@Kyeh@mossygreen@sammydog01 Sizing was spot on for me. I take a 3XL in most shirts and my long-sleeved black Meh t-shirt in 3XL fit me as well as most of my other t-shirts in the same size.
@Kyeh@mossygreen@sammydog01 Well, after washing it in 30 degreesC (warm cycle) once, it shrank a little, enough that it barely covers my fat belly. I would size up if you order these. By the way, the shirts (both short- and long-sleeved) didn’t get any softer after washing. They’re still a bit scratchy.
@ItalianScallion I’m genuinely glad it did. I had pretty good luck with 4XL (which they offered for a while; not sure what happened there), whereas most of my meh 3XLs are too short for my tastes.
Can’t remember why I said the 3XL was vague. In any case, I’m generally fine in a 3XLT and tend to get my t-shirts in 4XLT. I don’t understand the appeal of shirts that expose the belly. Sure, if you’re ripped, but how many of us are? Even at $10, it doesn’t make sense to buy a shirt I won’t wear or will feel self-conscious in.
@joelmw Update: after one washing at 30 degreesC (warm cycle), the shirt shrank a bit. I’d size up in the future, along I can’t since I’ve got the largest size already.
So according to this week’s IRK rebate rules, even I buy different sizes or different colors, it’s just 1 item?
So even if I buy more shirts (I don’t need) I get no closer to my 0.01 IRK?
@Benjamax@Kyeh
YES, something is going on and it’s with /giphy too! Earlier, I must’ve scrolled through at least 25 different options, having to delete and start over many times because of time, and 99% of them were like that one or cartoonish. I almost gave up!
@Lynnerizer So my shirt arrived. I usually wear a women’s M, and I ordered the M for this. It fits pretty well even though it’s unisex sizing.
What I DON’T like though is the fabric. The cotton/poly blend is hot and kind of scratchy, especially compared to the cotton ones they sold in the past. Also the fabric looks really thin, so probably isn’t going to hold up for very many washings. I won’t buy these again.
@Kyeh@Yoda_Daenerys
Yes, I agree! I remember getting two different colors (black and dark grey) several years ago and what a difference there was between them! The black one was thin and yucky looking, like it was going to pill before it even went into the wash! The dark grey was really nice, thicker and it had a beautiful hand, smooth and soft. Ever since then I always ordered the dark grey from Meh, but never the heathered ones because they have the dreaded polyester. 🩶
@Lynnerizer@Yoda_Daenerys Well, I washed the shirt and it seems a bit better - but it’s also quite a cool day so I’m not bothered by it being hot. I’m curious whether the other, non-heather colors are like. @Italianscallion, you got a gray one and black one - do you think they feel different?
@Kyeh@Lynnerizer@Yoda_Daenerys I’ve only received the long-sleeve black one. It’s definitely not as a soft as other t-shirts I have, but I haven’t washed it yet.
So… I took it out of the package, unwrapped it, put it on, and went to Trader Joe’s to do some grocery shopping. Finished, got in the checkout line, and a couple minutes later, I hear a “Hey!” from a woman in line. She was wearing a well-worn Meh t-shirt she said she got years ago! It definitely wasn’t a meh shopping trip for me.
@ItalianScallion@Kyeh@Yoda_Daenerys
You could always wear a nice cotton turtle neck underneath your T-shirt. That would not only feel so good against your skin but it would look and feel so comfortable/warm and cozy!
@ItalianScallion@Kyeh@Lynnerizer@Yoda_Daenerys At least it was a different design. Many years back at an Ikea, I happened to cross paths with a complete stranger wearing the very same shirt.woot design. That felt … awkward. “Nice design!”, a quick laugh, and that was that.
@Yoda_Daenerys @narfcake I’ve never understood why people are embarrassed to be wearing the same thing as someone else in a casual setting - I think it’s funny. At a formal occasion, yeah - that would be weird. @ItalianScallion - How cool! Were you both using Meh bags for your groceries too? @Lynnerizer - Yes, mine is loose enough that I could put a thin turtleneck under it, I might try that.
@ItalianScallion@Kyeh@narfcake@Yoda_Daenerys
I know my sister (3.5 years older) would have a whole conniption fit if for some reason I was wearing the same thing as she was! I think it’s kinda cute when sisters dress alike. Well, when they’re like FIVE years old!
@ItalianScallion@Lynnerizer@narfcake@Yoda_Daenerys There were some twin ladies who worked where I did; they’d been there for years and years, and they always wore similar outfits, just in different colors. So one in a light blue sweater, and the other in the same sweater but in yellow. And it confounded people a lot. They’d see one of them on the first floor and then see the other on the third floor and wonder how that lady got up the stairs so much faster without them seeing them!
@Kyeh@Lynnerizer@narfcake@Yoda_Daenerys First, the woman’s Meh shirt had the same design as the ones that were just up for sale.
Second, neither of us had Meh bags. I don’t why I didn’t think of bringing them with me. Duh.
@Kyeh@Lynnerizer@narfcake@Yoda_Daenerys Just a quick mention that I got my short sleeved t-shirt today. It’s just as not-soft as the long sleeved one. Also just as thin as the LS one. FYI, there’s no brand name on the collar label of either one, only “Meh”, the size, and “Made in Pakistan”.
@Lynnerizer@narfcake@Yoda_Daenerys @ItalianScallion Do either of your shirts have the odd little loop at the neckline that @cinoclav pointed out?
Disappointing for sure that the fabric is so thin and rough. I have sheets from Target that were made in Pakistan and they’re lovely!
@cinoclav@Kyeh@Lynnerizer@narfcake@Yoda_Daenerys Yes on the little loop! I just looked at both of the shirts and discovered the loops. What a mystery! Like @cinoclav said, they’re too small to use to hang them, so what are they for?
@cinoclav@Kyeh@Lynnerizer@narfcake@Yoda_Daenerys
Thanks. Makes sense. It’s a temporary pre-sale use, kind of like that “mysterious” hidden hook on cars that’s accessible behind a small cover on the front bumper. It has a use only for a while and not to the end consumer. (I read that the hook is for assembly line movement.)
@ItalianScallion@Kyeh@Lynnerizer@narfcake
Actually, that hidden hook on a car is a tow hook. In case your car needs to be pulled from somewhere, you can screw a large eye hook into it and a line can be attached to it. Pray you never need to use it because your car is likely trashed and so are you.
I miss the day when the Meh t-shirts were quality shirts not this see through crap that they sell now. I wish you would get better quality t-shirts even if you have to raise the price slightly. But my days of rolling the dice on these are over unless I hear that something changed and the quality vastly improves.
@Clark Agreed. And my short-sleeved one shrank a bit even though I followed the washing instructions: 30 degC water and low tumble dry. Still not soft, either.
Seem to be very low quality. I can see light through both sides when holding it up. I’ll see what they look like after washing, but they already look too short before any shrinkage…
Took out of the bag, washed it, and the bottom hem stitch started to unravel, leaving a 3 inch section hanging loose. (Luckily my wife can sew it right back up…but I mean…maybe pick a different base shirt next time?)
I wore this for the first time today. Punk kid pointed and laughed at (I’m assuming) the loose threads under the arm pit and at the neck. I shouted at him and gave chase. Then, the crossing guard stopped me so I raised my arms/hands a little to show I was no threat which exposed the happy trail on my gut because the shirt is too short. Now, all the kids and PTO moms in the car dropoff line were laughing. The resource officer showed up, but let me go with a warning. “Being seen in that shirt is punishment enough”, he said.

@heartny Yeah, what a surprise!
Any idea if this run small?
oooooh… long sleeve.

/giphy versatile-frigid-animal
@RogerWilco …and for same price!
@pmarin @RogerWilco I ordered two!
These shirts lack a cat.
@narfcake Get the white one and a sharpie
@heartny Sharpies are for coloring speakers.

Dang is that it for the meh-rathon?
@dekkiller93 you don’t have to go home but you can’t stay here.
(you can stay here.)
@dekkiller93 @jouest there was a scene in old Home Improvement where Tim’s friend Al said
As much as I’d like to stay, I’d like to go even more.
@dekkiller93 @pmarin that seems kind of savage for Al, I’m impressed
Should I use one of my coupons on this?
@FreePasta Ask the 8ball.
/8ball
Yes definitely
What happened to the color ones???
Sooooo, sizing?
@mossygreen That’s what I’d like to know too.
@Kyeh @mossygreen I went a couple sizes up to be safe. I can always roll up the sleeves.
@Kyeh @mossygreen @sammydog01 Sizing was spot on for me. I take a 3XL in most shirts and my long-sleeved black Meh t-shirt in 3XL fit me as well as most of my other t-shirts in the same size.

3XL, especially a vague 3XL, doesn’t fit everybody.
@joelmw Not sure what a vague 3XL is, but I’m hoping it fits me!
@joelmw Update: it fits well.
@ItalianScallion I’m genuinely glad it did.
I had pretty good luck with 4XL (which they offered for a while; not sure what happened there), whereas most of my meh 3XLs are too short for my tastes.

Long sleeve you say…

Not available in Georgia Red this time 'round?
@DustyCartridge Hey, at least I could make a margarita while wearing one of these!
My favorite shirts to wear to work!
@wingsgirl26 good for employee performance reviews.
Dozed off while reading the comments and woke up at 12:01! No Meh shirts for us today!
@Lynnerizer I bet they’ll be back - and by then those of us who got them can let you know how the sizes run.
@Lynnerizer So my shirt arrived. I usually wear a women’s M, and I ordered the M for this. It fits pretty well even though it’s unisex sizing.
