But when’s the last time you took a pass on a purchase and later regretted missing the opportunity, here or otherwise.
(Yes, ignoring your deadbeat brother-in-law telling you to buy Bitcoin in 2015 definitely counts.)

Just something silly.
The 2016 limited edition Hot Wheels Leonard Nimoy in character as Spock leaning on his Buick Riveria.
It was $20 at SDCC 2016, but instantly sold out. The Ebay scalper price was $60, which seemed silly for a Hot Wheels. Now it’s $1-200.
Meh.

A particular deck of Bicycle playing cards from a Kickstarter about 13 years ago.
Sale price then = $16 per deck.
Sale price the only time I saw one on Ebay = $500
And yes, that was for a completed auction and not just someone’s wishful thinking.

@jouest Most of the Bicycle branded decks printed through Kickstarter are very limited production runs. 2500 decks or less. If the collectors really want a specific deck the prices can get crazy.
The most I ever got for a deck in my collection was $50 but I haven’t tried selling anything recently so who knows what I can get for some of them now.

@jouest No. Individual artists crowdsource their own designs. Your artwork has to be approved by Bicycle to be printed.

@brainmist Finally found it. The Bicycle branded vertical deck is the one that I saw for $500. It is very rare for the Bicycle logo to be printed vertically and this was a very limited print run.

I eventually stopped doing decks after being burned by the Asylum thing (and Kickstarter entirely after a few clearly misrepresented campaigns failed to deliver).
1978 Honda CBX 1000. That engine!
But then again, the engine was really the only reason to own it. I bought the Suzuki GS1000E instead, and it was a better bike in almost every way. And I kept it for 13 years.
But I still love that crazy six cylinder.

This luggage from Morningsave. It is perfect. I didn’t have the money at the time. Now that it sold out I’m crying over it. Realized I should have charged it.
Here’s the salt in the wound: I have looked all over the internet for it. Including eBay! Sidedeal sold 2 on ebay for 249.99. But they don’t have any more. I even emailed morningsave and asked for a returned one, even defective, they’ve got none.
That’s my latest, fresh, and still aching regret.
Although my irk just shipped, maybe I’ll regret that more.

@milstarr I feel like there’s been a lot of luggage in IRKs; maybe you’ll get lucky! And maybe someone who got this in an IRK will set you up!
(I got hardsided luggage, but not this particular set. But I think quite a few sets have gone out)

Yeah it was THAT good of a deal! 
Of course I have no idea what site I was on but I’ll see if I can find it in my history. 
A couple days ago I saw some hard sided luggage at a super low price. I even thought of a few people here that were waiting for the IRK gods to shine down upon them and thought about sending someone a surprise package.

@milstarr!!! Did you today’s Morningsave deal? It’s not that same brand, but it looks similar to me … ? Oh, actually they have 8 different sets; one is Solight but a different style and only in black.
@brainmist @Kyeh @Lynnerizer Thank you for showing me. I look at both sidedeal and morningsave every night after I click meh. They do look the same but the difference that is so important to me is the way they pack. You know how old softside luggage packed, pull up the side stuff it all in and zip it. Well that’s what I need. The “clamshell” hard suitcases pack half on one side and half on the other. Then you have to lift and heave the one side on top of the other to zip it. That gets too heavy and awkward for this 5 foot nothing tall lass. I’ll post a photo of the inside of the solite sydney. That’s the best way to show it.

SWMBO has been eyeing that style as well… not for the weight but because a lot of the time it’s hard to find a flat surface wide enough to open the whole suitcase. Though TBH she went to a hard side because it was divided, therefore easy to organize.

At first I couldn’t decide on color but then decided dark blue. Bought it and it was the only color available. Went back to look at all of the pictures (and I’ll admit it cry a few happy tears) and it was sold out.! I got my luggage my perfect luggage. No more regrets.

YES! I still can’t believe it. I check side deal and morningsave every day. Sometimes a few times. It was there today. I bought it so fast! And I immediately went back to the page to cry over the photos and it was sold out! They had one and I got it!

Obvi, a whole lot of tech stock. But also the silly little bento-ramen heater thing. It was so dumb and I didn’t need it and it was a waste of space but I’m still a little sad.

@brainmist years ago, I bought shares in perot systems the day it went ipo. Sat on it for years and it did nothing. I think the dividends were a pittance. Got fed up one day and dumped it. A few months later, they were acquired by Dell. I would have gotten double what I sold it for.
This right hand drive mini that is nearby. I really want to restore one myself but it’s going to be some time before I can dedicate enough time to that. I just dream and sigh because she would be so much fun to drive on the mountain.

With the football season approaching was on the fence about purchasing “Sunday Ticket” since they raised full price to $ 480.00. Since some minimal discounts they have been offering but not enough to pull the trigger. After I saw this thread, got an e-mail from Verizon about a $ 200 discount for new or existing customers so went ahead and ordered it.

Apple stock back when I bought a 128K mac (the other choices were an IBM PC junior and an Apple 2e. It was around 8 cents a share and I contemplated buying $100 of stock and didn’t. Too bad so sad. It closed at 224.90 today. So it would would be worth around $281,125 right now. Of course if I had done that then if I was selling now capital gains tax would kill me.

A winning lottery ticket. Like for the drawing tonight? That jackpot is something like 750M. I know I didn’t buy the winning ticket as I didn’t buy one. Now if someone on here wants to buy me one I wouldn’t complain. Or a bunch of Trader Joes pound plus milk chocolate bars (no Trader Joes anywhere near me and I have one candy bar left). That would be good too. Then, at least, I’d be guaranteed to win.
PS Opps I forgot the regret. I regret I didn’t buy more when I was in Houston at MD Anderson Cancer Center in June.

@ironcheftoni Except for the fact that shipping it in this heat I’d end up with melted chocolate bars (I live in an apartment building so it wouldn’t sit outside here but I am sure the trucks they are shipped in get hot inside). I’d be more than willing to reimburse someone for sending me pound plus milk chocolate bars.

@ironcheftoni So you interested in a trade of some kind with this (and mine are boxes not cases)? My cats like these but are more pate kitties than shreds which this is (if they loved it I’d do without a trade). They tend to only lick shreds. I have to break it into really small pieces for them. Heaven help them if they were in the wild with no human to break apart birds and squirrels so they could eat (which is also why they are indoor kitties - save the outdoor critters)

@ironcheftoni @Kyeh I was on the fence big time. Mine is on the underside of my toe and about 1/4 of an inch in size. Putting it there means it should wear off in time as well (oh well good bye irks then I guess). Plus I won’t have much ink to migrate into my lymph nodes like the ink has been documented to do with uncertain long term health effects. Not to mention I don’t need anything else in my lymph nodes since I have one of the incurable non-hodgkin’s lymphomas which means I already have cancer in mine.

Well, at the risk of being disowned by my mom, I’d NEED that little bit of insensitive with the free IRK! My mom has always had BIG TIME issues with tattoos, just looking at them she actually has visceral reaction!
More of the filet cat food. My mom’s cats really like it. Their afternoon snack of a filet each gets them out of hiding and adjusting to their new home better. I think I have two cases left.

Might still happen but for now cooler heads have prevailed. We have a ton of travel booked and will be in the Turks & Caicos in Jan… Still, I’d LOVE to see that.
