@agnesnutter SL is “speechless,” meaning this model can’t be controlled by voice assistants (and can’t listen to you), but also can’t be tuned with TruePlay.
@werehatrack I have an older (1st gen?) Roku soundbar and wireless woofer and they’re fine, plenty good for the price and anything is an upgrade from TV speakers. Looks like they’re all on sale right now.
@hchavers But is it the right local amount to make carrying on a teleconference impossible? (I have seen the results of a delay in a PA system in an auditorium. Some bright twit thought that they had the ultimate method of defeating feedback loops. They got a different kind of feedback instead.)

(I think SL is “shadow edition” which i assume just denotes the color and not features? correct me if i’m wrong)
Edit: oops, I guess this isn’t a public one. you can’t see the scores (around the mid 7.x range, mostly) but you can still see specs and such

Welp, that’s out of my price range altogether, so I’m glad I don’t need it. (Hey, that means I saved over $300 including sales tax!)

/showme a wireless woofer chasing a cat
@phendrick Here’s the image you requested for “a wireless woofer chasing a cat”
@mediocrebot So literal outranks context?
@phendrick I doubt that the 'bot’s programming is up to the task of inferring from context.
@mediocrebot Beware, 'bot. A real cat would know that a speaker cone shreds very satisfyingly.
The right amount of latency to get the true Chinese translation effect.
