@k4evryng I saw a comment somewhere saying that if they’d just smiled and kept their cool it probably wouldn’t have gotten much traction, but their reaction guaranteed that the whole world saw it! Karma!
@k4evryng@Kyeh I don’t know about that. If they were 2 “friendly” neighbors from down the street, then maybe yes. I don’t know how big a company it is, but the chances of someone watching and going “Hey, that’s our CEO!” And in response someone would answer “…and that’s our HR manager?” seems pretty high.
Even before viral social media, someone would say “we should report this to H.R.!”
Oh, wait…
@k4evryng@pmarin Maybe, but it probably wouldn’t have been viewed by the entire world and spoofed … I’d never heard of that company before. One thing I found strange was that the spouses look a lot like the cheaters, from the pictures I’ve seen.
@k4evryng@Kyeh well, you dug deeper than me, then. I didn’t research pictures of their spouses, but I suppose so. But that was my other point is that in the “old days” a scandal (if this IS one) would have to make the reputable papers, or the tabloids. Very slim % chance of some little dalliance making it that far. But in the 40s-60s how often would you find a woman as a head of Human Resources? (Then called Personnel, now called people department, not sure any term is less tolerable)
@k4evryng@pmarin Yes, and my point was that if they’d managed to keep their cool there’s a chance that nobody would have caught it, because I don’t think that concert was being shown outside the actual venue. But … dumb to be canoodling in public if you’re bigshots, for sure.
Love it.
Omg…this is so great!
Love my hometown Philly Phanatic!!
And the guy with the sign was perfect!
Both of those other assholes got exactly what they deserved in my opinion.
I feel so sorry for their spouses though…
