Similar misters are great when you are in extreme heat.
We had some for the Hospitality area with the racecar team, and they were glorious!
Those had huge fans (maybe 48"), pushed a ton of air, and you were dry and cool before you had a chance to get moist. Moist. What a great word! Moist.
But methinks that you need gallons of distilled water to prevent calcium scale on EVERYTHING!
@Kidsandliz
In the state next door we had a remarkably cool August with several days with highs that didn’t break 80 degrees. That practically unheard of… Until now.
We recently bought this fan for $25 at a retail return auction (with no remote) and we really like it - good air flow, very quiet, rechargeable or plug in, and the table-top mode is nice and easy to use. We don’t have the mister, so I can’t comment on that. Would I buy it again for $50? Probably. For more than that with the mister? Maybe? But while a great fan, especially at our price, its $100+ retail price is pretty ridiculous.
Bought last drop despite the price. Worth. Every. Penny. Brought it on vacation, tailgating, for garage beers. Certified hit and I’m contemplating another…
It’s not clear from the picture, but for this to work with the misting attachment, you need to attach a hose to it. If you don’t have a hose nearby, it ain’t gonna work.
(But if you have a hose and no electricity the misting attachment is still OK).
Can someone at Meh teach the Side Deals write up person the difference between horizontal and vertical. Vertical tower is what the deal should say… Not horizontal tower. Yes it can go horizontal, but in the way it is being described, it should be “vertical tower”.

Whoa!!
Did they have to go thru the Carousel like in Logan’s Run??
It’s always hot when your version of a comfortable night of sleep requires a blanket and comforter.

Around here it is still VERY hot. And humid. But I have A/C and live in an apartment with no balcony so there is no need for a fan like this here.

“Hey, watch where you’re pointing that fan mister!”
@El_Oel Only if you watch where you’re pointing that mister fan.
@Trinityscrew 1"That name again, is Mister Fan"
Ooooh a Wirecutter top pick. I’ll bite. https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-cordless-fans/
@aregberg
meh is testing out a new corporate strategy:
Even a blind pig finds an acorn now and then …
End of summer and you still want $80 for a refurbished fan?
@audiocontr I’m glad it’s not $49 or else I’d buy it & hope I’d remember to find it for next summer
$100 new at Costco, and it is the latest model. If this were $55-65, I might consider it.
@user53857659 Costco’s version is the table fan only, no pedestal and no misting attachment
The full pedestal fan was on sale for $100 last week (not sure if it had the mister), but it looks like my local warehouses are sold out of it.
If I were sold out of the fans, @obxer, I’d sell them to you for $29.95!

Priced too high. Bye.

It’s 10am, and apparently it’s still too early. I read that as:
“Missing Attachment”
And thought that was a new low for Meh. Not the missing part, but making it a feature.
Regardless of the overpriced brand (I’m talking 'bout you, Vornado), a fan like this should be no more than $30 on sale. Sorry.
Well, p00p.
I went through a ton of work to make a not very funny image, but it didn’t seem to upload to my reply.
meh.

Costco has a new one for 99.99

@spirit299 It’s both. Scroll further and you’ll see how.
No idea on what movie or show they’re referring to. Anyone know?
/showme a Christopher Walken being blown horizonally by a giant fan
@mediocrebot @luseruser this is one of the more PG-rated interpretations of that prompt
I bought one of these fans a few weeks ago when they were offered…and I LIKE it!!
