@blaineg@Cerridwyn That’s going to have to get rebooted yet again now. (I miss Lower Decks already; I really hoped the next iteration, whether it was another 10 episodes or a spin-off, would have really went ham on the alternate realities and how our screwed-up-but-a-little-better quartet of former lower-deckers will have to deal with it.)
Well, I have Paramount plus, (CBS) but since they decided to fire Stephen Colbert, using some nonsense about poor advertising revenue. I bet they didn’t count all the upset consumers that will fire PARAMOUNT Minus…
@Mandamm yes was thinking the same thing. Unfortunately with the scattering of live sports to various “services,” Peacock, Paramount, Apple, Amazon, it’s hard if you are a sports fan without all the services. But Paramount doesn’t have that much.
I am hearing the Colbert thing discussed a lot including “competing” services that used to be ABC and NBC news. One commentator said it will be 10 months unless he decides to go “scorched Earth” and then may disappear sooner. As in maybe really disappear to El Salvador or something.
@Mandamm@pmarin They (Paramount) said ad revenue was down. Well, duh! I’m sure it is down for almost all scripted shows since they offered ad-free streaming at a premium cost. Ad-free streaming > fewer eyes on ads > advertisers not willing to pay as much for ads. Logically, if they have any business sense, they made up for it with the added cost of ad-free streaming. I’ll be cancelling that the morning after the last Late Show airs. ST universe only has SNW left. So, without late-night and Comedy Central (which it looks like they will sell), there’s not much left but reality shows and shoot’em-ups. I’m out in May. I think Colbert will try to keep the show going until then for the sake of the 200 employees who will need to find another job.
So what did you all think about the costuming in that wedding scene.
I’m betting we see that wedding gown in a convention masquerade very soon. (likely not in Seattle because that’s too soon for someone to make that and get it there me thinks, but i can see some of the guest attire, or even Trelane)
Strange New Worlds has consistently been some of the best Star Trek ever.
I have no idea how they made Subspace Rhapsody work so well. One of my favorites!
@blaineg Mine too.
I liked how they did Those Old Scientists as well.
@Cerridwyn T.O.S.
That was a nice touch!
