Super hesitant to call this waterproof. Even with nothing plugged in I wouldn’t recommend putting this in a bucket of water. And those flip open caps mean there’s no way in hell it’s waterproof or even water resistant once you actually plug in six lite strings. I would highly recommend flipping a bucket over the top of these once you have the electrical connections made if you want to keep them from being a source of electrical shorts whenever it rains. Of course that will totally f*** the dusk to dawn feature…
@chienfou My experience is that if you can keep the plugs out of puddles and the sockets are sealed internally (or at least allowed to drain) that rain won’t be an issue. Even in heavy rain not enough power can make it out and around to short out the plug.
Extension cords for holiday lights, etc., work fine in the rain and snow. I think the doors are just to protect the outlets with nothing plugged into them.

Does this work with strippers?
@yakkoTDI And with remote controls? You wish.
That second image makes no sense
@Superllama7
Good catch. Same caption on Amazon and made it past all those people.
@Superllama7 That’s not the only goofy image. Apparently, both the 6- and 8-hour settings only give you 6 hours of operation.
@DonBirren @Superllama7
And of course, the ever popular:
Power will turn on at dusk and turn off until dawn
@Superllama7
The remote controls the sun…
Guys, you had the perfect opportunity to zoom in on the plugs doing their face and having Kevin McCalister do his aftershave palms to cheek look!

@mycya4me Sweet of you to say so, but I’m no-mogomous right now…

@chienfou You could put a clear bag over it!

I think the doors are there to break off in a couple of months.
@bee1doll
If your extension cord is plugged into a GFCI (which is code required for an outside outlet) It doesn’t take much to trip them.

They clearly haven’t seen my lawn…
@xobzoo
Especially in the winter…
Bravo for the write up.
I can picture the homeless charging their phones on this.
Sadly (or not) A.I. should eventually eliminate the catchy English-as-a-second-language product documentation we all love.
hell yeah to the write up. give more more of the bone delegation! More of the wizard and his elfin minions
@sagergen I didn’t catch Gya’raj until a second read through.
Do these timers have memory function? For example, If one were to set 4 hrs after sunset, would they remember this if there was a power outage?
@outsourced_bob I don’t know about these specifically, but probably not given how they are built. No obvious battery port anywhere on them.
@jandrese @outsourced_bob
My electronic Wi-Fi pool timer picks up where it left off. It doesn’t have a battery in it. I think it’s a capacitor issue.
