@ItalianScallion@jouest back before I retired, having a Friday off meant the work had to be done either the 4 days before the week after so it never felt like a holiday
@Cerridwyn, that’s usually the case for me. I don’t focus on what day of the week it is, but rather what day it is with regards to regular workouts and lessons (Italian, voice, and guitar). When I don’t have these to anchor me to a day, then things can go a little haywire… like this weekend. I thought yesterday was Saturday which was the day I was going to the Longfellow House in Cambridge to meet General and Mrs. Washington, their temporary headquarters and residence as the War of Independence broke out. I did have a lovely time listening to stories from the missus. The General, however, was far too occupied to make the acquaintance of a retired militia private such as I, especially since I was not dressed appropriately for the occasion (too hot to wear my 18th c. clothes).
@jouest, you just said it all. It’s like jet lag. (day lag?)
@ItalianScallion I just know that office types will spend the next three weeks talking about how this Friday off set them back a month and a half…

@Cerridwyn @ItalianScallion yeah same. (even around here…the daily deals must flow…)
Nah
@Cerridwyn impressive.
@jouest day is a day is a day is a day

@Cerridwyn @ItalianScallion @jouest
Wrong day? Or wrong century?
@Cerridwyn @jouest @Kyeh Oh. I have to think about that.
Thursday definitely felt like a Friday – until checkout at a thrift store I frequent. Normally on Friday evenings, they have an extra 20% off.
Today is Caturday, and at least it feels like a Caturday, so it’s not all off.
@narfcake marking time by thrift store incentives and cat recognition seem like signs of a life well lived
I’m unemployed currently. I have trouble figuring out what month it is.
I also don’t wear socks very often. That might be related
@capnjb i honestly can’t remember the last time i wore socks
hmmm
well, i think it was Koroneburg 2024, but i could be wrong
@Cerridwyn 2024 was a good year for socks.
@capnjb Hint: it is now July - time to put on fresh socks.
@macromeh July when?
