@werehatrack
I always had people tell me the actual skydive was the best part and the landing is a bit anti-climactic. Of course, if you are referring to a chute failure, you most likely won’t get much info from those folks directly!!
@yakkoTDI I see. I rode my very heavy bike for the first time in a long time about a year ago, and at one point, I turned too sharply and the bike tipped. Luckily I was just getting going from a stop and was next to a grassy patch, and I fell verry slowwly so wasn’t hurt at all. But if anyone saw me I probably looked ridiculous! Also it bent something that then screeched all the way home.
And the Texas humidity sometimes falls below 99% in October. So autumn is a good event here.
Some Texas summers are dry.
Those are drought summers. Those come with temps closer to Phoenix AZ levels, and also with watering bans and lots of dying trees.
So those summers are worse.
Hitting the ground.
@yakkoTDI
When you’ve taken stock and find you can get back up.
@yakkoTDI I speak from experience that the part before is infinitely better.
@macromeh Particularly if you’re skydiving. Or so I’m told.

@yakkoTDI Really? Haven’t you talked about falling off your bike & breaking your leg? Seems like not hitting the ground would have been better…
@Kyeh Hitting the ground was fine. It was when I started to roll that the leg trapped under the bike had issues.

Sweatshirts
@j2 I get more excited seeing a woman in a nice sweater or turtleneck than I do lingerie haha.
The best part of fall is that it’s not summer anymore. (In Texas, this is an improvement.)
@werehatrack Same here in AZ. The best part of fall is it’s not 110°F anymore!
The changing colors and pumpkin everything are a nice bonus.

Worker’s comp
Thanksgiving
Less bugs
Planes, Trains and Automobiles
Running in temps in the 40s-50s.
@kittykat9180 Replace running with cycling and I agree.
People dressing a bit more appropriately.
/giphy old man yelling at clouds

@njfan do people not dress appropriately for summer?
@kittykat9180 some people do. While I understand it’s a fashion trend, I’m not sure crop tops are for everyone or every occasion.
/image crop top

@kittykat9180 @njfan Crop tops and tube tops really look bad on me.
@njfan crop tops seem appropriate for summer.
@kittykat9180 I respectfully disagree.
/giphy nuh-uh

@kittykat9180 @yakkoTDI they don’t work for everyone.
@njfan @yakkoTDI regardless of your personal opinion on somebody else’s body, they are inappropriate clothing choice for hot weather.
@kittykat9180
…there… FIFY.
ALL of the above!! Just not sooo much pumpkin spice in/on everything, please!
