2I do get annoyed when I have a hangover after just a glass and a half of red wine, but I think I’ll stick to a simple water and pasta day-after routine for my ‘cure’. How about you, if you drink, do you get hangovers?
Have any miracle advice other than, you know, not drinking?

Keep drinking?
I drink, but I have only one struck enough to excess to be considered drunk. And I did not get a hangover. The simple cure for hangovers is don’t get them.
I don’t drink (anymore) but a little “hair-o-da-dog” usually worked for me. But, it’s not a cure all, as the piper will still demand his due at some point.
I’ve heard hydration works some, such as alternating your adult beverage with a glass of water in between…then I’m just up pissing all night.
Easier just to not get started. Wine has a bad rep because of sulphites or something. You can try clear distilled spirits instead perhaps.
Not a defense, but it’s been a long time drinking so I’m not sure if the next day is “normal” or hung over. Any medical professional would advise against this and tell me to seek help. (They have, and I may be getting close to taking the advice) Sorry not coming here to seek therapy and I think some of you have been through this before. Where is the pot of over-boiled percolated coffee and maybe a Bible? Hi, my name is…
/youtube eminem my name is slim shady
EDIT but I do use coconut water or the hydration additives that have been sold here.
My friend of similar age but much better shape (outdoor cross-fit and all that stuff) would still have local microbrews or 2 or maybe a wee dram of Scotch. But would switch to water and Kombucha.
Another friend has been intolerant of red wine for a long time. Claims he just can’t do it, immediate bad headaches. So he went to only white wines, but after bad experiences with cheap ones from Australia won’t do those either. (Why would you in the first place?)
So now he is mostly on cookies and sweets.
Since I rarely drink enough to get “drunk”, hangovers are not usually a problem for me. Having a couple (not more than 3 as a rule) of mixed drinks, beers or glasses of wine in an evening (generally accompanied by food of some sort) seems to work best for me at avoiding the whole problem to start with.
I’ve never been a heavy drinker (since leaving my teen years, anyway
), but recently I have been enjoying some of the non-alcoholic micro-brew beers that are now available. Several of them are quite tasty, and no undesirable effects.
As a physician I strongly advise abstinence. That’s the current recommendation from the American medical Association but that’s not why I’m saying it.
