I’d be curious how this compares to the honeycomb designed cushions tilite wheelchairs have available. My SO has one that he’s used for ~15 years that’s getting to end of life, and I’ve been looking into replacing it without replacement the whole setup
@Jamileigh17 As a Nurse, I know that there are certain W/C seat pads that really help. The tech has improved so much, that 15 yrs out; Well, besides being worn out, there are probably better products now. Depending on your SO weight, this looks so much thinner in the front. I would hate if it tilted him forward. I think there are some good Gel Pads specifically made for W/C seat. Might be worth trying, but I am sitting on one that is called “Extreme Comforts” and it seems to really flatten out. I wish the computer chairs that they promise to have good seat cushions, really did.
@Jamileigh17
I don’t know the name of the one I’m sitting on right now, they were sold here last year in a 2 pack and look just like this one except it doesn’t have the angel wings and it’s just okay. I wouldn’t use it on a wheelchair and IMO it doesn’t compare to the honeycomb design one I have, it’s a Purple brand one. The Purple is a hundred times better!
@Mandamm Thanks for your helpful insights! When you say Extreme Comforts seems to really flatten out, are you observing that as a positive for any such cushions? (I guess, as opposed to not at all flattening out which would = way too firm and unsupportive?) TIA
@andymand No, I don’t feel like the pad that flattens out is a positive. I am not a lightweight, but not extremely heavy. I just wish these cushions actually provided support and comfortable sitting. Too much World of Warcraft maybe? LOL.
Gone are the days when i would hesitate trying the egg test for fear of ruining a relatively pricey cushion with egg schmutz. These days, who can afford to waste an egg on such folly?
I don’t know how someone looked at a tramp stamp from a Sturgis goer and thought it would make for a good lumbar pillow design, but this is the world we live in.
Reminder that these may be great for sitting elsewhere, but it’s generally unsafe to add untested, non-manufacturer-supplied accessories to your vehicle seating, which can change the dynamics of how you move in a crash and could lead to injury.
@lisagd
No. Vehicle makers in some cases are starting to make height-adjustable seats instead! If you don’t have one, I would advise it in your next vehicle purchase. (If this causes you to be unable to reach the pedals you may need adaptive extenders.) In some cases vehicle makers have tested adaptive accessories, I would advise you to call your vehicle manufacturer for more info on that. In many cases, using these in the driver’s seat would be particularly dangerous, as there are sensors in the vehicle seat that help determine if, when, and how hard your airbag deploys in a crash. A cushion could interfere with the accuracy of your sensors, leading the airbag to deploy with too much or too little force, increasing the risk of serious or fatal injury.
The reviews I read today on The Mothership were Not all positive. Morning Save may be the better option, still in The Meh family. But I think there must be better options out there. If anyone knows of any, Please Share.
Was using a similar cushion and kept getting passenger air bag errors. Removed the cushion and the errors stopped. I guess it made it difficult for the sensor to determine if there was a person in the seat, as it said no when there was

Anyone know if this will be any good with and office chair?
There are 2 reviews at amazon that mention using it for an office chair. Both are positive.

@ircon96 SHSH - don’t let our chickens hear, lest they strike for higher wages.

Tempted to get one of these and fold it over for a bicycle seat, now that my derrière no longer defends itself very well.
For those whose mental capacities have died to the point of utilizing "“AI”.
Mmmm Pizza Combos… so true. Ever come home with 1/3 the bag left? Just doesn’t feel the same.
That look on her face…
When you pull out to the wide shot, you just know she’s mowing down a whole line of elementary schoolers.
@j4yx0r And the next pics confirms it.
How firm is this thing?
@allem It usually gets its way.

It might be annoying to carry around the airport but this might be nice to sit on in an airplane coach seat.
@sheilaj888 If you can carry around an airport, you can probably sit anywhere you want.
I call these “tushions” and I never take a road trip without one
2 for $30 on MorningSave.
@Mark_L - This link doesn’t work for me, but i have d app!! Thanks, for d heads up!!
@Mark_L I’m seeing 2 for $39.99 on Morningsave.
(What are they going to do with all the dumb "$–.99 prices once the penny is no longer being made?)
@Kyeh Price was changed. It was $30 earlier.
@Mark_L Hah, I hope you got some at that price. I think it’s devious of them to do that.
I gotta check Morning Save 1st, since they may have 2 for $30!! I just hope they’re 18" X16" [accrd 2 Amazon!]!!

@ketchupqueen Do car makers make seat cushions for those of us who are short and need a boost to see over the steering wheel?

@Mandamm The ones on Morningsave are exactly the same.

I can not find them on MorningSave?
@tkocka
@Kyeh Thanks!

Hold on to your butts…cushions.
Angel wings has Juice Newton stuck in my head

@OnionSoup Since I’m old, it’s Merrilee Rush stuck in mine.
