@craigthom I’ve ran across some pretty poorly reviewed power tool batteries before as the majority of the third-party batteries lie about their capacity. To what extent becomes the real question, and since Viners are on the hook for much less than a regular buyer, some aren’t afraid to test and/or open them up for verification.
(Items aren’t truly free; the value of the items are 1099-ed as income to them.)
@craigthom as a Vine person, its hard to even get poor reviews approved. If these people are saying its bad, its really bad. I once gave something 4 put of 5 because while the product was good, the packaging and presented it as something else which felt confusing to me as a buyer and the vendor complained about me.
@craigthom@Kidsandliz Correct, so there’s still some skin in it. Regardless, if the reviews are negative even at their cost level, definitely dig deeper!
@Ozzie2191 Reviews are to focus on the item, not the packaging, no?
@narfcake@Ozzie2191
True… Also can’t ding them for any shipping trouble/issues. Even long lead times for delivery or crappy packaging with damaged products as a result…
I already have something like this. Not this exact device, but I’ve bought various Micro Vacuums, and it’s a good way to hoover up dirt and debris in places where the vacuum cord won’t let you reach, or it’s too awkward to use a vacuum. Tempting to get this one because mine was natively this price, but this same device on Amazon is around 50 bucks.
I bought the Temu version of this a few months ago… it can blow quite well… but it doesn’t suck great… Also the charger was a barrel connector for a USB cable. The only saving grace on that was the supplied cable turned an LED green when the charge phase was completed.

I bet this thing will outlast your car.
I think that’s the weirdest Meh button I’ve ever seen.
@haydesigner I thought it was pretty creative!
@haydesigner @Kyeh I feel like this should be the new favicon
Brushless?? What the hell do you call THESE:

EDIT: Nevermind it says cordless. But I’m still feeling real aggressive about this. ( •ˋ_ˊ•)
@dvermilion This is not a brush.
[Nor is it a pipe.]
@dvermilion @rpstrong
because it is a pipe dream? (snicker)
@dvermilion @Kidsandliz @rpstrong
Cordless? But it says this:
(emphasis mine)
This deal sucks and blows…
@shahnm As it’s a mini tool, it sucks a little and blows a little.
That’s not my bag baby
all I’m sayin’ is this is cheaper’n any of my dates in the 80’s.
@alacrity
So… Your current dates are cheaper??
@chienfou nuh-uh.
the last one ended up in a divorce- they’re waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more expensive.
/giphy paige no!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a product with so many poor Amazon Vine reviews.

@craigthom @narfcake
However it is still cheaper paying taxes on that amount than buying the item.
@craigthom @Kidsandliz Correct, so there’s still some skin in it. Regardless, if the reviews are negative even at their cost level, definitely dig deeper!

@craigthom @Kidsandliz @narfcake The only reason I did was the packaging (aimed at kids) was grossly mirepresenting the product.
@chienfou @narfcake yeah, sometimes delivery takes forever. Took 2 months for a hand cream once.
@craigthom @Kidsandliz @narfcake you get $600 for “free” (untaxed), which is where i stay.

Too bad it’s not “AI” powered so it can suck harder.
@DrunkCat But it will never suck as hard as your comments. Maybe they left you because you sucked too hard.
@DrunkCat Okay, for real, I dislike AI slop as much as the next person, but why are meh product discussions where you talk about it daily?
@DrunkCat
/showme AI sucking harder
@yakkoTDI k
@brennyn because meh decided to use “AI”
@brennyn
It has to be that “@DrunkCat” is an “AI” bot that gets triggered by certain words and then generates what it thinks are witty comments.
@DrunkCat I legitimately don’t know what you mean.
Some of these descriptions sound a lot like my ex.
I was on the fence until I read about the more longer “dechable” washable filter!
Metal filter more longer!

Definitely want a device with dechable washables, ong and flat suction, a fliter, and a short blowing nozzle…
I do not want this but I bought it for the free shipping
Bought this exact thing different “brand” (literally identical/same model) at Costco for $10 more last week. Damn. Works pretty well so far though.
METAL FILTER MORE LONGER
I already got a small vacuum. Here. Works quite well.
This can blow I suppose, but I never inflate things so I’m short any use case.
Plus if they’re misspelling in the ad copy, it’s cheap crap that is very liable to break.
I bought the Temu version of this a few months ago… it can blow quite well… but it doesn’t suck great… Also the charger was a barrel connector for a USB cable. The only saving grace on that was the supplied cable turned an LED green when the charge phase was completed.
Not really worth the $20 spent, IMHO.
I did not want to buy two of these. I got charged for 2 and I’m guessing you are sending me 2!
How do I get the extra payment back???
