Apparently, it has “three heat settings” if you consider “No added heat” as one of them. Whatevs, a 750W/375W small space heater is useful for us, and $20 is acceptable as a cost.
Note that unlike full-sized 1500W heaters, this personal heater uses 750 watts on its high setting and 375 watts on its low setting. Put this at your feet while sitting at your desk or watching TV, turn down your furnace and you’ll save significantly on your heating bill.
@ellett Can confirm. At least a decade ago, I discovered that a small 500W forced-air heater in the bedroom at night allowed the central heat to be set at a more economical level. (And the small heater didn’t run all the time, either.)
FWIW one reviewer on WalMart noted this heater does not have a thermostat to regulate temperature. If it’s turned on, it heats. Probably some scenarios where you’d want it on a suitable timer.
@phendrick You’re right, I don’t see anything about a thermostat in the manual either.
I prefer my $20 ($30 in today’s dollars) mini space heater with digital thermostat (Honeywell-branded ceramic tower), but it was discontinued years ago.
@phendrick Great catch. I have a couple of these (with thermostats) and have found them to be perfect for keeping my home office warm (when I keep the door closed so I’m just heating the one room). My wife, however, wants the entire house warm when she’s sitting on the couch and I’ve been unsuccessful in convincing her to use an electric throw or something.
I have this heater and love it. This one is great for a smaller space, under a desk, or nearby. It keeps me warm without blistering heat that drives me away. The price is excellent for this brand.

This deal is warmish.
This deal is hawt yakko!
Looks like it draws 750 Watts. Which is pretty good considering it doesn’t have hands.

Do we have to verify age to buy a “personal heater”?
@phendrick As long as you don’t tell us what you’re going to do with it, no.

P.S. Hard to believe $20 in 2010 is equivalent to $30 in 2026. It doesn’t seem like 50% inflation should take place in just 15-16 years

I’m your personal heater
A heater for electricity
I’ll do what you want me to do
@dpease will you do… anything? ( ಠ ͜ʖಠ)
@dpease @madmax82988 I would do anything for heat, but I won’t do that.
Oh, for the love of… iPhones are not Macs.
