@nobile@therealjrn I’d say no. I have the ones in the video above. They’re for decoration but the light is the LED inside the can (something brighter than a candle) and then the flame illusion is that light bouncing off of water vapor. So it is more diffused and less of a point light source. It’s more for ambiance.
The concept is cool but kind of weird, like they both have interesting flame effects but not candle effects. The one I have is like a miniature slow motion flame, and this one is like an orange jet torch. Neither impersonates a candle very well but they are neat and give a fire look. The one I have might put out a candle’s worth of light but it runs on USB-C, not rechargeable.
The fake candles that either use a sophisticated set of multicolor LEDs (not just a single flickering one) or the ones that use a little dancing piece of mylar that reflects an LED below (Luminara, maybe?) are both much more convincing faux candles but still might be a challenge as emergency light sources.

Are they usable for when your power’s out?
@nobile Sure, as long as they’re charged.
@therealjrn so the light they emit is equivalent to a candle’s? That should be good enough
That I don’t know, I just ordered it now. I imagine it probably will be, just guessing.
At least it’s classier than a plain old flashlight!
