I have this exact carrier! I got it 5 years ago at a popular pet store when I was getting ready to pick up a new kitten, and definitely paid close to the suggested retail price. I haven’t used it on an airplane, so can’t speak on that.
It’s held up well for semi-regular use to vet visits. But it’s a tight fit for an athletic 10lb adult cat, he cannot stand up at all and it’s a struggle to turn around. It was especially tight when he had to come home with a cone after surgery. I like that it has 2 zipper sides. The latches are nice too, to attach to carseat hooks.
My main gripe is the padded, quilted mat…there’s no way to attach it to the carrier, so EVERY time I get my cat out, it’s scrunched to one side. Without the mat, it’s just a hard rigid base. Granted, this is my experience with my 5 year old carrier, not sure if they changed this design over the years.
At $29, It’s a decent carrier and would work for smaller ish cats, or cats that are fine with being more confined. It’s nice and dark inside which helps with his anxiety in the car. Hope this helps!

Also! If you get this for a dog it better be a chihuahua or smaller!
They haven’t tried this with either Star or Mamama from our group.
