Oh wow that’s gorgeous! I love the design! I did one mural in my lifetime and it was harder than I expected. You’re very talented! Thanks for sharing!

@madamehardy @PhysAssist nah everyone has artistic talent. People just get too caught up with preconceived notions of what art is and how things should look. If art was all “perfect” you wouldn’t have Picasso, or Pollock or some of the crazy conceptual artists.

@Kyeh @Lynnerizer thanks. It’s funny because I sketched it on Procreate with the idea of projecting it on the wall so it would go faster. Then I realized we don’t have a short throw projector so I wound up just getting chalk and drawing the main bits on the wall before starting to paint.

Well is really pretty! I’m betting you get family and friends asking you to do stuff. I know there’s a market in wall murals for nurseries and kids rooms, do you do it professionally?

@Kyeh @Lynnerizer sort of. I’ve done large canvases and a few murals in the kids’ rooms. I did an anime that’s mostly jujutsu kaisen in my son’s. My youngest wanted a tree house bed so I built a raised bed that mimics a tree house and painted Mt hood and Mt st Helen’s as well as a bunch of forest. She also has a hammock hung under her bed which she sleeps in for the most part.

I’m starting to open this up as an avenue but have just been focused on finishing this shop so I can get back to the woodworking and lasers. I want to start making more furniture and incorporating stained glass into pieces that can be illuminated. And lasers of course.

Oh wow that all sounds so cool! I’m imagining how good your house must look! Do you have a YouTube channel where you show everything or is that not your thing… Good luck with finishing the shop, sounds like a intense project. You’re going to have so much fun with the stained glass and lasers! Many years ago I really enjoyed doing stained glass.

@Kyeh @Lynnerizer @PooltoyWolf she really does. We’re big on all things wilderness and hiking. She read the Call of the Wild a few years ago and fell in love with the book. We’re a big dog family and she has been particularly fond of wolves since she read London’s book.

Wouldn’t most dogs just knock this over and try to gnaw it open to get all the treats?

I have a very weird chocolate lab who has inexplicable respect for boundaries. Her two favorite things are apples and peanut butter. I could make a plate of both and sit on the floor with the plate and leave the room and she wouldn’t touch them. Luna is a weirdo, but a very good girl

@capnjb Very polite dog, wow! My cat is quite polite but not that much so. He’s very proper if I’m around but I’ve caught him jumping up to perch on the edge of the sink where he’s not allowed, to drink “exotic water” sitting in a pan (cats love water from any source other than their water bowls, for some reason!)
