@ybmuG Actually, this sort of handheld sprayer as a bidet is already in widespread use. It does not have all the functionality of an electrically powered bidet seat with heated water, etc., but it is effective in its primary role of cleaning. It is also inexpensive and without a requirement for a connection to an electrical outlet.
@CANNONFODDER you see, I’m far enough removed from that so it never occurred to me. Now I’m thinking there’s a big market if even only for that purpose
@CANNONFODDER@ybmuG We bought a sprayer that was almost identical for spraying out diapers 10 years ago. Seems like one of those things where they just change the label and suddenly it transforms in purpose.
The one I have cannot contain the full pressure of the water system and leaks like crazy unless you use the diverter to minimize the flow in its direction.
I have one of these - it’s great; sprays wider than the little jet in the bidet, but not difficult to use at all. And useful for cleaning the toilet, too. I have one of the water-saving models and the bowl doesn’t fill up when it flushes, so this helps to rinse out the soap.
@Kyeh Thanks, I think I’ll take a chance on it. I’ve swapped one toilet to a low-flush version already, and the other will get replaced at some point, too. Those sometimes need a little extra wash-down action.

HAND-held bidet? Not that I want a demo video, but I’m having a hard time imagining how this could possibly be a good idea.

@ybmuG Baby diapers and toddler underwear.

@ybmuG put your garden hose in your pants and turn it on. Oh yeah!

Is the hose armored enough to keep cats from biting holes in it?
@werehatrack Yes, I’m pretty sure it is, although my cat hasn’t tried that. And I don’t have this brand but it looks pretty similar.

@werehatrack Even if you only use it to clean the toilet, this is a terrific price - I paid more than 2x as much for the one I have!
/showme where exactly a bidet sprays
I have no doubt that something remarkably like this may happen when the cats get curious.
/showme what part of human anatomy a bidet sprays
I assume that position is just for illustrative purposes; I would recommend not standing up for that procedure.
