@regnowsin Right there with you on music pods. I like Shout It Out Loudcast (KISS related), Growin’ Up Rock (Hard rock from new to old), as well as a couple others are weekly listens for me.
I listen to about 2+ weeks of podcasts a year. some of the favorites.
WTF (going away in 3 week, but 1700 in the backlog)
Marketplace, Wow we Survive, and Make me Smart
Marc Summers Unwraps
I think you are over thinking it (5/10/17 episode I Listen to 2 to 3 time a year).
Bullseye with Jesse Thorn
The interview ( NYT)
Sporkful
Fresh Air.
Since the vast majority of my listening time is while I’m doing other tasks I’m too easily distracted to keep up with the podcast. Typically my ear buds are in for background noise while I’m working outside in the garden or mowing etc. Last thing I need is to get too caught up in a podcast and lose track of what I’m doing on a table saw!.
As for while I’m in the house, I have multiple BT speakers and I’m using them for background noise (music) while I’m doing something else. In fact, PHIL COLLINS is streaming as I type this. Listening to a podcast is kind of like fishing for me. By the time I get started I can think of 14 other things I should/could be doing…
Any of the above, depending on my mood and what’s next in my queue. There are some where I like the banter between the hosts and others where I can’t stand it; I don’t know why. Some favs:
Past Tens A Top Ten Time Machine (I’ve been on a couple episodes)
My Favorite Murder
The Omnibus
The Rest Is History
The History of English
Ruined
I really don’t like them at all. Dunno why, cause I do TV with my glasses off and a book in my hands. But something about them, maybe the lack of background? makes them boring to me.
I tried with Khan. Really tried. Might try one more episodes but it’s not as good even as it could have been.

Truthful
It depends on my Mood at the time!
Short.
No, shorter than that.
Still shorter, so flushing doesn’t drown it out.
The ones that are not podcasts. I’ll just read a book or listen to an audiobook
No podcasts
Any one that plays music with no talking or commercials

@PolloLoco Funny enough, he went on WTF to promote it.
I’d rather read.
Live radio.
For real, not the name of a podcast.
I don’t listen to podcasts, I don’t want to hear people yapping.

It sounds like something you would like a lot.
The only one I ever heard was/is; “Only Murders in the Building!”
I really don’t like them at all. Dunno why, cause I do TV with my glasses off and a book in my hands. But something about them, maybe the lack of background? makes them boring to me.
