Wrong! Wrong! Wrong!
I’m 180 degrees from you on this.
You might call me a detractor but I think you are spreading manure and I’m not here to bale you out.
Deere has become a four-letter word as a result of their “you’re not allowed to repair your own equipment anymore” corporate policy, which has been amusing the hell out of their less idiotic competitors.
@brainmist Deere has been fighting it tooth and nail, and so far I haven’t seen it move to Federal court but I might have missed that. My understanding is that the Feds generally consider it a state-court issue, and a lot of states have no right-to-repair laws on the books at all. (Texas is one such, and even some of the Deere dealers are opposed to the policy, not that being on their customers’ side does them any good.)
Hah - took me a minute!

@rockblossom my brow is furrowed at your response. I think you’re just green with envy. As for me, I refuse to be a hoe for the establishment.

@werehatrack Isn’t that being legally contested?
And yeah, utter dick move.
Meanwhile, my yard unearthed the craziest wrench this year…

@werehatrack I think I was raised too Star Trek, or at least too Federation.
self-repair
@brainmist That wrench (only 1?) is so intriguingly sinister-looking!
