Spring Cleaning meh-ration - March 12 IRK reveal
6Arrived today. Spent just under $130 to get the free IRK. Saved $90 on shipping, though, since I’m a member. It’s like the spouse who says they saved gobs of money because the stuff is on sale.
2 - Bernini Table Guard Fly Fans - goes with the 6 I bought on this meh-rathon
2 - Get Neat with Lisa box organizers
2 - Solid Gold cat food - for the feral cats in the neighborhood to keep the rats out of my house
1 - Aduro U-Stream Selfie Mini with remote
1 - Green IRK bag
Not a killer IRK but still useful, except for the cat food.
Thank you meh.

@rcwbbb I like the green irk bag
I’d say there’s a whole lotta instant regret in that IRK.
@ItalianScallion Agreed. Mine set the bar pretty low. Let’s see if it goes up from here. $50 to play this IRK was pretty steep.
Mine is still in Texas
@pattyrusk1 YAS! Finally made it to California and is scheduled to arrive Monday
@pattyrusk1 Arrived March 24:

2- Canned cat food
1-Dove antiperspirant
1-Green/Yellow IRK bag
1-Dermalactives Firming Serum
1-Crane Hepa Air Purifier
THANKS Meh

All my irks have been major regrets. I’m done. Lol
@oo100

@aetris @oo100
/showme a jar of expired pickled eels
Glad I resisted the urge this time
@tinamarie1974
Yeah right, who am I fooling…
I should find out Monday.

Hopefully that was just the bottom of the barrel, the only dud!!
I didn’t make the same smart decision as you but I’m afraid to speak the words and end up manifesting total regret! With THAT being said… I’m going to get the best IRK ever!
@Lynnerizer

@Lynnerizer @tinamarie1974 Would say “ditto”, but i don’t have that many pairs of fingers.
@Lynnerizer @tinamarie1974

Hopefully you do
My IRK came a day earlier than expected, that was a nice surprise!
My guy was really excited about this IRK for some reason, maybe he thought we were due for something fun and exciting! He actually snuck it past me and opened it before I even realized it had been delivered! He usually just does a quick peek and saves any unwrapping for me.
You know, like a child! Lol
The best thing is usually the IRK bag, (or at least lately it has been) today’s was dark green with yellow. Didn’t disappoint, no regrets there!
This is what I got… Everything was new and unopened!
*Four cans of cat food that I never saw and our guy Tuc wouldn’t even taste it after he got a sniff. No surprise there though since he’s not a fan of any kind of wet cat food. Even tuna, he just snubs his nose and might drink a little of the juice.

*Active Research women’s compression tights, black, in a size medium. Google lens search shows them from $10 to $39. My sister or mom will probably take these, it just depends who they’ll fit.
Now, for the expensive item… Which really doesn’t mean too much. Lol
*PRÉDIRÉ - Paris Non-Surgical Solutions Bio Organica multi purpose touch screen skincare mask. 8 element pro new generation with color LED light, it’s cordless and a limited edition.
Yeah right!
After I research it I’ll decide what I’m gonna do, keep it or gift it. Both my sister and I are at THAT AGE when something like this may be helpful. Or maybe it would’ve been more helpful had we used it in our 40’s, IDK?
I’ll see what I find… Although, we do/did (
) have pretty good genes to start off with.

BrookStone has it listed just under $300, FB has it listed for $1,200 on sale for $600.
If anyone knows anything about this thing, experience with it or anything similar, please feel free to chime in!
I put together a picture with everything except the cat food. Instead, I included the cat.
That picture was taken 15 minutes after he was given that can of cat food to try, and 10 minutes after he calmed down from going crazy and attacking my arm! I didn’t put 2 & 2 together until just now. He was so angry and determined in biting me that I was just about to call my guy for help when he walked thru the door. (I’m dead serious) Tuc hadn’t ever been THAT relentless and obsessed with biting before. Hmm … what’s really in that canned cat food?
Lol… He was ANGRY!
Oh, BTW, I was able to find 5 items I needed (or could gift) and I used my coupons for every one of them. I brought the price of my IRK down by $25.

YAY ME!
Thanks Meh!

@Lynnerizer
I could have done with that back in high school and college. I’d always get quadratic equations stuck to my teeth.
@Lynnerizer @OnionSoup I think I had a calculus remover that removed calculus from my brain after taking it the first time around. Had to take 2 semesters of that class as an undergrad not having pre-calculus nor trigonometry so had a lot to teach myself.
Then a bunch of years later I had to use it in a PhD econ seminar that was mostly proofs using calc. OMG that was torture. Had to reteach myself and was in the undergrad math lab a lot for help. If we could set up the formula they’d help us solve it. On an exam I knew how the proof ended (these were often a page long single spaced on notebook paper proofs). I stole from the cartoon I had seen when I forgot how to do the next math and put, “And a miracle happened here” and then put the final line of the proof. I got a D on that question. That prof had no sense of humor.
I bet you guys think that’s a typo… Right ?
Well, unfortunately I cut off the text from the box in the pic.
@Lynnerizer @OnionSoup I thought it was a pun. Now I know it was made in China with predictable translation results.
@Kidsandliz @OnionSoup
Right!
@Kidsandliz @Lynnerizer I DID think it was a typo or an autocorrect error.
That is so funny!
Maths was one of my favourite subject until I took calculus and I had to take a couple of calculus classes… Calculus made me hate maths. I remember nothing of calculus now other than hating it and the teacher of one class looked like Spock
@Kidsandliz @OnionSoup
I KNEW calculus wasn’t for me so I never put myself in the predicament to hate it or to FAIL trying to figure it out!
IDK if that makes me smart or a coward? Maybe a smart coward… Lol…
@Kidsandliz @Lynnerizer I’d be willing to bet that less than 1% or people who have taken calculus have ever needed to use it after ending the class.
And of that fraction of a percent that have used it. 99% used it because they became maths teachers themselves.
@Kidsandliz @OnionSoup

🟰
That’s a good question… Maybe we should take a poll and see?
How do you get your math on…
@Kidsandliz @Lynnerizer @OnionSoup
Wow! A lot of CDS here!
(calculus derangement syndrome)
@Lynnerizer @OnionSoup I took it as it was required for a biology major. Originally I wanted a PhD in human genetics but I hated chemistry so much that I dropped second semester organic chemistry, which also meant no grad school in genetics as I’d also have needed to take biochem and you need organic for that…
Had an adult told me as a stupid 19 year old to just deal with it, we all have to take classes we hate; then I never would have switched to business for my PhD (my undergrad ended up as general sicence) and so never would have discovered meh when looking for a company case in kickstarter… (uh oh - was this a life changing choice - discovering meh because I hated chemistry?)
My undergrad ended up as general science instead of biology and so was in luck in that classes I had already taken: the engineering seminar science, technology and human values, the physics seminar physics of music classes, and the math seminar history of science and math class, all counted as electives for that major.
Of course what did I do for a living initially? Worked in outdoor adventure in a bunch of different countries because why would I use my major if I could do those fun things? Of course eventually I got tired of low income and went back to school in management and discovered meh. So there you have it.
/eightball is kidsandliz nuts?
My reply is no
@Lynnerizer @OnionSoup HAHA no need to edit that first reply of the eightball
@Lynnerizer @OnionSoup @phendrick Calculus is deranged, not me.
@Kidsandliz @Lynnerizer that’s funny. I was also a biology major in University but switched majors because I hated chemistry and I had to take so many chemistry classes for my biology major.
@Kidsandliz @OnionSoup

Isn’t that wild how one class/subject can change the trajectory of your entire life…
@Kidsandliz @Lynnerizer yes… My goal was to do something with ecology or animals out in the field. Because I hated chemistry so much I switched to Computer Science because I had taken a bunch of computer classes to raise my GPA and it was one of the few majors I could complete in 4 years still.
Chemistry is why I’m now stuck behind a desk every day instead of twirling around on a mountain top while bluebirds brew me a cup of tea and field mice sew my clothes.
@Kidsandliz @OnionSoup
IDK, mountain tops, bluebirds, and field mice sound pretty good to me! Lol
@Kidsandliz @Lynnerizer yes. That was my intended point. I’d much rather be twirling around on a mountain top than sitting behind a desk.
I’m trapped behind a desk because imprisoned shackled by “covalent bonds”
@Lynnerizer @OnionSoup I know. two semesters of inorganic, two semesters of organic and one of biochemistry. I know if I had had to hear about the Krebs cycle one more time and even more detail I would’ve lost my mind. But that actually wasn’t the reason why I couldn’t stand chemistry. Having to draw all those little pictures of the chemical structure of things drove me nuts. I hated it although I could do it.
@Lynnerizer @OnionSoup yes how one class can change everything. All sorts of things. I don’t think we really understand that at 19 or even somewhat older than that. We just don’t think of the long-term consequences of our decision at that age. Our frontal lobe, which is what helps us do that, isn’t even fully developed until we’re 30.
@Lynnerizer
That light mask looks absolutely awesome.
VAN GOGH! MANGO! TANGO! AWESOME!
@Lynnerizer @Star2236 It is definitely a score
@Lynnerizer @OnionSoup
And chemistry is why I spent a number of years doing exactly that (mountains, blue birds and field mice and a lot more)… rather than behind a desk and in the lab doing genetics.
Have not taken a photo yet because I just had hip replacement surgery and bending/moving to set-up items for a picture is not so easy, but, I scored big!
Olympia brand Voyager series 3 PC hard sided luggage in navy blue.
Green IRK bag
10 bags of cherry-lime hydration packs
1 beanie cap
1 new-in-box wireless ear buds
@cbilyak Woohoo! Haven’t you been hoping for some luggage?
Good luck on healing up fast!
@Kyeh I think it is Star that has been wanting luggage, but when we opened it, my husband said he needs luggage so I think we totally won this IRK
and I love the beanie too. So grateful.
@cbilyak Great!
@cbilyak Great score!

Luggage for hubby and a new hip for you, that sounds like you both scored big! Good luck with your new hip!

Wow. Two great IRKs after mine. I want to amend my comments. Spring Cleaning meh-rathon. I got taken to the cleaners.

Mine came today.

1 Cuisinart kitchen scale, which is the same as the one I recently bought here on Meh.
1 winter jacket, size medium (I wear size 2X)
2 cans of cat food, will offer to the farm cat.
1 travel power plug adapter (another thing I bought here recently. Go figure.)
1 green IRK bag
Thanks, Meh.
@Pony
Too bad it’s not in your size.
Funny how you just bought a few of those items, at least you’ll have back up should they break!
Nice! That looks like the short version of the coat I got last year in an IRK, my sister said it’s really warm.
@Lynnerizer I also got a long coat last year- also too small. It fit my best friend, though. I’ll offer this one and the scale to our cleaner, she takes a lot of my unwanted IRK stuff off my hands. The power plug I had bought as a gift for a friend who actually gets to travel. It’s useless to me.
@Pony love the jacket! I’m a medium and I would be interested in it
@pattyrusk1 @Pony Too bad I got a large in the long jacket otherwise you could have had mine.
@Kidsandliz @Pony Thank you
@Kidsandliz @pattyrusk1 @Pony The jacket might run small; I’ve actually gotten 3 jackets over the years and they’ve tended to be a bit tight.
@Kyeh @pattyrusk1 @Pony That is what I was thinking. I briefly tried it on and the arms were tight and I am not overweight. Also while it closed without a struggle there wouldn’t be much room to wear a thick sweater under it if I was cold.
I haven’t posted a pix bc its beyond me, but i spent $50, then bought 6 different items so -$30 and my IRK included the IRK bag, a $39.99 valued SS tea kettle(nice!) 2 cans cat food I can use; a crystal/glass or zirconia necklace. Not bad. I did waste $ on the pineapple & cherry lime drink mix which has heart attack/stroke written all over it=MonkFruit. So some wasted some not. Tea pot is incredible!
Green & gold IRK bag
2 cans cat food
Rechargeable hand warmer
Brookstone wireless charging tree
Size 11 women’s Muk Luks
@CleDvy if those muk luks will end up homeless they would fit @tinamarie1976 if they are true to size or me if they run a bit small (well thick socks would solve that). I wore sandals with socks when it snowed in the snowbelt when I was home visiting in Nov. Posted a photo of that somewhere on meh back then.
I got a size large of that long hooded jacket posted up higher if you want to trade.
Long jacket size L, new with tags
Used colligen LED infrared light mask - sounds dangerous to try it as who knows why it was returned. Someone must think I need help on the vanity front as I got a light laser hair remover thing in my last irk
2 cans of cat food - And they liked it!!! Too bad more probably wont’ be sold if they are showing up in irks.
itech C charger brick 65watts. Unfortunately my computer needs 95 but I’d imagine it would slow charge on 65.
green/yellow irk bag
Thanks meh! Two decent irks in a row after more than a year of trash ones. I might die of shock
@Kidsandliz
Did you try out the hair lazer from your last IRK yet, I’m curious to know how it worked?
Good score!
@Kidsandliz my stray cat who comes around a lot, LOVES that cat food too! Wish I got more than 2 cans. My cat is only able to eat expensive food from the vet or he vomits. He’s very bougie but SO lovable
He doesn’t tolerate other kitties but will tolerate my Boxers, otherwise I would try to catch our stray
At 3 1/2 stars or whatever it was, I don’t think so. Too chicken to try it. Maybe if it had been 4 1/2 stars I might have.
My son wants the luminoodles. Cool, less to take to goodwill. YOU GUYS SENT ME TOYS, I LOVE TOYS. I kept looking at those things and not buying them because I’m an adult. I’ll probably play with them once then donate BUT I HAVE NEW TOYS!
@sammydog01 Those look pretty cute!
@sammydog01 I received these toys too and I gave them to my grandson. He loves them
@pattyrusk1 @sammydog01
I bought those, my nephew liked the dog. I think I still have the horse left.
I originally couldn’t find this thread. so here is my reveal.
NO MORE REVEALS??
Last one was 2 days ago; must be not many were sold or they were just too awful to take the time to post and, in doing so, reveal how foolish they feel for buying one!!
I have so much regret from this one.
One (1) Meh Tote (dark green and easily my favorite thing in the IRK);
One (1) replacement filter for a Cuisinart air purifier. I looked up the air purifier and it’s a thing that’s not allowed to be shipped to the state in which I live, so, if any of you have an air purifier from Cuisinart, let me know and I’ll send it to you;
Two (2) cans of cat food. I do not have cats but I gave it to someone with cats and they fed it to their cats and their cats did not die or get sick so, you know, cool;
One (1) salmon-color throw blanket that I think will fall apart when washed; and
Two (2) tower things that are about 10” tall, with small plastic pieces attached to the top that are supposed to fly around to make a fan or something but, per the note written on the box in which these were packaged, one is broken.
So. Much. Regret.
@natasha_natasha I looked up the things I thought were fans and I learned that they are these things:
Of course, I got two and one is broken so, yeah.
I better post this before another one comes up for sale… I was out of town when I saw a big box get delivered on my doorbell camera.
I had my wife bring it in that night when I was on the phone with her and she was not pleased. The box was huge, had ruptured badly and a seemingly endless supply of Roar cherry limeade powders was flowing from it.
Inside the box:
I’m probably going to hook someone up with some nice luggage soon.
Thanks, Meh!
@djslack contact support for your bag
@Kidsandliz I will do no such thing. They have been more than generous and I already have a plethora of them.
@djslack That actually sounds super epic! Congrats! Hope you enjoy the ROAR. It’s tasty to me and has clean ingredients for sure!
@Bretterson I got the same luggage and earbuds, so thank you for making up for my being lazy and not taking a pic.
I like those gummy bears pretty well. Unfortunately my son doesn’t, though.
Totally forgot to post a picture and my last 2 IRKs!!! I blame pre state testing teacher stress and long Covid brain fog. Not sure which one was for which Meh-ra-thon, as they came pretty close together, but one had the following:
1-super cute orange stand mixer (which I gifted to a friend who has recently taken up baking for her new boo-thing)
3-packages of ROAR water mix packages that I can’t wait to try as I am a little addicted to flavored water,
A blue knit beanieo
1 pair of Bluetooth earbuds which my boyfriend quickly confiscated and confirmed that they are pretty good at noise cancellation.
NOT a bad IRK at all
The other contained:
A multitude of Keychain flashlight fidget thingies
A used and dusty vacuum cleaner which may or may not work, we shall see (maybe)
This one was definitely more regrettable than the other, but still fun nonetheless.
