PHIP (parrotheads in Paradise) recently had a get together in Orange Beach at the Hangout. Had a bunch of singers doing tribute songs for Jimmy Buffett. Had a blast!
Don’t hate, I’m probably gonna be more wordy than usual.
I liked/LOVED the kind of golf my dad played his entire life! Regular real golf with little white balls being hit with a club and then chased around until you’re able to sink it into the tiny hole! I preferred driving the fun little cart around while doing that much better than walking!
Lots of great memories of beer ball tournaments! As a young kid I got to drive the cart whenever I went with him but it was even more fun during the beer tournament when the guys got their buzz on! Oh yeah what fun times! Vroom Vroom… Lol
My dad usually won, heck, he used to win trophies and merch from the pro shop all the time! He was a terrific golfer and had a 3 handicap most of my life.
He just had his 3rd heavenly birthday on the 10th, I miss him so much!
Wii or disc. I did play proper golf in high school. The Englishman isn’t a fan so it’s been ages but I got a free set of clubs recently so I’m thinking about taking at least the girls down to the driving range.
Golf takes away time from the practice of archery, which is essential to the defense of the realm – what’s that you say, wrong century? Oh, probably Golf With Your Friends or Golf It!, then.
Mk IV. Specifically the R32.
The kind other people participate in.
/showme Real cats dressed up playing Golf
Goofy Golf.
@hchavers So I looked and apparently this is a real place and not some movie place like Big Kahuna Burger.
I don’t really golf. I kind of agree with Mark Twain’s description of golf: “A nice walk . . . spoiled!”
disc
@spacemart yes!!!
No golf.
Cow pasture pool.
Pocket golf. Oh, wait…mini golf was on the list.
You have to get Professor Hackers on the mini golf list
️
Golf of Mexico.
No, wait… Gulf of Mexico.
@chienfou I’m glad we are still calling it the real name.
@Mehlachi
Yep… tho realistically, here in Alabama, the original wording (Golf of Mexico) is the pronunciation you most frequently hear!
@chienfou I miss that golf! Gulf shores, Destin, Navarre etc. Those were the summers of my youth.

Frisbee Golf. With Frisbee’s instead of actual discs.
The kind with no clubs, golf balls or holes, where you walk around a nicely landscaped area on a beautiful day drinking cocktails.
@macromeh sign me up.

@sillyheathen
Still bitter about the Battle of Stirling Bridge, is he??
@chienfou nah. He’s a northern lad from a textile town so he says it’s for posh people.
@sillyheathen
Yeah… It’s not on my ‘things to do’ list either.

Surprised at the no disc/frisbee golf in the poll with this demographic
