Musk Ox Farm: Shoddy Goods 101
0If you could magically domesticate one animal, what would it be? I suppose there’s ‘practical’ answers that would get you the most material output, whether that’s fur or milk or meat or whathaveyou, but I think I’d go for the fun or cute pet angle. Like, if it was 100% domesticated in some friendly, uncruel, totally good way, I’d like a pet fennec fox. (No one should have a pet fennec fox, to be clear.) My dearly departed Da always wanted to discuss starting a controlled breeding program to selectively breed elephants to arrive at a new strain of elephants with a diminutive size- to the point where their footprint would be about marshmallow-size.
Given their starting size, intelligence, and prolonged gestation period, I always thought it might be a tad unrealistic.
