I’m serving as a Presiding Judge for an Election Day polling place here in Houston. In a typical midterm cycle, we would expect an early voting turnout of around 25%. This year, it has been 50%, which is higher than we’ve sometimes had for the total. I am expecting that we will get slammed. It could be a very long day; we have to accommodate everyone who arrives prior to 7PM.

The job has to be done.
