@baqui63 No no no. Look at the next picture in the list. HE’S GONE. It’s not actually a shower head. It’s a matter transmitter. What you should be asking, is why is he going to work in his sweats?!?!? Maybe it’s casual Friday, but I’m not so sure.
@katbyter Pressure isn’t really the problem, I just think the settings are poorly conceived. One is literally just a mist that feels cold no matter what temp your shower is. Would be better used as part of a slip 'n slide.
@1waffles@katbyter You need to turn up the temperature on your water heater. Unless maybe you have a small (or not-so-small) kid turning on the water 100% from the hot side.
@ericinmke
Yes, according to Amazon reviews, it’s pretty much entirely plastic. Another review mentioned it is difficult to clean the nozzles because the head can’t be disassembled to clear hard water mineral blockage.
I accidentally hit meh. Can you fix that? I hate to ruin my streak of non meh…
I literally just clicked on the forum to say thank you, I keep forgetting to take the shower head off for a vinegar soak after showers. There are a bunch ports blocked.
Appreciate the attention to detail of things you can not know meh.
@Lynnerizer it has a metal adapter between the pipe and the plastic head and a rubber washer. so it just spins right off. No issues with pipe tape/dope.
And it’s about the perfect size for a Corelle bowl. Done this before. Several times.
Kinda like a hose adapter. But that would be a pretty good idea if you didn’t want to mess with the pipe tape on an older one. Not sure I would have thought of that/storing for later. Thanks
Granted I put it in and tape wrap is minor. And it’s designed to go straight to the shower pipe anyway without it. Either way it still spins off and on.
This i have no comment on. I just liked that men reminded me I’d forget to clear it
I think the NBA puns would have hit better if they were based on teams rather than individual players. I’m not good enough at sportsball to recognize any of the names!
@rob55431 About the gpm: We have a different brand of this sort of long hose/adjustable spray/1.5 gpm shower head, and at no setting does it dribble, while some are straight up water massage. The low-flow shower head at my dad’s house—desert climate, RIGID water restrictions—feels like it could peel your skin off. The engineering design of the shower head and the mineralization inside your home’s plumbing has as much to do with it as the gpm. (For that matter, the sprayer setting on our kitchen faucet has also been known to drench the unsuspecting guest who helpfully washes a dish without warning.)
I purchased one the last time meh was selling them. I used it one time. Very weak flow, and as others have stated, the mist settings make the water very cool by the time it reaches the skin. If you like a warm/hot shower with a decent amount of water pressure, look elsewhere.
@JazzyJosh I bought this. My family loathes this thing. It’s too short so I have to stoop to wash (6’1"). It’s missing lots of settings my family seems to prefer. The head itself is unwieldy.
I love that stupid mist setting, though. I’m going to replace this stupid shower head at my family’s request but I want to find a better one that does the mist thing.
@sigwinch You can get a pipe extension that’ll raise the head of the pipe up a good distance, assuming your ceiling clearance has room. I bought one that has a a pivot to make the height adjustable, but it feels sketchy-- I’m afraid ot overtighten the pivot, but if I don’t get it good and tight, and sometimes if I do, the water-hammer will eventually cause it to loosen, meanign the showerhead will suddenly swing down when you turn the water on one day.
@JazzyJosh@Sunburn If you add another rubber washer, you can tighten it further without having to worry about overtightening. That’s the setup I have on mine.
As for the showerhead itself, the biggest problem is that it’s huge. The handle part is too long and if it knocks against the wall or something it will pop off the magnet and come flying down. Heaven help you if you have a shelf that hangs from your shower neck thing. The size of the head means the spray, if centered in the shower, goes outside of the tub when turned on (aka onto you). If I didn’t have the extension, I assume it would be bumping into the wall all the time.
The spray settings are fine, not as many as I would like, but fine. I actually really like the heavier sorta misty setting. You may loose some of the heat because of the size of the droplet but I don’t think it’s much in my bathroom. Instead, I think it feels cooler because the droplets spread around your skin more and distribute the heat more widely. I feel like I get warmer than with the old showerhead.
But, if you asked someone else in my family, they might answer differently.
@JazzyJosh@otherstalin
That’s good advice. I’ve already made my trips to the hardware store for this weekend, but I’ll keep that in mind for next. Thanks!
I posted before about this. A recap: Designed for low flow (whether eco or $) - tiny hot droplets and one high-pressure mode. Expect to turn up your heat a little. Great for long soaks with less guilt. Google “nebia” for product details, especially in their Kickstarters.
But I suddenly have need for replacement showerheads and the sale’s not closed, so I guess I didn’t miss it too badly? Might gamble on waiting a few hours in case it shows up in the meh-rathon, though…
I know I am in the minority here, but I like this shower head. I am prone to taking long showers and I am using about half the water I was with my previous low flow shower head. Is it perfect, no, is it a decent shower head, yes. I did have a crazy high flow rate low gpm single function shower head that I was a huge fan of, but it had been lost across multiple moves. The 4th (misty) setting seems to do a great job too, but I use it sparingly since it cuts the water temp considerably.

I’m curious why the guy is about to get into the shower fully clothed and with a cup of coffee.
@baqui63 is this not how you shower??
@baqui63 No no no. Look at the next picture in the list. HE’S GONE. It’s not actually a shower head. It’s a matter transmitter. What you should be asking, is why is he going to work in his sweats?!?!? Maybe it’s casual Friday, but I’m not so sure.
My wife stays in the shower too long. Will this help?
@Num1Zero I bought one of these last time and find all 4 spray settings to be lame, so yeah it might actually help.
@1waffles Because it’s using half the water?
@katbyter Pressure isn’t really the problem, I just think the settings are poorly conceived. One is literally just a mist that feels cold no matter what temp your shower is. Would be better used as part of a slip 'n slide.

It doesn’t have a shut off setting if you like to conserve water while soaping up. FYI
/showme woman dissatisfied with the 4 spray settings on the showerhead
@mediocrebot I love how it almost got it until it made her into Elastigirl
@mediocrebot Huh? Showers and fully clothed people. Am I in a Spock-with-beard parallel universe where people do this?
@mediocrebot Pretty sure I know her.
Is the head made from plastic? It sure looks like it’s made from plastic.
@ericinmke
Yes, according to Amazon reviews, it’s pretty much entirely plastic. Another review mentioned it is difficult to clean the nozzles because the head can’t be disassembled to clear hard water mineral blockage.
@Christo196 @ericinmke Huh? The nozzles are all exposed on the front, no disassembly required. But they’re tiny too - so just soak in vinegar.
I accidentally hit meh. Can you fix that? I hate to ruin my streak of non meh…
I literally just clicked on the forum to say thank you, I keep forgetting to take the shower head off for a vinegar soak after showers. There are a bunch ports blocked.

@unksol Couldn’t you just hang a baggie with vinegar around the shower head, that seems so much easier.
@Lynnerizer it has a metal adapter between the pipe and the plastic head and a rubber washer. so it just spins right off. No issues with pipe tape/dope.
And it’s about the perfect size for a Corelle bowl. Done this before. Several times.

I got this last time and it leaks through the point where the cord meets the shower head.
@pjlukin you could probably unscrew it. Let it dry,apply some pipe tape and be good.
I think the NBA puns would have hit better if they were based on teams rather than individual players. I’m not good enough at sportsball to recognize any of the names!
All you need to know is “ 1.5 gpm (5.7 L/min) max” It’s like taking a shower with the same water pressure of a kitchen sink faucet. Hard pass…
@rob55431 YUP its trash, spent $60 on Meh last time and used it one TRASHED it!
@rob55431 absolutely not. Do not conflate flow rate with pressure. The pressure indicates whether it will feel like a kitchen sink or not.

@ampersandranch
I’d love to know the brand your dad has. We really could use a more forceful shower at times. Does it have a massage feature too?
Is this actually any good people who bought it?
@JazzyJosh it’s fine. It’s underwhelming in every way, but better for me than the cracked and leaking one it replaced.
@JazzyJosh

$40
I would have bought it if it was the robot shower head
@bunneetoo I like that too.
No Georgia Red. . . for that alone, meh.
Although, Kentavious Caldwell Pope was a DGD.
The AI art thing feels lazy. I miss my poorly photoshopped image.
Mine never leaked, but second all pressure and temperature comments.
Magnetic means it can be knocked off.
Nonononono.
Cradle is better.

And a couple things to add:
–
I can’t believe I missed this opportunity to repost my massive info du-I mean, post, from the earlier sale…
But I suddenly have need for replacement showerheads and the sale’s not closed, so I guess I didn’t miss it too badly? Might gamble on waiting a few hours in case it shows up in the meh-rathon, though…
No luck. Oh well, in for two more.

@dschonew I think there’s no shame in being in “the minority” as the original target audience for the product.
