@xterraguy Thanks for the tip. I was contemplating getting one for my classroom because my high schoolers often ask if I have a lint roller. It’s one of the few things I don’t keep around and I don’t want to buy something consumable like that.
@nhendley@xterraguy normal red lint brushes work better for clothing in my experience. You know the one that used to come with the yellow handles in like the 80s/90s
@Kyeh@nhendley@unksol@xterraguy The red velvety fabric type is what i use, but in mitt form, which has a larger surface area & conforms to the shape of whatever you’re using it on. The fibers work so well that dust/debris can get embedded & harder to remove over time, so i found that an equine-style sweat scraper/shedding blade (also used on dogs) is great for “renewing” the fabric & keeping it as effective as possible.
@Kyeh They do work really well. I haven’t bought one in a long time, but that seems like a decent price, considering they pretty much last forever. I highly recommend them, especially for heavy shedders–they can’t handle the volume! Lol
@Kyeh Cat parents easily recognize each other in the wild when we see each other’s cold and vacant gaze, eye sockets full of transparent hairs that we long since gave up removing, clothes… once a 60/40 cotton poly blend, now a 90/6/4 cat hair/cotton/poly blend. We stare ahead blankly, wishing only for a quick death on the kitchen floor so that when the kitties eat our bodies, at least their barfs will be on tile, thereby more easily cleaned and unlikely to do too much harm to the resale value of our homes.

@nhendley @unksol @xterraguy They still have them - these have black handles but I agree, they work great.

@troy Meh should sell these, too!

@ircon96 @nhendley @unksol @xterraguy Oh, I’ve never seen the mitts - those seem like a good idea!

@ircon96 @nhendley @unksol @xterraguy I might have to try one; it seems good for the curves and crevices of my couch. (Hah, so alliterative.)
@Kyeh @nhendley @unksol @xterraguy
For years I’ve debated trying one… this time I’m sitting on an IRK coupon… so… heck yeah, I’ll buy one for “free!”

This is video of the cat hair on my bed, furniture, and cat trees trying to avoid being scooped up in a few weeks.
@steelopus “ruthless unbeatable war” is too accurate, huh?
