@PooltoyWolf@troy I thought you meant that you consumed the beverage, and now don’t have anything left in the can to keep cold… I was going to suggest just getting another can of the beverage, but I see that that would just reopen a fresh wound. Nothing to see here…
Bought 2 when they first dropped and was skeptical…liked them so much I’ve bought 6 more as gifts.
I use them mainly for canned drinks in my vehicles as they’re spill proof and fit cupholders well for irregular can shapes that tend to spill because physics.
Do these things keep opened cans of carbonated things carbonated meaningfully longer? Could I, for example, open a can to use a as a mixer for someone’s drink, and then put the can in this gizmo to keep it carbonated for, say, another 6 months or a few years or so? Or at least maybe a day?
@werehatrack Guinness in cans here is 14.9 oz
We in the USA don’t do imperial measurements, so our pints are 16 oz.
By the way, these are great at keeping your beer cold. I had a 16oz beer stay cold for over 4 hours, I forgot about it
@warpedrotors But “A&W Root Beer has that frosty MUG Taste” — I still remember the song. I think back then an ad song was called a “Jingle” but haven’t heard that term in years.
At old A&Ws, you got root beer in a heavy glass mug coated in ice. I think they must have misted water on the mugs when freezing to build up an extra icy layer. As a kid, it was good.
EDIT there were also some places that had soda-fountain “Sarsaparilla” which was close to root beer but when I look it up it is slightly different root origin. Also was always done with fresh carbonation and hand-mixed syrup.
@pmarin@warpedrotors Damnit that jingle is burned into my brain now! Do you remember the ad that showed you how to manipulate your hand into the shape of a mug and that was how to properly consume A&W? Think of the “Hang Loose” sign and you’ve got it!
I bought these in a 2 pack late last year, these are great for the golf course, for keep whatever beverage you are drinking, cold. You will still need to wash them, as, with the opening under the cover, some will drip down to the bottom of the cooler.
I have about 6 of these. I use them on kayak trips in the summer. Keeps the nasty river water out of the drink, while keeping it good and cold. Probably end up buying more.
I have something similar to these that work by the can sliding into a ring that then screws into the cup part. I’m a bit confused at how lids for these work?? Also I’m going to make a WAG that these are metal? Correct?
@catthegreat@chienfou Basically, there is a sliding lid that opens on the top. The underside of the lid is a soft rubber gasket that surrounds the hole. You open the beverage, put the can in the holder. Then, line the opening in the lid with the flip top hole, press down and turn. The gasket seals the top of the can. It works pretty good. My only complaint is that they don’t quite fit some odd sized European cans, the one I’ve tried is Pilsner Urquel. It’s just a bit too long. Perfect for a standard 12 oz.
Ok you’re missing a vital selling point. I bought these because we live where the insects have no manners and think all drinks are theirs. The fact that these keep the drink cold is a bonus.
@sixthsentinel I have to look up what insolated means; I think it means separated from the rest of the world or society. But having well-insulated beverage containers might help.
@pakopako@Springbank On the other hand I had a college room-mate that was on this plan (back before it was legal). He was an OK room-mate but not sure what he ever really did. There is a painter dude my friends know (house painter, not artist painter) and now we are all afraid to hire him because he seems permanently stoned and don’t want him up on a ladder.

These aren’t worth the money. Getting the cans out is a pain in the butt. Maybe I’m missing something, but the top blue ring is impossible to remove to get the cans out.
@Thumperchick Unfortunately no movement. I never got an email saying it was shipped. I only know a label was created because it appeared in my fed-ex tracking account as an incoming package. I can provide Fed-Ex number, or order info.
I place an order for 4 of these on 3/24/2025 and was charged for them but they still have not shipped. I have messaged the seller several times with no response.
I am excited to get mine, Had I known the shipping would be this long I would have possibly not ordered. I ordered on the 19th of March, and it finally shipped on the 3rd. I wanted them for this weekend and sadly will not be here by then. I really don’t care but just a heads up that shipping may be delayed would have been nice. DHL is the worst carrier up in these parts so it will take even longer.
The complexity of this offer caused a chunk of these orders to ship later than others. We’re working through it and should have these out the door in the next couple of days.
Product is ok. happy with it so far. box was pretty beat up and was too small for the order. Ordered 5 and they fit it in a box that might fit 3 wide and one horizontally. managed to squeeze the 5th on in however. no damage to the product, but at least the box was old and recycled from whatever delivery it survived prior to mine. a resounding meh for this order
I’m planning to take my favorite beverage to the beach for consumption a couple of hours after I arrive. The can is discreet and (I hope) keeps the beer cold!

Yesterday’s item will help in hiding today’s item.
@yakkoTDI Do you mean that in reverse?
@PooltoyWolf Not if you’re doing it right.
@mcanavino @PooltoyWolf @yakkoTDI
I already forgot what yesterday’s item was.
EDIT oh I remember now…
“AI” should be double walled to seal away the creative cancer.
These work really well but it’s a crying shame the beverage I bought them for is no longer with us
@PooltoyWolf What beverage is that?
@troy Nitro Pepsi! Discontinued at the end of January. I have three cans left.
@PooltoyWolf @troy I thought you meant that you consumed the beverage, and now don’t have anything left in the can to keep cold… I was going to suggest just getting another can of the beverage, but I see that that would just reopen a fresh wound. Nothing to see here…
@shahnm @troy I’m hoping maybe Coca-Cola will give us Coke Nitro to fill the void…and it’s not unheard of for discontinued flavors to come back…
Too many colors, which one to choose?
@sammydog01 and tie-dye sold out while I was thinking. Neo chrome it is.
@sammydog01 Neo chrome is really pretty! I bought it last time just for the color (I still haven’t used them.)
@Kyeh I agree, the neo chrome is really pretty. I bought a wood one too, it’s funny. I’ve been using it, so far so good.
These are awesome! They work really well.
Bought 2 when they first dropped and was skeptical…liked them so much I’ve bought 6 more as gifts.
I use them mainly for canned drinks in my vehicles as they’re spill proof and fit cupholders well for irregular can shapes that tend to spill because physics.
POPSOCKETS! SPA KITS! POLLY POCKETS! AWESOME!
@PHRoG
/showme an irregular can shape that tends to spill because physics
@mediocrebot I don’t think that bot knows what “irregular” means, nor really all that much about physics…
@mediocrebot @shahnm yep, bot will not get it.
Do these things keep opened cans of carbonated things carbonated meaningfully longer? Could I, for example, open a can to use a as a mixer for someone’s drink, and then put the can in this gizmo to keep it carbonated for, say, another 6 months or a few years or so? Or at least maybe a day?
@shahnm nope, will still go flat.
@shahnm It is not air tight
@PHRoG and @sixthsentinel
Thanks!
Or just pour the liquid from the can into one of your other million double insulated cups. No can needed.
@Num1Zero
That works poorly for carbonated drinks as a rule. In my experience hey tend to go flat faster.
@chienfou @Num1Zero carbonated drinks still go flat in these so… ?
(this is such a silly product. has that “as seen on SharkTank” vibe to it)
@chienfou @Num1Zero @visioneer_one The process of pouring them causes a large loss of carbonation.
@visioneer_one
I think you missed that last word in my comment…
@chienfou Ugg fine I ordered one. I shall do my own testing.
@Num1Zero

I’m in for 2 as well. Sealable top maybe handy in the RV.

A place to hide a pint of Guinness, well actually 14.9 oz

@lonocat A proper English pint being 20 ounces.
@werehatrack Guinness in cans here is 14.9 oz
We in the USA don’t do imperial measurements, so our pints are 16 oz.
By the way, these are great at keeping your beer cold. I had a 16oz beer stay cold for over 4 hours, I forgot about it
No need to come up with creative names for mediocre root beer. Mug already holds the crown for worst root beer and worst name.

@pmarin
Yes… “Jingle” is the correct term.
@chienfou @pmarin Or “mini-tunes,” as they are called in Demolition Man (1993), where there are radio stations that play nothing but them…
@MrNews @pmarin
oh, yeah!
@pmarin @warpedrotors Damnit that jingle is burned into my brain now! Do you remember the ad that showed you how to manipulate your hand into the shape of a mug and that was how to properly consume A&W? Think of the “Hang Loose” sign and you’ve got it!

@chienfou looks like they clip in. See pic #2
@catthegreat
Thanks. Still not sure how tthey seal at the top though? Any input @Springbank?
@catthegreat @chienfou Basically, there is a sliding lid that opens on the top. The underside of the lid is a soft rubber gasket that surrounds the hole. Which AI service did I use for this comment?
@Tallman610 ChatWAG
But does it come in Georgia red? Why, yes. Yes it does!!!
Ok you’re missing a vital selling point. I bought these because we live where the insects have no manners and think all drinks are theirs. The fact that these keep the drink cold is a bonus.
They leak inside, they aren’t very well insolated, and were just generally disappointing.
The only real selling point for these is that they are good if you are a functional alcoholic trying to be covert about your beer consumption.
@sixthsentinel I have to look up what insolated means; I think it means separated from the rest of the world or society. But having well-insulated beverage containers might help.
Totally disagree. Alcoholics don’t drink beer.
@Springbank they drink alone
(Which is why my friends drink in public only; they can claim to be lush socialites instead of alcoholics)
@pakopako @Springbank You know this had to be coming
/youtube i drink alone with nobody else
@pakopako @Springbank On the other hand I had a college room-mate that was on this plan (back before it was legal). He was an OK room-mate but not sure what he ever really did. My update said the order address was misrouted. How can I see if they have the correct delivery address?
@ambonito Email https://meh.com/support
and ask.
@ambonito Hi - looks like this was delivered 3/27.
My order still says processing has anyone had theirs ship yet?
@PeatyR My order says the same thing
@PeatyR same… longest time to ship I think I’ve ever had on an order before…
@PeatyR @ulcards99
Ditto here…
@chienfou @PeatyR @ulcards99 I received mine 3/24 and 3/25.
@chienfou @PeatyR I did finally get a ship notice the other day, but still don’t have it
@PeatyR Mine still says processing still. Odd I ordered that ear cleaning thing and that was delivered a few days ago. Oh well eventually I guess…

@PeatyR If there’s still no tracking info, toss an inquiry to Support via the form at meh.com/support and they can find out what’s up.
@PeatyR Sorry about that delay. I see this order has now been delivered.
@Thumperchick No worries got them today, seem to work well so far!
These aren’t worth the money. Getting the cans out is a pain in the butt. Maybe I’m missing something, but the top blue ring is impossible to remove to get the cans out.
@ambonito The blue ring is an adapter for tall narrow cans. You’re supposed to pop it out for 12 ounce cans.
@ambonito - It’s not that hard to pop out. I had trouble at first, but if you flex one side, it makes it pop out.
@ambonito @user39184815 There are instructions on the back of the label.
My beer stays COLD!
But it drools a little into the container.
But I like it anyway!
They just now manufacturing these for you to ship? Order STILL processing…
@chienfou
Yeah…finally shipped
Been waiting for my order to be delivered…ordered 3/22/25
@user90341776 Toss an inquiry to Support via the form at meh.com/support and they can find out what’s up.
@user90341776 Hey - sorry about the delay. I see this got a movement scan 4/2.
Shipping label created. Nothing ever shipped. First meh order and not thrilled with service thus far.
@sirradiodude Toss an inquiry to Support via the form at meh.com/support and they can find out what’s up.
@sirradiodude Hey - yours should have moved by now. Let me look into this and I’ll provide an update.
@Thumperchick Unfortunately no movement. I never got an email saying it was shipped. I only know a label was created because it appeared in my fed-ex tracking account as an incoming package. I can provide Fed-Ex number, or order info.
@sirradiodude I have the info.
We’re following up with FedEx on your order because it stopped before getting the movement scan that triggers your order shipped email.
We know this left our warehouse. We’re just trying to figure out where it stopped and get that updated.
@Thumperchick The Fed-Ex tracking details lists the package dimensions as 6x4x1 in. That can’t be accurate for 1… and I ordered 2 can-keepers.
@sirradiodude that’s a placeholder and not the size or weight on the actual package.
@sirradiodude I wanted to come back and elaborate.
When we create a shipment for FedEx, they assign it a basic size/weight. They’re supposed to update that information when they receive the package.
They don’t always update that, which can cause some concern.
I place an order for 4 of these on 3/24/2025 and was charged for them but they still have not shipped. I have messaged the seller several times with no response.
@BabaBooey76 I just posted an update here.
I am excited to get mine, Had I known the shipping would be this long I would have possibly not ordered. I ordered on the 19th of March, and it finally shipped on the 3rd. If it helps at all, These start with DHL, but are delivered by USPS.

@Kyeh @user14914290
I haven’t heard back
@user14914290 just heard it’s coming soon we should get extras!
The same just happened to me. It just opened a ticket. Got the stainless, missing the charcoal
I only received one of the two - Blue received , charcoal was missing.
Same here only recieved one… the charcoal but not the blue… just opened a ticket.
Still waiting for the missing one
