. My cats appreciated the very fine box it came in and Pixel, my little two year old agent of chaos has decided that a small blue bag is now his very favorite toy ever…other than the paper he likes to chew on, the laser pointer, his rainbow snek, fud, my feet, his sister and anything that moves on his own. So, ya know, it’s in the top ten. That’s something!
Thanks to all involved for another fun exchange!
The unopened box! My cats agree that all boxes are very fine boxes.
The note from @DJSlack
Pixel gives the box a chew and declares it a very fine box!
Pixel reassessed his determination of the box as very fine mid-way through the unpacking process. In the end he decided it really was a very fine box!
Most of the contents. Missing was the small blue bag that Pixel stole and a mini moon pie that he tried to eat. I ended up eating it after dinner last night. It was whelming.
Pixel and his new blue bag/toy
Nix liked the crinkly paper that was included and claimed it as her own. Pixel decided he wanted it and to pounce on her. But she held her own! She later also inspected the box and declared it a very fine box.
And I have no idea why I can’t get the picture captions under the pictures.
@gt0163c What a great box! Is Pixel a Turkish Van? I was unaware of the breed, and got to watch one for a week; he was a character.
@gt0163c Who Dat?!?! love so much about this! Amazing job @djslack. Love all that Mardi Gras happiness!
@KNmeh7 As far as I know, Pixel is whatever the cat equivalent of a mutt is. I adopted him through my favorite local cat rescue (https://www.buddiesplacecatrescue.org/). They said he had been found on the back patio of a friendly woman who became his furster (foster) mom. She said he was pretty skinny and very fearful of lawn equipment. She lives in an area where animals are often dumped, so that was likely his origin story. They figure he probably had a run-in with a mowing crew but managed to get away physically unscathed. The vet said he was probably around two years old. He was with the rescue only about a month before he adopted me.
He is a very friendly, active, sweet little boy. He loves to play and eat. He usually wants to be near me and regularly jumps on my lap or my shoulders, pats (or occasionally attacks) my arms or legs to politely (or not so politely) ask for attention. He likes to sleep on my bed with me, sometimes cuddled against my chest…or attacking the monsters that are under the covers surprisingly near my feet.
He and Nix have mostly figured out their relationship. He wants to play more than she does but he’s also good about respecting her boundaries (most of the time) and she is very patient with him.
It’s been a long time since I’ve had a cat this young in the house and it’s been loads of fun…and also more scratches on my feet and legs than I remember.
@gt0163c
What a great box with some really cool stuff in there.
Here’s the pictures my husband took
@jkawaguchi So much fun stuf. I love the little plastic dinosaurs and the Michigan sticker!
So much stuff! I might have missed a few items
@jkawaguchi Once more a shout out to mossygreen! Thanks for the fun! Any one need a Trakr?
@jkawaguchi Hah! Everyone here likely has or has had a TrackR. It’s kind of what we do
What a fun box
edit - they are almost like Meh currency
You meh-borhood exchange assistant here. I’m happy to report that all packages have been marked as sent!
There are 9 that are not marked as received. I’m sure that’s ones that have been sent in the last few days or ones that have been delayed due to weather.
It’s been great seeing all the love put into the boxes and how proud everyone is of sharing their little corner of the world. I look forward to seeing the rest of the reveals.
@ironcheftoni I’m in Vegas until late Monday. I can ask the kiddos if my box has been delivered though.
@ironcheftoni Thanks for all your work, both Star and Toni and everyone else involved. It takes a lot of work to organize a giant group of dummies
Squeeeee! My additional mystery item from @chienfou just arrived- it’s my very own Meh ex-goat mug! I coveted the one that he sent @capnjb, and he ordered one for me too! You’re a rockstar- thank you SO much!

@Pony he’s not too shabby, is that one.
@sillyheathen Damn straight. A full on sweetheart.
@Pony @sillyheathen
Wow, it got there much earlier than I expected.
Glad you like it and it arrived intact. Mine plays heavily in the rotation of mugs that get used each morning for my coffee.
@chienfou @Pony @sillyheathen

Those are pretty cool mugs chienfou, I’m betting evey past goat is most likely a little envious.
Great job!
@chienfou I love it! It will definitely get plenty of use. Thank you again!
@chienfou @Lynnerizer @Pony @sillyheathen
I don’t know about every goat but this one is.
@chienfou @Pony @sillyheathen @yakkoTDI
This one is too…

/Showme a upside down goat that’s green with envy
(@ showme
)
Or not…

@Lynnerizer @showme That’s a spiffy mug!
@Pony
That mug is super cool definitely jealous.
I received a very full and heavy box on Friday from @gt0163c. I have not had time to fully unpack it yet, in part because I want to do it in an organized way so I can photograph everything, but what I’ve seen so far I love. Reserving this space for pictures.
Funny thing, we did an exchange before, back in the deals.woot days. I thought I remembered seeing your username written down in the physical world, and since I never delete email I found it buried in gmail. October 2013. I think you were very generous then, too.
@mossygreen

/giphy deja vu
@mossygreen I applaud you for wanting to unpack the box in an organized way. But that could take a while, particularly when you get to the Ziploc bag full of stickers and sticker related items.
@gt0163c I consider myself fairly warned.
Okay. Got home last night after being gone a week and found a stack of a dozen packages that the cat sitters had brought inside but nothing that looked like it was from the exchange. OMG! After a brief moment of sphincter-tightening panic and shock and thoughts of porch pirates I realized

D’oh… it was arriving by USPS and I had my mail held. Should hit my porch sometime later today so will probably post this evening.
@chienfou
Well damn it. Mail resumed like it was supposed to but still… no package! Shows it delivered to the local post office on the tracking so I’m sure it’s there somewhere. I’m missing a few other things as well, like a copy of the local weekly newspaper that comes on Wednesdays.
Evidently the carrier forgot to grab it with the rest of my mail, or they forgot to get it out of their car when they were delivering. Either way… looks like one more day!
Sorry for the slow receipt / post, I’ve been to Boston and Florida this past week and a half, so finally getting around to unboxing. Short story, it was a great day! First, I got three boxes and I was quite unsure which was which. One, my exchange box, one my re-exchange box, and one a random FB exchange I had forgotten about.

And my favorite…a Bucees Duck! I love the beaver…er I mean duck.
Unboxing…starting small…the Reverse Exchange…
It starts with a gift box…
inside the gift box…a regift and a new gift
I dont think @rcwbbb realized that sour candies are my favorite, but I got one bag back. Those will be consumed before next Halloween
On to a bigger box…the Exchange

What an awesome (cue the bot) haul! Laid out in all its glory. Detailed explanations in each pick…
We start with the Undermining Game…a new one to me, but already has a place on the shelf next to Catan. The iphone screen enlarger may come in use…I’m getting old.
the new home…

Who doesn’t love the Princess Bride! A true classic that I will be watching again soon. Blade II is a new one for me…never saw Blade I, so could be interesting.
The Signed (and certified) Drew Lock Broncos jersey! nice pick up…and its in a nice plastic bag, so I cant say I didnt get a bag. Although as a Bengals fan, I may have to regift this one, but it could be a nice Halloween present for some neighborhood kid.
The Bluetooth Wireless Thermometer from GrillRight. Sweet. I have a built in one, but its nice to have a second one when I am smoking multiple meats.
A custom made wine bottle holder and some stoppers. Can’t give these out for Halloween, but I think I can use the holder.
Another autograph…I don’t recognize the guy, but he’s got some awesome spectacles and played for the LA Dodgers. I have a great LA Dodgers story, but I’ll save that for another time.
I’m going to take this on the cruise I won last week on Wheel of Fortune! I think that was pure luck that you included this, because you sent the package before my show aired and no one knew what I won.
Never been to Yosemite, but a nice little journal and pen set.
Elvis on 45. I’ve been looking at Jukeboxes for the arcade, but I will probably do a CD one if I end up going that route. Still pretty cool to have a 45 again. Dont think I’ve owned one for 30 years.
These are absolutely getting hung up in the arcade. Just have to get a nice case for them and figure out how I get some wall space.
And the piece de resistance…a letter from the guilty party admitting to all of the meh they just sent me. Thanks @joebuddah This was great!!!
Oh and that other box was a seat swap for the arcade I made through FB…

WORKER BEES! HERCULES! TURKEY GREASE! AWESOME!
@kykazaa You win Wheel of Fortune?! I think we need to hear more about that.
Pretty cool boxes, too!
@kykazaa I love that version of The Princess Bride DVD. The font works even when it is upside down.
@kykazaa @yakkoTDI Oh, that IS neat about the font - I hadn’t noticed!
@kykazaa Incredible collection of things. Life is so unfair. You send me back an IRK plushie which I DIDN’T want. I send you back your candy which you DO want.

Lucky you. Wheel of Fortune contestant. Win a (had to have been a Grand Prize) cruise! The highlight of the whole experience, though, had to have been seeing Vanna in person, right?
@kykazaa this is an epic box. What an amazing collection of cool things! Love everything about this box! Bravo @joebuddah.
@Kyeh @rcwbbb wheel was awesome. I was on Feb 20 for the start of National Geographic week. I won 5 puzzles, including the prize puzzle (a National Geographic cruise of Baja California), made it to the bonus round where I froze. Got to hug Vanna at the end, but don’t really remember that part. I had the million dollar wedge and another cruise wedge going into bonus round and it was just overwhelming. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience. I’ll be doing Wheel of Fortune for Halloween this year, so that should be fun too. Cruise is next Feb and I’ve just got to remember to take my sign with me
. Possibly a Bucee Ducky too.
POKER! JOKER! NOT MEDIOCRE! AWESOME!
@Kyeh @rcwbbb
Oh, my @kykazaa I imagine that’s quite the experience! It looks so easy sitting at home with no pressure. Congratulations on the prize win and esp. the Vanna hug
@Kyeh @kykazaa @rcwbbb @therealjrn
Congratulations on a great job to all involved, really cool about the wheel of Fortune win! That cruise should be interesting.
@Kyeh @kykazaa @rcwbbb great box and congratulations on the wheel of fortune win. When does it air? Or have we missed it?
Just got home from Vegas and there’s a box on the table! I will be opening it after I recharge the batteries.
Wow. @djtalia sent a Mary Poppins bag of a box.
There were so many things inside and they all filled me with glee. There was a veritable rainbow on my table. So so so many things. And tbh, I think I will use every last thing. You absolutely get me.
So much so that I almost purchased the book you sent in a bookstore in Vegas before we left yesterday as I had finished the final insanely long book of the TOG series. I will definitely be sending my you a little thank you in the mail next week. Seriously, this was so fun and wonderful!
What’s in the box?

@ironcheftoni I can make you a magnet!
Thank you so much to @star2236 and @ironcheftoni for organizing this! It was a really great one. Thank you for all that you do!
I realize I had set aside my goofy/goody items and didn’t put them in the box, so someone might be getting a supplemental package in a few days.
