(I will say I like it very much, especially for someone who doesn’t cook very much. I use it semi-often, but I’ve probably only used the pressure cooker once or twice.)
I got an email saying I have a lid on the way. I have another unit for which I have not yet started the process. The application is pretty simple but does require a photo of the label on the unit.
Heard about it right after it was announced and applied for the replacement. Got it already and have to say the new lid seems less substantial than the original but the locking mechanism is more robust. The new gasket is a different material and sits strangely but works. I never had issues with the original but have decades of pressure cooking experience, so would never do what caused the problem, namely, trying to open the lid under pressure. There was no outright failure of the old style, just the ability to overcome common sense and force the lid to open under pressure. That’s not an intelligent move with any pressure cooker, including my ancient 50+ year old Presto that I still have. I’ve used my Foodi a lot over the 5 years I’ve had it and think it’s a great tool. The newer models have an all in one lid (pressure and air fry) which seems like a better design but I’m happy to have the new lid for mine and the replacement process was quite simple.
@babakool I had a pressure cooker that got recalled because they marked the fill line too high. Instead of telling everyone to not fill it to the line they sent replacement pots.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@babakool@sammydog01 Insignia? I got one for my brother, and he just got his replacement pot and float valve. It came quite fast. I’m still waiting for the Ninja lid …
@babakool@sammydog01 I gave him the Insignia a while ago but he only started using it this year. So then I had to google the recall because I knew there’d been one but hadn’t bothered since he wasn’t using it. It seems to work well for him.
I received an OP305CO from here quite a while back. I use it a lot. I saw the recall early, I guess Google News knew I had one from searches that I’ve done or something. Anyway, saw the news, filled out the form, had a new lid in like 10 days. Like I said, that was early on, though.
I bought an OP301 off of a meh-rathon deal here two years ago, but a different deal from the one linked upthread. Since this got sold across multiple meh-rathons (and probably on SideDeal as well), I wonder if it would be feasible/useful for Mercatalyst to send an email to everyone who bought one of these with a link to the recall info.
Mmmm, nope? Got a link?

I will note that I acquired a recalled unit here over a year ago, model number OP305CO. It was not under recall at the time.
I… I have one of those

/showme a funny exploding pressure cooker
It has been discussed in this thread:

@Italianscallion applied early and got his replacement already.
I’m still waiting for mine; I guess they got bogged down with all the requests coming in.

@babakool @Kyeh Yep, maybe it came with a new float valve, I don’t remember. It was quite a while ago. (Also I tossed it since I have a foodie now.)

@Kyeh I really liked mine and it was super cheap. But I had a separate air fryer and it was a pain to store.
@sammydog01 Good choice. He already had the flat Ninja air fryer toaster oven (which he uses probably every day!) so the Insignia was fine for him.

@dave Feasibility check here?
We were able to email out recall notices.
I finally got an email that says the replacement lid’s on its way.
