Where I see some similar but not identical stuff is Home Goods. Got some good almost expired Herbal Corn (flavored popcorn from Maine) (I live in California)
I miss Big Lots already! It was where I got all my paper products. Their brand of TP was the same as angel soft.
I’ve gone to a couple of stores that are closing in my area. They do have some small stuff but nothing I noticed in large quantities. There does seem to be a lot of furniture left.
@ironcheftoni around here, it was called Pic’N’Save before BL bought it. I actually went there now and then. Since the buyout, what 30 or so years ago (Don’t remember) I hated it. Most of what was there was total crap. Maybe it changed over the years, doesn’t everything, but you know what they say about first impressions …
I had shopped at Big Lots for MANY years and there has been a noticeable decline in the quality of their offerings, and an associated rise in cost of what’s available, independent of inflation. There’s still good stuff to be had, but not to the same degree as in years past. The last time I went, I did find some ramen I’d never heard of before that I liked…and it was all gone when I went back for more, d’oh! It was called Twisted Noodles, beef flavor. Made in USA, interestingly enough.
@PooltoyWolf they are the best about finding obscure foods. There was a brand of freeze dried fruit I really liked and most recently I found a brand of potato crisps that could only be described as really thin flat pringles.
Did they sell speaker docks and expired food?
@heartny by the bushel!
I’m still trying to figure out if meh gets their stuff from Ollie’s, or if Olle’s gets their stuff from meh.
@Springbank Maybe they both buy from the same trash heap…errrrrr…I mean wholesaler.
@Springbank @yakkoTDI
Tomato tomahto
Probably. It was just strange seeing that coffee cold brewer for sale at Ollies a few months after it was on meh the first time. Cheaper too iirc.

I went when they started their sales and bought some kitchen towels bc I needed new ones, I’ll probably go again to see if anything interest me.
