Membership, is it taxed?
1Noticed my membership charge went up, and trying to figure out why it’s exactly how much it is. I do see that it’s now $8.99 monthly, and honestly I haven’t ordered anything since February, so… not such a good deal.
But, is meh charging a processing fee, or sales tax, or what?
I am being charged an even $10.
I seem to be being charged more than the local tax rate.

This is not a definitive answer; I am not an authority, but…
Whether something like a membership fee is taxed, and by how much, can be variable not just by state but by county, city, special taxing district, and other factors that I would have no clue about. Sales & use tax is one of the most infuriating subjects in online commerce.
