@jouest if Die Hard is a Christmas movie than Lethal Weapon is one too (more Xmas stuff in LW than DH) and you never hear lethal weapon called a Christmas movie! There again you don’t really hear about LW anymore since Mel Gibson came out as a massive racist.
Not that LW being a Xmas movie matters because DH is the better movie of the two.
This movie is atrocious and I love watching it every year. I always forget the name, but if you google “worst Christmas movie of all time” it’ll always be in the mix.
I love Christmas family vacation and the ref, I always make a point to watch them this time of year. I just watched the original frosty the snowman last night and boy did that bring back memories of childhood. I also love its a wonderful life, it was my dads favorite Christmas movie and we always watched it as a family.
They were frequently aired on TV during Christmas and were set around the season before the likes of Lethal Weapon, Batman Returns, and Home Alone would come along.
@pakopako Went out for a late dinner last night and Trading Places was on at the diner, muted. Watched the whole thing anyway because it turns out I know the lines by heart at this point. How the hell was Murphy at that level of brilliance at just 22?!
There are so many!
Scrooged was probably the first “inappropriate” Christmas film I was allowed to watch. Mom thought it was actually Charles Dickens. I thought it was hilarious because she wouldn’t let me watch Christmas Vacation at that point. She was slightly mortified when she realized how not kid friendly it was.
The List
Die Hard 1&2
Lethal Weapon 1&2
Christmas Story
Scrooged
Family Stone
Elf
The grinch - animated
Trains, Planes and Automobiles
Love Actually
Violent Night
Christmas with the Kranks
The Santa Clause
Polar Express
Christmas Vacation
Rudolph the red nosed reindeer
Harry Potter marathon
Home Alone 1&2 - got to sit on those rocks in Central Park with my best friend in April. It was amazing.
Charlie Brown Christmas
Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Christmas
Muppets Christmas Carol
@sillyheathen Because my mom hated the cold of Ohio and I got hatched here. I did almost move to the Seattle area about 15 years ago so it is not like I am necessarily stuck here for life.
Don’t say it…
@jouest So I guess you will be heading down here on Friday?

I still like rewatching Trading Places.

@yakkoTDI why do you have to be all the way over there?!?!
@sillyheathen Because my mom hated the cold of Ohio and I got hatched here. I did almost move to the Seattle area about 15 years ago so it is not like I am necessarily stuck here for life.
